I took my cat in to fit for a leash/harness; Dawn helped me figure out which food I should get for picky eaters and sent me home with a bag full of samples to see what works. Eastside Dog is a breath of fresh air coming back to Redmond from Anchorage, AK. It was also awesome that the staff remember my Shiba Inu Mango! This store has so many different varieties of dog food, treats, leashes, collars, toys. It is a dog lover's paradise! Wonderful pet store! This is truly the most wonderful pet store you can ever visit! Every employee is friendly, knowledgeable and of course pet crazy! They are always prepared to help you in whatever way you need. Willing to give treats on the spot or to take home with your purchase. This place is amazing. Not only do they have everything (and the willingness to get if they don't), but you can tell they really care about the experience and your pet. I really really really like this place. Not only do they have a lot of really cool stuff, but the prices are actually like a buck or two cheaper than other places. I totally wasn't expecting that! We came here to get a Wonder Walker for the puppy. He just hasn't gotten the whole heel/walk with us thing, so we've thrown up our hands and came in to get this. I like that they carry a variety of colors...not just the basic red. I didn't want red, I was so adamant against red that I made the boyfriend drive out to Redmond to come here to get blue. Ok, so I'm picky. They were great and fitted the puppy with the wonder walker. They even carry doggy life vests, which will be helpful when we do our booze cruise this summer. Overall, so happy with this place. I wish it was closer to Seattle, but it's really close to Marymoor, so we'll make special trips out here for the park and the store. read more

I shop here primarily because the dog food I buy is cheaper here than at it's competitors. K-9 Naturals raw frozen dog food. I also get my bones here and they are also cheaper than the other places I go. They have some dog clothes and toys I have purchased and I would say they are average priced for those types of items. However I like the quality of brands better than other places. The ladies are always nice but I think they may have a high turn around for employees. Once in a while they have a sale . discount section which is full of good deals. They have high quality dog treats too. I'm pick about treats since I think most treats even at the fancy places have flour and just garbage ingredients. This place at least has 100% meat and veggie treats. Overall I think it's a convenient location and good place to get my essentials for my pets. read more

Eastside Dog, is easily one of the best pet stores in the area. They only sell ultra-superior class dog food and one of the few places you can buy commercial raw/BARF in a pet store. They have a diverse selection of products and prices ranges, they do carry a large assortment of high end pet products but it's also a regular neighborhood shop where you can pick up some pig ears & Kong. There are other high end pet boutiques in this area, and while Eastside Dog does have some overlapping products, it's not pretentious and it's not over the top expensive. It's a great local business I'm thrilled to support. Also, the service and knowledge provided by the staff is light years above anything a chain store could ever help you with. When my puppy had demodex and a sensitive stomach they were easily able to recommend solutions that would comfort and heal him quickly; solutions they didn't sell but pointed me to where I could. It great to see a store provide such great customer service, even if the dollar spent isn't with them; that's why I keep coming back Especially after all of the pet food recalls, I shop at Eastside dog knowing that I could pull any food off of the shelf and it would be safe to feed my pets. read more

This is a nice upscale pet store in Redmond Town Center. There's a good assortment of better-quality items (leashes, toys, etc) that is fairly fashion forward. The prices are toward the higher end, but not ridiculous, and good for the quality. There is a sale section that is worth checking out. The staff are friendly and helpful, and will offer treats to your dog and help guide you to whatever you need. They are careful to ask about allergies before giving your pet anything. If you're looking for basics, or to stock up on food, this is probably not the place. But if you want a nice tartan leash and collar set, or a gift for your favorite pet lover, it's a good bet you'll find it here. read more

Love this store, staff is always friendly and the store is well stocked unlike some other local pet stores. Great selection of quality pet products, always offering free samples for my dog when we come in and their prices are good. They have a great selection of high-end pet items, but I'm never going back because of the staff. They've always been brusque with me, but I can let that go. But the last time I was there a woman came in and was asking some questions about pet carriers. She was worried because she needed an airline-approved one and didn't want to get turned away from a flight with her pet. The staff members were chilly and unhelpful, and treated her as if her totally reasonable questions were stupid. When she left they spent several minutes loudly discussing what an idiot the woman was and generally being offended and rude about her asking questions. Since apparently we're not meant to ask staff members questions, I'll do my shopping on the internet -- it also can't answer my pet supply questions, but at least it won't talk smack about me after I leave. read more

Eastside Dog's aisles are crammed and they clearly need a larger location. BUT they have everything you need AND want, and of course the things you didn't KNOW you needed or wanted. The two ladies providing customer service were helpful with directing me through the litany of items to find something similar to another product I had purchased elsewhere for my dog. Although they didn't have the same item, they had plenty of other holistic and all-natural items I was pleased to purchase. So, why not five stars? It's in Redmond Town Center, so of course parking is not great and I think I may have a hard time "re-finding" Eastside Dog if need be. Secondly, the sticker prices provided me with a little bit of sticker shock; I left with one bag of stuff including a wool sweater for a large dog for $170. read more

