They earned a 4-star in my book, with minor room for improvement. First off, I had a very last minute piano-move need. Seriously, found out Sunday and needed it moved by Wednesday. It was an upright Baldwin piano. Most folks I got a hold of couldn't fit me into their schedule or were 50% more expensive than these movers. The move was across wood floors down two small steps, then into my home which had one small step and wood floors. They worked well together to prep the piano for the transition out of the house, to the truck, and into the next house. They handled everything smoothly and cooperatively. The whole move was complete within an hour from start to finish (it was a 6mile drive from Mill Creek to Bothell). I was very grateful for their service and customer service. The minor room for improvements: 1) They had set out for the job without my phone number on hand for some reason and I had to call to verify. They did have the address, but were waiting to connect with me. 2) I gave them the move-to address and though they knew the general area, they may not have used GPS or a map because they had turned off on a wrong street which prompted another call on my part. I'm not 100% certain of why these issues occurred, but I was somewhat surprised. Otherwise, I would recommend them, especially for small moves like mine. And if they show up with their moving pick-up truck don't be put out because they moved the piano just fine in it. read more

Had to file a police report against them because my husband canceled and they said they would just steal my tv!!! BBB complaint has also been filed. They bait and switch charging way more than they estimated. They also charged twice. Will be seeing them in court! Lyle is horrible and I found many things missing. They are all xcons. This is not a moving company they do not have the permits to operate and are scheduled to appear in superior court against the utilities and transportation commission. You can look them up yourself at utc.gov.wa and I strongly recommend you do. Unfortunately we did not. I was quoted $300 to $400 for a two bedroom condo to be moved from mukilteo to mill creek. They showed up late, did not wrap or cover my couches like they said they would. Causing stains on new white furniture. They folded an $1100 mattress in half to carry it then also did not wrap it and used their dirty ropes on it staining it, voiding the manufacturers warranty. Somehow they left mukilteo before I did and yet I ended up beating them to mill creek by 10 minutes, at which time the pulled in smoking, hope you like that smell on your belongings. They proceeded to carry one item at a time in to the home then disappear for 30 minutes. They asked me to allow them to remove the hand railing and door from its frame. 7 hours layer I receive a $700 bill and am told cash/check only. Even though the bill says they accept cards. Then I'm told we will accept a credit card with a 6% charge. Luckily their billing system is about as reliable as their moving services and would not allow me to make a payment. After reviewing the damage to our new furniture we reached out to the owner who denied that they didn't wrap the furniture and mattress in plastic. We advised there were 3 witnesses and there is even a pic on their fb page showing an uncovered mattress held in place with dirty ropes. Her solution was to send one of the laborers over with a bucket of bleach or pay us $100 cash after we pay them. Needless to say we declined and have asked to have an insurance claim opened. Instead we have received threats, demands of payment, and the owner showing up at 830pm at our home. We have filed a police report and if anything more happens will be pressing charges. The only good reviews on this company are from the company employees and owners. The real reviews are the people disappointed with a fraudulent company who scams people buy bidding low. read more

I am super happy with my experience!! They were running a half hour late from another job; I got a call an hour ahead of time to let me know. Very courteous, professional, hard working, and fast. All of my furniture was treated with the utmost respect, and the guys were sweet as well as funny, non-offensive, professional, and very helpful!! So sooo disappointed. I hired Eastside movers to move a couch from Everett to North Seattle. I was quoted $200-300, which I felt was a lot for just one couch, but he reassured me that it would be wrapped in plastic, and carefully taken care of, so I said okay and made the appointment. They were supposed to be at the apartment in Everett at 10am.. By the time 10:30 rolled around I decided to give them a call, no answer. I had not only the direct line to the office, but the owners cell phone number as well, left voicemails on both. They never showed, never called. It is the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, everyone is busy, and there isn't even a uhaul available to rent for the day. I have to wait until tomorrow and try to hire someone else. They had my contact number, and my husband's, both given when I made the appointment, and on the voicemail. Don't expect your appointment to be kept if you hire these guys! *UPDATE* Around 6pm of the day they were supposed to show up, we got a call from them saying the papers got moved around and we were in the "possible" file, not the "confirmed" file. We accepted the apology, and scheduled for them to pick up the couch the next day. They showed up on time and we're very nice and apologetic.. Luckily, this was just moving a couch, and not my entire house, that would have been much worse. I do feel that they redeemed themselves, however, I would probably go with different company for another move.. Most the time when moving, you can't afford this kind of screw up. They did offer me a discount of $90/hour vs the usual $100/hour, and didn't charge me for the travel time. In any case, I do feel that $225 to move a couch 20 minutes away is kind of a lot, but the quality of work was good. read more

