Wasn't here that long, but still a very cute cafe. When I stopped by, lots of studiers filled the tables. The aesthetic and branding makes the space feel inviting, with lots to peruse. I like the lighting and use of decorative lamps. The projector menu is surprisingly crisp and easy to see, even with the slight shadow occasionally as they're taking orders or making drinks. The Mia-Mor was good, but I wish it had more of the earl grey flavor than the lavender. Still strong drink choice if you like floral flavors overall!
Delicious drinks made well. It's hard to find hojicha, and they do it well! Their matcha drinks are also very good. Kind of expensive, but their prices are pretty comparable to other cafes in San Diego. The space is pretty cool with a variety of seating options. Love that this can also be used as an event space for different types of crowds and activities.
Parking lot: spacious lot Interior: very big area to hang out. There's tons of tables and chairs. Tons of people that hang out. Nice vibe. People come here to study. Drinks: Passion fruit tonic expresso, Mia mor latte, sweet rice oolong ice tea. Nice and refreshing. From clovery (pop up in store): spam masubi focaccia, pumpkin bread, earl grey scone London fog, Christmas cookie.
Solid matcha that I would get again if in the area. The workers were kind and service was speedy. I enjoyed the woody, quaint ambiance of the inside of the cafe.
**August 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I needed a spot with good Wi‑Fi to do some trip planning while we were in San Diego. He found Easy Does It, so we decided to check it out. The space felt like a college campus and library combined. It's really big, with lots of tables and chairs, but nothing felt cramped. There were cozy seating areas and even some couches, so it was easy to settle in for a while and was definitely the kind of place where people can chat, study, or work on their laptops. The vibe was perfect for what we needed, and the AC was blasting. There are two gender‑neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking, which was a nice bonus. I ordered the Matcha Cloud and swapped in oat milk. We found a spot to work at the back of the house. Honestly, this place is huge and a great spot to do work. For space and vibe, I'd give it 4 stars. My drink didn't taste memorable or like something I'd order again, but I think if I'm in the area I might be open to trying a different beverage. Overall, I'd give this place about 3.5 stars.
The Coconut Coffee Cloud was light, balanced and refreshing. The foam and coconut flakes on top added a nice texture to this drink. The barista was very attentive and answered my questions regarding the menu. This place is very large with plenty of seating and looks like a cool hangout or a place to work on your laptop. Definitely coming back to try the matcha.
Wow! If you are pretty particular about your matcha like I am, I would say that this is the place to go to! This might be my new favorite place for matcha in San Diego. If you are familiar with the Orange County cafe scene, this place feels like it can be one of those coffee shops based off the interior design, good quality of food and drinks, merchandise, overall ambiance, and more. The food and drinks I got were really delicious! There are a lot of spaces to study in the cafe with ports to charge your electronics and Wi-Fi. The service is great as well. If you are looking for something else to do after visiting the cafe, there is FotoOp, a cute photo-booth experience with a lot of different backgrounds!
Hugeee fan of easy does it- not only for the drinks, but just the vibes inside and community! Plenty of tables and natural lighting, it's the perfect place to study, work, or catch up with a friend. All the workers are really nice and helpful. They serve coffees, matchas, hojichas, and even wines! The hojicha was perfectly brewed and not too sweet. Will definitely be back here again!
I've been here a few times and never got to writing a review. I recommend this cafe for their matchas and other drinks. This time I got a Passionfruit matcha tonic. It was really refreshing and the two flavors blended really well together. Service was fast. I went on a Monday afternoon and there was no line. The cashier was really friendly and nice. My drink came out in less than five minutes. This is a really cute and quiet place to study. There's plenty of indoor seating. It's not too loud so it is a good place to study at. There is a little Mac computer by the entrance where you can take a photo. Parking can be a little bit tricky. Some spots are limited time with the green curb. I had to go around once or twice to find parking. Overall, I recommend this place and I would come back.
First time here, new matcha lover. Seriously so tasty here, I got the cloud matcha. It wasn't watered down at all and had amazing umami flavor. I believe they use Nami Matcha, long line goes by fairly quickly, lovely hangout spot with friends with a cozy chill ambiance. They also have cool mugs and little knick knacks for purchase if you're interested in their merch along with other small brands.
Super cute matcha place. This space is pretty big and I had came for a mahjong event. They have really cool decor on the store and looks like a really cool event place. I bet there is plenty of space to hang out during normal hours. Staff was super friendly and the drinks were good too. I came kind of late and got a non caffinated tea. Parking is pretty big but during the event time I'll was lucky to find a spot.
A spacious, study cafe with plenty of seating and some wall outlets. Came on a Friday morning, and it's generally pretty quiet because everyone is on their laptops working on something. A lot of solo workers! I visited with a friend just to chat, and while there's music playing in the background, I'm sure people could hear us chat lol. The seating in the back of the store opens at 10am BTW; when I got here at 10am, 99% of the seating in the main room was full. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey ($6.50), and it was OK. I got it half sweetened (the earl grey was just part of the sweetener) and less ice. I could taste the lingering matcha, but not the earl grey. Overall it was a bit watery. The workers are kind, and the cafe itself is very clean. Lowkey kind of dark with lots of window light. Free wifi with password info next to the cashier. I'd come again to work, seems like you can stay here a long time unlike other cafes. I wouldn't suggest coming here to catch up with a friend---unless you're quiet. :)
It is a TRAVESTY... that I haven't yet written about the coffee shop I've dedicated my life to over the past year, because... well, like I said, you will always find me here! OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)
This place was popping. Super busy, line was out the door, but it moved fast. I got the cloud matcha, it seem to be their most popular matcha. It tasted great and you could tell they had attention in detail while creating it. The café itself was busy. All seats were taken. But I was planning on getting it to go anyways! read more