This is by far the nicest pet store in town. They have stuff you won't see anywhere else. Today I purchased a contemporary art door mat that i've never seen anywhere else. THey have every conceivable item one might need for one's pooch, and then some! Huge selection of collars and leashes, bandanas and, oh my goodness, today! Pet frames and bumper stickers and stationery, too. Dog charms, carriers, clothes, training stuff, food and treats, and more items than I could even name. This is a higher end store, so one should expect to pay more than one would at, say, Target. I had a nice chat with a later in there who was a brand rep and doing some tastings of pet food. Grabbed some info from her and looked around. I had just come from REI and saw a lot of the same products in there so I was curious about how much they were. All I have to say is I cannot BELIEVE how overpriced this place is. This is such a great pet store in Redmond Town Centre! Since I don't shop at Redmond Town Centre much I had trouble trying to find Eastside Dog, but knew it existed because my friend told me about the place. And since I had my dog with me I wanted to take her here. I called the store and the lady who answered who I later found out is the owner was sooo friendly and would ask where I was at the centre, so she could tell me which way to walk and so on. And even mentioned that she was happy to hear that we were visiting. Once we finally arrived she came up to us and asked if the treat she was handing out was okay to give to my dog, which I appreciated, especially since my dog only eats grain-free treats. I then asked her about backpacks/carriers that they'd have for dogs, specifically for hiking since my dog is small, and she showed me all the options they had. She even opened up a new box, so that I could try on a certain backpack since they didn't have any on display. When I tried to tell her that she didn't need to do that, she insisted and said that she liked to have one on display for this very reason. I would try on the different carriers, testing them with my dog and the owner was very happy to help me and gave me loads of information about the different carriers, and would take pictures of me and try it on herself so that I would be able to visualize how it looked and if my dog seemed comfortable in it. Afterwards, I asked about other items that I needed to get my dog, including a brush that another staffer helped me find and allowed me to test on my dog, to make sure that my dog felt comfortable with it and wouldn't run away when I'd comb her fur. We then proceeded to look at raw chicken necks and food, and they mentioned that they usually have backstock of certain raw items, so to always ask if what I'm looking for isn't in the freezer. All of the staff here are very knowledgeable about the different food items they carry, which is especially nice when you visit a pet store because there are so many options and you only want to feed your dog the best! They have a lot of items for dogs and currently, had a ton of Halloween costumes! The owner seemed to remember frequent customers and would ask about their dogs. Parking can be easily found right outside of the store on the street. I can't say enough great things about this place, with such awesome service! read more

Tons of good food for pets that you can't find at a Petco or Petsmart. Pricing is about the same as All the Best Pet Care. I love this store! It is situated in the Redmond Town Center just a block off the main road. We just recently got a puppy and needed a bunch of stuff for her so we decided to give this place a try. The store was fairly large sand had everything form homemade treats to any kind of dog toy you could imagine and everything in-between. We ended up getting a new leash (there were about 15 options not including the different color options), water and food bowls, a couple toys, an engraved name plate for her collar and a few other smaller things. Most of the prices were pretty good and we had no problem paying for them. The only thing I thought was overpriced was the beds. They had beds for $200 which I thought was excessive. I didn't get to check out the food or their prices but they had a lot of specialty food choices. The staff was very friendly and a salesperson came up to us right away, asked us what kind of dog we had and how old and immediately started showing us a few options for her. She wasn't at all pushy just informative! I will definitely be back as there were so many cool things in here for our dog! read more

My baby is almost all grown up!!! Anyway, after visiting many other pet stores, we knew the best selection of dog collars, specifically the martingale training kind that we use is offered at Eastside Dog. I admit it, I like my dog to be stylin' so a collar is a very important purchase! With our spotted little guy, non-clashing patterns are hard to come by so selection is key and this pet store offers a wide one. Their selection is not limited to collars, they have pretty much everything else you could possibly need for your 4-legged pal whether they be of the canine or feline persuasion! They offer everything from organic, holistic and raw foods and treats to quality duds, toys and food bowls plus the largest bed selection I have ever seen! They also have a wonderful house pooch who warmly welcomes each of his visitors. I had a ton of questions for her and she answered everyone of them. Its nice to be able to go into a pet store and ask questions and get all your answers from one person than to be passed around to a few people. Every time I come into the store I can't help but spoil my dogs with treats and toys. They also have a great selection of dog food. They will give you samples of dog food even if they bag isn't open. I love that I can come here and be able to get a sample of something for my dog before buying a big bag of it. My sole reason for loving this place is that they carry Ruff Wear. I have an "adventure pup" and she needs some gear for our more advanced outings. We like this place a lot (dog included)! They've got raw bones, Solid Gold jerky treats, and other assorted foo foo treats that our dog "requires" at the most reasonable prices we've found in the Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland area so far. Even though they do cater pretty heavily to teeny tiny dogs (outfits and carrying cases, etc.) they carry a remarkably diverse selection of big dog toys (and Primecards get some percentage off toys!), dog hiking gear, and even a bit of cat stuff. The proprietors remember our dog (probably by the full body wag he gives in the store, knocking over store displays, small children, and small dogs in his exuberant butt's path), always ask us before they give him a treat, and usually make him behave before they give it out. read more

The ladies who work here truly care about your pet. If I don't bring my dog in or they haven't seen us in a while they always ask how he is doing. One employee has even told me to please come in and let her know if my dog passes (he is old) since she thinks about how he is from time to time. This store has a HUGE selection of food, for every dietary need, treats, toys, beds, collars & leashes, as well as a ton of doggy clothing. Their prices are never more and many times less than all the other local stores. My dog has IBD (irritable bowel disease) and this is one of the only stores that has white fish dry dog food that he can tolerate. Bottom line, they really care, prices can't be beat, a great selection of all kinds of items & a great experience to boot. Eastside Dog & Cat's too is worth checking out. Our cats are very picky and only eat a specific type of raw food and she makes sure to special order 3 bags for us before we come in every time.