Hoping this review will prevent someone else from making the mistake we did. We found out after the fact that this company was operating without proper licenses and insurance. They damaged our brand new couch and mattress. They have no way to reimburse us for a new mattress. Also, they bait and switch. These guys TOTALLY saved us. We were in a really rough spot where we needed to have a truck unloaded by morning, we'd fallen ill and were sore and exhausted from trying to make our move happen in just a day's time, and we couldn't do anymore. We'd called around searching for moving help because the clock was ticking, and these guys came over quickly and had all of our moving done in less than 2 hours. Andrew and Justin were speedy, efficient, polite, and a pleasure to work with. We would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone, and will use them for all future moves! They were the BEST part of our moving process - total lifesavers. *PLUS: They swept out our truck, folded up the moving blankets, and took the trash bags to the dumpster without us even asking! We moved out of a house that we were in for over 10 years and had WAY more stuff than I thought. I had most of it packed up the night before they came so all they had to do was take the boxes, beds/mattresses/dressers, etc. They were AMAZING. Super nice, personable and HARD WORKING. They were busting their butts the WHOLE time and it was a long day. Probably close to 8 hours but they didn't stop. I would recommend them to anyone moving. This could've been a total disaster but they took care of everything for us (moved boxes into rooms for me at new house, set up the beds, placed stuff wherever I wanted, etc). Extremely disappointed!!! I picked this moving company because of some the Yelp reviews we have seen, and since our moving job should be really simple and straight forward. Prior to the move, I talked to the Company, provided a detailed list of furniture (only large items that we did not want to move ourselves, incl. TV, TV stand, sofa, bed, dining table set, etc. to be moved, provided our move from and move to address. East Side Mover provided an estimate for no more than 3 hours. The movers showed up 1.5 hours late on the day of the Move, due to a flat tire situation (OK - understand sometimes things happen), which completely messed up my elevator reservation time in both buildings (move from and move to) and I had to call, beg, and get the reservations moved. 3 hours later, majority of my furniture was still sitting in my living room in the old apartment. I called the company, and Darcy informed me they would not charge me more than the estimate, and that one of the movers was sick. Shortly after, a very unprofessional, rude individual (Darcy's husband, I gathered, and owner of the business) called me and declared it was due to the loading dock being located inconveniently far across the parking garage (really???). When I first moved in, Adoba did the move-in and set-up in less than 4 hours, including EVERYTHING, large and small, and a lot of boxes! My furniture list had not grown - we had even packed and moved all things except the larger furniture pieces. Often times, the two movers moved a piece of my furniture out and I would not see them for 40 minutes. It was a very LONG ordeal. Long story short, by the time the movers finished up, it was close to 8 hours later, and it was getting dark. Then I called the owner of the Company to discuss pricing. He decided that he would charge me close to 8 hours, more than double the original estimate, stating that the original estimate was non-binding. He also used the "F" word on the phone (really? way to go to treat your customer), threatened me, stating that his guys would not leave until they got paid in full. I felt verbally abused, and physically threatened. It was a long, exhausting day, as a female standing in her living room with two mover guys hanging around, and their boss threating to call the cops, which he stated would cause me to lose my job at Microsoft if I don't pay them in full (really???), I finally decided to pay them in check (which was made out to what seems to be a personal account) just to get them out of my apartment. My husband, who was traveling at the time, started initiating contact with Easter Movers for list of things they moved, and reconciled that to our initial list of furniture to be moved, to explain why the costs more than doubled. They promised to deliver the list in a few days, but completely flaked out, never responding to our follow-ups. We decided to file with the BBB & other corresponding government agencies - Washington state laws state that if business charges customers 25% or more than estimate, written consent from customer needs to be obtained before service is performed. They are in clear violation. This is a moving experience that has turned into a nightmare - after the movers left, we also found 4 supporting legs of our bed were not installed, which I let Eastside Movers know with picture to prove - they did not even apologize! From my personal experience, this is worst, ever moving company that you can choose! I have never been treated the way they did, in my entire life, for ANY services I have paid for. A few hundred dollars we can spare, but want to share this experience with anybody out there - be on the watchout! read more

I'm new to town and needed help unloading my moving truck and getting everything into a tiny apt on the second floor....add to this that there was no convenient place to park the truck, so there was quite a ways to go carrying heavy furniture and boxes. Mark and Jamie arrived early with can-do attitudes and smiles on their faces. I've never hired professional movers before, and boy am I happy I did!! I had always thought professionals would be out of my budget, but Eastside was surprisingly affordable!! Another reason I am glad to have hired them is that when we opened the trailer with my belongings, they had not been secured well and everything had shifted in its long journey from Oklahoma. I wouldn't have had a CLUE what to do. Mark and Jamie made an extremely awful situation better by going the extra mile and helping me remove the damage done to my antique wood furniture. I started crying from being so touched by Mark and Jamie's kindness and concern over things that didn't even belong to them. I will definitely be hiring Eastside Movers again when my husband and I move out of this apartment. read more

Very negative experience with Eastside Movers. Setting up the appointment was very easy. However 2 hours before they were suppose to arrive to help us move, they called and said they double booked. They said they could come 5 hours later than when we expected them. We agreed, simply because we didn't have any other options. We waited around and finally 81/2 hours later they showed up. I am big on customer service and this company did not provide it, or seem sorry for the HUGE inconvenience they gave us. They barely offered a discount for their services and said it would take 3+ hours to move 2 beds, 3 dressers and a couch (we had already moved all of our boxes and smaller items on our own while we waited for them). We did not use their service and ended up renting a truck the next morning and moving everything by ourselves (which took 1 hour). Very unprofessional and I would never recommend them. read more

I'm leaving one star because Yelp doesn't let you leave zero! I'm writing this for my brother whom I helped move a couple weeks ago. Soo disappointed!!! We had packed all of his things in boxes and everything was ready to go at the 4:30 appointment time. My brother got a call saying they would be a little late. 6pm rolls around and the movers still haven't arrived. We call the office and to follow up and they're still running late. Nobody called to say the movers were running late. Absolutely unprofessional on the reception side. Just communicate with customers if something is wrong... Like movers running 3 hours late!! The movers did not arrive until 7:30. They blamed it on the last customers. They were so late we lost the elevator reservation at the new place which would have cut the unloading time in half. I heard the movers complaining about having to walk across the apartment complex to unload. They broke a table when trying to load it on to a cart instead of just carrying it. Then tried to deny it, but we saw it happen. It was 10pm and they were still unloading and asked us if they could park the truck over night and finish the next day! umm NO!!! It was a weekday not a busy moving weekend. We both took a day off of work! It took 3 hours for everything and of course my brother got charged. My brother paid by check and the movers left. A few days later I find out the movers never even turned in the check to the office!! He had to put a stop payment on the check and issue a new one.