Cute shop with plenty of seating. The hojicha latte and vanilla latte were good, but the matcha was watery. I tried the matcha latte and the matcha cloud latte, and both lacked a strong matcha flavor. read more

Easy Does It is a new matcha/coffee shop in Clairemont in a little center with other asian restaurants. As a matcha connoisseur, I was delighted to see another high quality matcha shop pop up in SD! They are still in their soft opening and testing out drinks/flavors so the menu isn't quite complete yet. They had a full espresso menu, but I opted for the Matcha Cloud (Matcha w / sea salt cream) with oat milk. It was delicious! I also had a Vanilla Chai scone. Both treats were great and I would love to return to try other things. It was nice to have a ton of searing options, and it didn't feel crowded despite nearly every table being full. read more

Went on a holiday morning and came in early to avoid any lines; heard it can get packed. Lots of parking. The shop is still in their soft opening phase. The shop itself is spacious and quiet; I loved the chill ambiance and modern, minimalist interiors. Lots of seating. I ordered a matcha latte with the cloud. It was pretty delicious; the matcha notes are there but not too strong but not too sweet either. I am excited to see this place grow. I highly recommend. read more

Love this new Asian-themed cafe! I've tried their matcha and the yuzu tonic and both were yummy. The cafe is very spacious and perfect for working. The service was also extremely friendly and fast. I will definitely come back here frequently! read more

SD's cafe scene has been popping off lately! I was so excited to see this spot opening up next to Pho Duyen Mai. There was no line to order when we came on a Monday around 12:30PM but seating was pretty filled up. I got the matcha cloud latte ($7) and it was delicious and the cloud foam wasn't too sweet or overwhelmingly salty. The matcha was strong and less sweet than my liking, so I added additional simple syrup from the counter. I finished up the drink so quickly, it was that good. The interior is cute and spacious, but I wish there was more seating if it keeps getting busier! I will definitely be back :) read more

This place really stands out, their matcha drinks are very good--comparable to ones I've had in Japan. Easy Does It has one of the best matcha drinks right now in San Diego, and that's a big praise especially with the saturated matcha market. I ordered the matcha latte with the cloud foam and really enjoyed it, the flavor was strong, not overly sweet...and the ice they use is really good, I don't know what's so different about it, but it's noticeable. Service is standard friendly and straightforward, which is preferable. The venue itself is open and wide, plenty of space for working. They also open at 7am! Parking is ample when it is not peak hours for neighboring restaurants. I will definitely come back for their matcha again and again. A challenge I find with this place is the lack of menu to look at and ponder over while in line, it's only available at the cash register where you order, and I lowkey panic ordered on a whim. You'll have to look it up on your phone. A big chic menu on a wall somewhere would allow customers to effciently pick their drinks, unless it's just part of their aesthetic. Also, a sign that says "order here" would be helpful. Was lining up on the wrong side, was redirected by a customer sitting in one of the tables, poor girl kept doing this multiple times for other people. read more
I got the hojica cloud drink. It's a green tea that looks like coffee colored. If you never had hojica before, it's a roasted green tea flavor with a bit of roasted rice taste, at least to me. When I sipped it the texture was interesting but the chalky aftertaste wasn't for me. The sweetness of the drink was a level 2/10 which I liked. The "cloud" topping didn't do much for me either. Next time, I want to try their matcha. read more

