Wasn't here that long, but still a very cute cafe. When I stopped by, lots of studiers filled the tables. The aesthetic and branding makes the space feel inviting, with lots to peruse. I like the lighting and use of decorative lamps. The projector menu is surprisingly crisp and easy to see, even with the slight shadow occasionally as they're taking orders or making drinks. The Mia-Mor was good, but I wish it had more of the earl grey flavor than the lavender. Still strong drink choice if you like floral flavors overall!
Delicious drinks made well. It's hard to find hojicha, and they do it well! Their matcha drinks are also very good. Kind of expensive, but their prices are pretty comparable to other cafes in San Diego. The space is pretty cool with a variety of seating options. Love that this can also be used as an event space for different types of crowds and activities.
Parking lot: spacious lot Interior: very big area to hang out. There's tons of tables and chairs. Tons of people that hang out. Nice vibe. People come here to study. Drinks: Passion fruit tonic expresso, Mia mor latte, sweet rice oolong ice tea. Nice and refreshing. From clovery (pop up in store): spam masubi focaccia, pumpkin bread, earl grey scone London fog, Christmas cookie.
Solid matcha that I would get again if in the area. The workers were kind and service was speedy. I enjoyed the woody, quaint ambiance of the inside of the cafe.
**August 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I needed a spot with good Wi‑Fi to do some trip planning while we were in San Diego. He found Easy Does It, so we decided to check it out. The space felt like a college campus and library combined. It's really big, with lots of tables and chairs, but nothing felt cramped. There were cozy seating areas and even some couches, so it was easy to settle in for a while and was definitely the kind of place where people can chat, study, or work on their laptops. The vibe was perfect for what we needed, and the AC was blasting. There are two gender‑neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking, which was a nice bonus. I ordered the Matcha Cloud and swapped in oat milk. We found a spot to work at the back of the house. Honestly, this place is huge and a great spot to do work. For space and vibe, I'd give it 4 stars. My drink didn't taste memorable or like something I'd order again, but I think if I'm in the area I might be open to trying a different beverage. Overall, I'd give this place about 3.5 stars.
The Coconut Coffee Cloud was light, balanced and refreshing. The foam and coconut flakes on top added a nice texture to this drink. The barista was very attentive and answered my questions regarding the menu. This place is very large with plenty of seating and looks like a cool hangout or a place to work on your laptop. Definitely coming back to try the matcha.
Wow! If you are pretty particular about your matcha like I am, I would say that this is the place to go to! This might be my new favorite place for matcha in San Diego. If you are familiar with the Orange County cafe scene, this place feels like it can be one of those coffee shops based off the interior design, good quality of food and drinks, merchandise, overall ambiance, and more. The food and drinks I got were really delicious! There are a lot of spaces to study in the cafe with ports to charge your electronics and Wi-Fi. The service is great as well. If you are looking for something else to do after visiting the cafe, there is FotoOp, a cute photo-booth experience with a lot of different backgrounds!
Hugeee fan of easy does it- not only for the drinks, but just the vibes inside and community! Plenty of tables and natural lighting, it's the perfect place to study, work, or catch up with a friend. All the workers are really nice and helpful. They serve coffees, matchas, hojichas, and even wines! The hojicha was perfectly brewed and not too sweet. Will definitely be back here again!
I've been here a few times and never got to writing a review. I recommend this cafe for their matchas and other drinks. This time I got a Passionfruit matcha tonic. It was really refreshing and the two flavors blended really well together. Service was fast. I went on a Monday afternoon and there was no line. The cashier was really friendly and nice. My drink came out in less than five minutes. This is a really cute and quiet place to study. There's plenty of indoor seating. It's not too loud so it is a good place to study at. There is a little Mac computer by the entrance where you can take a photo. Parking can be a little bit tricky. Some spots are limited time with the green curb. I had to go around once or twice to find parking. Overall, I recommend this place and I would come back.
First time here, new matcha lover. Seriously so tasty here, I got the cloud matcha. It wasn't watered down at all and had amazing umami flavor. I believe they use Nami Matcha, long line goes by fairly quickly, lovely hangout spot with friends with a cozy chill ambiance. They also have cool mugs and little knick knacks for purchase if you're interested in their merch along with other small brands.
Super cute matcha place. This space is pretty big and I had came for a mahjong event. They have really cool decor on the store and looks like a really cool event place. I bet there is plenty of space to hang out during normal hours. Staff was super friendly and the drinks were good too. I came kind of late and got a non caffinated tea. Parking is pretty big but during the event time I'll was lucky to find a spot.
A spacious, study cafe with plenty of seating and some wall outlets. Came on a Friday morning, and it's generally pretty quiet because everyone is on their laptops working on something. A lot of solo workers! I visited with a friend just to chat, and while there's music playing in the background, I'm sure people could hear us chat lol. The seating in the back of the store opens at 10am BTW; when I got here at 10am, 99% of the seating in the main room was full. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey ($6.50), and it was OK. I got it half sweetened (the earl grey was just part of the sweetener) and less ice. I could taste the lingering matcha, but not the earl grey. Overall it was a bit watery. The workers are kind, and the cafe itself is very clean. Lowkey kind of dark with lots of window light. Free wifi with password info next to the cashier. I'd come again to work, seems like you can stay here a long time unlike other cafes. I wouldn't suggest coming here to catch up with a friend---unless you're quiet. :)
It is a TRAVESTY... that I haven't yet written about the coffee shop I've dedicated my life to over the past year, because... well, like I said, you will always find me here! OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)

