That being said you want to ensure that you get the best replacement glass available with a reputable company and great customer service. I made an appointment online a week ago and received several emails and text messages prior to the installation this morning. The technicians were at the shop 20 minutes early and very friendly and accommodating when I came in. I watched the entire process from the waiting area and saw how professional and thorough they were. My installer was Erik who was assisted by Brandon. They turned the job around very quickly for me and did the entire installation in 36 minutes. Also thanks to Aaron for explaining things to me and providing commentary on the process. Many places weren't offering services for rock chip mending or asked to schedule a week or so in advance. Glassworks answered the call and said they could get me in tomorrow (awesome!), pondered a bit, and asked me to come in later this afternoon and he'd try to squeeze me in (even more awesome!). Told me that it would be $65 and doesn't take insurance, which was totally fine. I really appreciated how upfront and transparent he was about the process even without me asking for a quote. Like planned, I rolled in around the expected time and was greeted immediately. He evaluated the chip from outside and in, and laid me the review: it wasn't star-shaped so there was no worry of it expanding. He said I could pay him anyway if I really wanted to patch it, but the whole conversation was relaxed and no pressure whatsoever. Very friendly and super efficient with both of our time and energy. So that was that. It's sad to see that there aren't that many reviews here! They are super lovely, honest, and professional and I would definitely recommend using them if you're in the South King County area! Despite the various cars parked around the lot, it was easy to pull in and get out. Also since it's a small lot not connected to other lots, there was no pressure in waiting to do the right turn to Pacific Highway (just in case people might feel wary about the turn!).

After doing a bit of research, I chose VanGo Auto Glass and didn't regret it. Unlike the other shops I called, these guys told me they would need a bit more time to properly calibrate the sensors (light, lane assist, rain, distance). They did an amazing job, and I was very satisfied. A couple of months later, another rock hit my windshield and caused a chip. I went back to ask what could be done, and they told me that since I had replaced the windshield with them and it had been less than six months, they would repair the chip for free! The second time, the result was excellent as well -- fast, professional, and high-quality work. I highly recommend this service!