My partner and I went on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was easy to find, as the cafe is located in a plaza with its own parking lot. There is a good amount of seating inside, but it was full when we went. We waited about 3 minutes before we got to the front and placed our order. Staff was very kind and informative, and our drinks took maybe 6 minutes to be made. I got the matcha cream and my partner got the hojicha cream. Both drinks were delicious. They had cream tops corresponding to their flavors, and there was the perfect amount of sweetness and ice in both. I'll be coming again whenever I'm in the San Diego area! read more

Matcha Passion Fruit Tonic is my favorite! I'm a matcha lover, and this is going to be my favorite spot in San Diego. The Matcha Passion Fruit Tonic is super refreshing perfect for summer! Next time, I'll try the matcha latte. I'm pretty sure it'll be tasty too! read more
I have passed by it a couple times in this plaza before it opened so after I saw they were open, I swung by this spot on my way to work one morning. The shop interior is very minimalist with a few tables and chairs. Since I came there pretty early there was barely anyone there. I got the ham and cheese croissant ($6) and the hojicha latte with cloud ($7). I believe I heard them mention they sweeten the matcha with maple syrup (which I would have to double check). I really liked my latte overall! It had a really nice strong tea flavor and subtle sweetness. The cloud topping I believe is just a cold foam. The croissant wasn't bad, but barely had any ham and cheese in it, though. I did like how it had the everything bagel topping on top. It looks like a fun place to study at and they had a few other drinks I was interested in trying! read more

I recently discovered EASY DOES IT, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. From the moment you walk in, the calming atmosphere and minimalist aesthetic set the perfect tone for a hangout spot. The matcha here is vibrant, smooth, and tasty. I believe they use maple syrup as their sweetener, (you can adjust the sweetness). I recommend 1/2 sweet. read more

This is our new fav neighborhood coffee shop! Matcha cloud - slightly salty, slightly sweet. Perfect topper for the clean matcha latte we got. Iced latte - perfect for the summer! The coffee is the right balance of complexity and sweetness. Strong and refreshing. The ambiance is hip, modern, chill, calm. AC is on blast so it feels be like a refreshing getaway from the summer heat. Customer service is top tier, as they catered to our preferred drink desires. It's a good place to get your studies or work done, but it has been pretty popular so you might have to wait for a seat. Overall, highly recommend this welcoming cafe. read more

I ordered an iced matcha latte with little sweetness. This latte had a strong matcha flavor, and they weigh out all of their measurements when crafting each drink. The ambience of this cafe was sleek and minimalistic; a wonderful place to study with wifi provided. Milk alternatives come at an extra price, but this latte alone was $6 - quite affordable for a matcha latte these days. Parking was not a trouble at all, there is a parking lot in front of the store. The service was nice, nothing too memorable. There are free stickers of the business's logo at the front, which was a nice surprise! read more

I really liked the cafe's location - decent parking lot and a lot of tables to hang with friends or study. The space was giving a very "communal" vibe/setting -- which I definitely needed for the gloomy, rainy day I went! A bit of an elevated school cafeteria, which I liked for this particular day. Matcha was good and seemed higher quality than other spots I've been too. We were honestly shocked at the prices. Very decently priced for what you're getting! I got the matcha earl gray, but unfortunately didn't get any notes of the earl gray. I opted for oat milk, so it might have been too heavy over the tea. But hey- the matcha still shined through and I still enjoyed it! read more

The hojicha was very good it was slightly on the sweeter side but the nutty flavor of hojicha still came through really well, the hojicha was also well mixed as it had a lovely creamy taste and was well distributed. The interior has a nice clean look very modern but minimalistic, it had no foul smells rather it was refreshing. All tables and chairs were clean as well. The person taking our order was also nice and patient, neither was he in a foul mood which was refreshing as well. Overall I will be coming back to try more and would recommend stopping by. read more

Easy Does It is the perfect study or work coffee shop. There's plenty of seating and great lighting. Since it was my first time, the staff was super friendly and helpful. My friend and I both got the Matcha Cloud. The cream was very good. The matcha seemed a bit watered down, but with the cream mixed it added to a great creamier balance. Would go again and would recommend. read more