I was so excited to try their matcha but was a bit disappointed. I ordered their matcha cloud and the cream was really sweet and good, but the matcha was underwhelming for me. It just tasted like watered down matcha. Also while drinking my drink with a straw, I felt something on my tongue. I took it out and it was a small, thin piece of wood? I'm assuming it was part of the matcha whisk? I've attached pictures as well. read more

This is a good place to study for a couple of hours. I felt the college/modern vibes coming in and with this place being so new I'm just grateful to find a table to sit at since it was pretty crowded for a Tuesday morning. I didn't want anything too strong so got the Matcha Passionfruit Tonic: make sure to mix it since all the sweetness and Passionfruit lands on the bottom. Overall good experience. I'd come again! read more

I really wanted to like this spot, but my matcha was not good. It had such a weird taste, I feel like they used the wrong sweetener syrup or something. There was an aftertaste and it didn't even taste like matcha or iced milk. I should've asked for a remake but it was so busy, I felt bad. It was really busy and all the tables inside were taken up by people hanging out and studying. read more
i think the matcha latte was okay. not the best in sd, but not the worst. wished the matcha was stronger in my drink, but there was a smooth n nutty flavor to it. tbh wasn't that flavorful to me. they have simple syrup on the side so you can adjust which is perfect for me because i like my drinks sweet. overall, place is nice and seems like a good place to study or do work. matcha latte was mid but i would come back to try their other drinks yummy rating: 7/10 read more
Tried both the iced Americano and the matcha Einspanner -- both were excellent. You can tell they use high-quality espresso and matcha. Plenty of seating inside, nice vibe, and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area. Highly recommend! read more

One of the best matcha places in SD! Each drink is made with care and I have loved watching this business expand. The service is quick and efficient as well. Love the open seating and space-- a great place to hang out or study. read more
I'm not really a Matcha fan but my coworker said she loved this place, so I dropped in. I went with the Hojicha Latte. It was really good. It had a nice Earthy/Smokey flavor to it without the chalkiness that I get from Matcha. I will for sure get it again if I am in the area. read more
Second time here for a Matcha Latte (lactose-free milk). Lots of seating. Bright natural light. Chill. From families to friends hanging out to individuals just chilling. It has that relaxing vibe. Matcha latte is good but could be better (as a matcha aficionado). They don't have many drink options which is good cause they keep their quality of drinks. I'm just here chillin like I have nothing else to do, just people watching. I like the vibe. Service wise - friendly staff. Very chill. I like it. read more

came in on a sunday for a matcha and got the earl gray matcha with oat milk! Matcha flavor was very deep and slightly bitter which i liked! The milk wasn't that creamy and tasted slightly watered down (which is not a given with oat milk imo). they offered their pastries at 50% off since we came in an hour before closing which was nice but i wouldn't have wanted to pay full price since i think the pastries were slightly overpriced. the lighting is slightly odd on a gloomy day and makes me wonder if they have any brighter lights, but im sure it looks great when it's sunny. final thing to note is their wifi wasn't working and didn't let us connect. brought it up to them but they didn't really give a solid solution so we had to use our phone hotspot. read more

I came across "Easy Does It" on social media and had to check it out. The inside is really spacious and has a nice decor. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Iced Matcha Latte and Matcha Cloud. I forgot to ask for the cream top, but they went ahead and added it anyways with no extra charge. Little gestures like that go a long way, and even though I thought the matcha was just okay, I'd give them 4 stars. Would I go again? Maybe read more
This place was recommended by a coworker who knows I love a good matcha latte. I ordered the cloud matcha and it was definitely worthy. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet and extra creamy with the foam on top. Skipped out on the pastries but they looked delicious. Nice open space with plenty of seating. Cashier was friendly. Will definitely be coming back. read more
Easy does it is the new trendy tea and coffee shop in SD. Located in a strip mall just off the highway, it is an area I don't often explore, so I am glad for the opportunity to discover this area. The shop is very minimal and airy. Very clean, white aesthetic. This shop would not be out of place in LA Koreatown. There were plenty of people studying, though it is not the most study-friendly, given many low-lying seats and stiff chairs. There was a bit of a line but it moved fairly quickly. They have pastries from Bakemellow and Split Bakehouse that looked delicious. Service is friendly and they move FAST. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I got my drink both times that I visited, given how many people were ahead of me each time. I ordered the matcha passionfruit tonic (a seasonal item) the first time, and a hojicha cloud the second. The tonic was incredibly refreshing, and matcha pairs very well with sour fruit flavors. This was the perfect treat for summer, though it was a bit too sweet for me. The hojicha, on the other hand, was very, very lightly sweetened, though they have simple syrup on the side for you to add to your liking. I enjoyed the taste of the cloud topping on its own, but found that it was a bit overshadowed by the strong flavor of the hojicha. Overall Easy Does It is a fun new addition to the SD cafe scene. I like the hojicha, which I feel is not as commonly represented on menus. Price range is similar to the prices of comparable cafes. Not a top spot for me but pretty good regardless. read more

Love how this place was so spacious and it has come a long way since their soft opening! Definitely the study spot to go to, so make sure you get there early! The matcha was really yummy and earthy, not too sweet! They're also the place that uses nami matcha and they sell the matcha powder tins too! The service was great too and everyone was so nice! read more

The ambiance was great here! Lots of seating area inside and outside and it is very aesthetic! My only downside is that the price of the matcha is a little expensive compared to the amount of drink you get. It seemed like the workers were very in touch with their community and I enjoyed watching everyone interact with each other. read more
Delicious matcha, I got the matcha latte and I'd definitely get it again! Seems like they are known for their matcha and hojicha. Spacious cafe with many tables inside, but it looks like it's a popular study/hangout spot so plan accordingly! In a strip mall so there is parking available. Would love to be able to see the menu before I get up to the front! read more

This new spot has a very nice and minimal interior with lots of tables, making it a great place to work or study. There is lots of parking, which is a plus being located in the Convoy area. I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the place, along with the drinks. They have a very simple menu, and I ordered the matcha cloud. The matcha was the perfect balance for me, not being too sweet, and the milk did not overpower the matcha. I would definitely come back to this spot to try the rest of the menu! read more

Easy Does It is one of Kearny Mesa's most popular café spots and the constant line out the door says it all. The drinks are beautifully crafted, the space is bright and relaxing, and every visit feels special. Josh the barista was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better with his great service. If you love matcha, hojicha, or expertly made coffee, this is definitely a must-visit in San Diego. Loved the mushroom, goat cheese empanada. Also tried the cappuccino and cloud matcha. Definitely a 10/10. read more
Obsessed with their cream top drinks! I've generally requested less sweetness on all the drinks so far and the level is perfect if you're sensitive to sweetness or just watching your sugar. The staff is very friendly so there were no issues. * hojicha cloud - my absolute favorite. Matcha is all the craze but hojicha is totally underrated. * matcha cloud - solid good quality matcha * coconut code cloud - something I've never had before! This is made using coconut water and the result was lighter and delightful read more

When I walked in I felt like I was in OC or LA and I was excited because San Diego has been missing this type of cafe! The interior is super large and a lot of people were doing work. The first time I went I got the Matcha Cloud and I found it a bit grainy but I did like the matcha profile overall. The second time I went I wanted to try the hojicha but unfortunately it wasn't super strong but still not bad. I think for San Diego matcha it's a good spot and I would still recommend it. I just have high standards for matcha overall but think they can do really well with some adjustments! read more
Loved the bright openness of the place but just wasn't feeling the taste of the drinks we ordered. Service was fast and liked that they do make and whisk the matcha to order. However, the matcha latte was a tad bit watered down and didn't seem like they were using the best quality matcha (i.e. ceremonial grade... if they were, I just couldn't taste the quality in it then). Next up was the Hojicha Latte, which tasted watered down as well. I like my Matcha and Hojicha bold and overpowering. However, I did really enjoy their Yuzu Espresso Tonic. read more
Came back on a Tuesday a little after opening and there was no line to order and was empty with one other customer waiting. Since I came early, they offered me a free vanilla chai scone from the day before. They warmed it up and brought it out. It was pretty good and wasn't overly sweet, and was also moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! As for drinks, I got the matcha cloud which was great! The matcha was strong and not sweet so I added extra simple syrup in. The worker saw me and offered me their bottle of maple syrup since that's what they use at the base of the drink and said I could request extra sweet next time, how considerate of him! The cloud cream was also fluffy, a good amount of sweetness and not too salty. A super solid spot for matcha, I would definitely be back! read more
Finally a matcha latte that stands out in San Diego! I really love how their matcha is top quality and tastes super light and refreshing! The milk to matcha ratio is amazing! Price is pretty average for the quality of the matcha latte! Definitely recommend trying the matcha cloud! The cream on top made the drink even better! Would come back to try the hojicha. Expect a long wait! Lots of people want to come for their matcha/coffee fixes and for good reason! There's decent parking in the plaza. Great place for a study date! read more
My sister and I only tried their iced matcha lattes. The matcha was smooth, however, the flavor was on the lighter side. I didn't finish my latte. Line was long, but it moved quickly. A generously sized café with ample seating, perfect for casual meetups. read more

I was SHOCKED how good the coconut cloud drink was. Seriously one of the best "latte" type drinks I've had at local cafes. If you like coconut, you'll love it. The tomato open faced bagel is also amazing !! Personally, I think it's better than Apollo Bagels in NYC. read more

Honestly one of the best matcha spots in the area. I tried their specialty latte (shoutout to Brian for the rec!) and it was fire. Brian was super patient with us too my cousins couldn't decide to save their lives lol. The place was spotless, the vibes were so cozy, and the service was crazy fast. I literally finished paying and our drinks were already ready. Brian even offered me a cup of water when he saw I was thirsty, little things like that really make a difference. Overall, amazing customer service and a super chill spot. Definitely coming back 10/10 read more

Trying a new matcha spot every month is now a tradition! So here is an honest review about Easy Does it: Matcha Cloud: 4/5 The quality of the matcha really shows in the vibrant color. The iced matcha latte came with a nice layer of foam and a sprinkle of matcha powder on top. It was lightly sweetened with maple syrup, but since I prefer mine sweeter, I added a bit of simple syrup at the self-serve station. I gave it four stars because of the cup size. After just a few sips, the drink was nearly gone. The pastry case was already empty by 2 p.m., which was disappointing. With how busy this café gets, I hope they increase their pastry inventory to match the demand. Service: 5/5 The staff was so kind and efficient. Even with a line out the door, they moved quickly with both orders and drinks. I also loved the small basket of free stickers near the register. It was such a thoughtful touch and a fun keepsake from my first visit. Ambiance: 4/5 The interior is very cute and simple with plenty of live plants and a good number of tables. Unfortunately, every table was taken, so I wasn't able to sit down or take pictures of my drink. With such a large crowd, I think the space could be better organized to manage the line and seating. Overall: 4/5 The matcha itself is high quality, but the drink size felt too small. I appreciated having the option to adjust sweetness, though I wish it were a little more balanced from the start. The café has a lot going for it with friendly staff, good drinks, and a charming atmosphere, but the lack of available seating and pastries held me back. I am a little on the fence about returning, but I can definitely see why it is so popular. read more
