We (2 people) had a 3:00 appt scheduled and upon arrival we were told to lay down on the table . We waited for 10 minutes when a man came up and said it would be 5 minutes . 20 minutes later we sat there waiting not to see another person ever after that . Finally left w/out massage or any person to speak with it . It's like he was hiding in the back room . Totally disappointing. We will never go back again . I had an hour appointment for my sore back from driving all day. He worked on the side that wasn't bothering me for a half hour; however, when it was time to do the side that was bothering me, they had a walk-in customer and the lady came back and said that it was my first visit so they would only do 30 minutes. I told her he hadn't touched the side that was bothering me and she said something to him and he rubbed a bit on the other side, and she said it was time to go. It was to be $50.00 for an hour, and she charged me $44.00 for the half hour, and I signed the charge. She said I forgot the tip, so I put a dollar but wish I had thought to put .25 as I was angry. My wife goes there, but I will never set foot in the place again because they have no idea what customer service is, nor do they practice first-come, first-served. So, word to the wise - an Asian "foot massage " is really a full body massage with your clothes on for a fraction of the price! And this place does it so exceptionally well. When I first went in, I had just finished a grueling cross country move & was in desperate need of some self care. A man whose name I didn't catch, did my hour long massage. He was so good at working the tension from my muscles. I am accustomed to having massage on average once a month, and he is honestly in the top 5 of the best I've ever had, anywhere. My only complaint is that the shop doesn't actually have "rooms", just curtains, so my chi was disrupted a couple of times by the woman at the desk answering the phone, or other patrons coming in. Warning: this type of massage is not for everyone. No, not like that . . . Get your mind out of the gutter perv! But seriously, this place is great. I called about a 1/2 hour before heading in and they had an opening, yay! The massages are given in one open area and are done while you remain fully clothed. I choose the hour long foot massage which actually treats most of the body but just gives lots of special attention to the feet, ahhhh! When it was my turn I was directed to a comfy chair that looks like a traditional recliner only its flat on the floor. A large bucket of tea was brought out to soak my feet in while my face, scalp, neck, shoulders and arms were massaged - be warned the tea is HOT! After 15 minutes my feet were removed from the tea, dried and massaged for a blissful 30 minutes. After this I was directed to flip over, the chair was fully reclined and my back was massaged. When it was all over I felt amazing and only spent $39, plus tip. The foot massage itself was incredibly soothing but the other parts not so much, this is not a complaint on my end though. The other body parts focused more of on pressure point / deep tissue massage. There was very little interaction between me and my therapist yet he was able to find my knots and work them out, this was at times uncomfortable but that's what a good massage is all about. I love the fact that besides people coming or going it was very quiet during the massage. Today was my third experience here, the first two were amazing! A male worker took his time and massaged out knots and hit all of the pressure points in my feet. However, today was a total cluster. I know it is cheap ($23 for 30 min) so part of me feels bad complaining but from the moment I walked in just now I had a bad feeling. I should mention I entered the building at 1:49 and was leaving after paying at 2:21 so I am not even sure the "massage" was 30 minutes long. However, I was approached first by the excellent male worker and asked if they had availability to do a 30 minute foot massage. He asked if I had called for an appt and I said no and after some back and forth a female (maybe middle aged) woman came and said they could do it and ushered me to my seat. It started out ok, the male did my scalp and neck massage but when the woman I presume had called for an appt arrived, he quickly moved to her and I was left with the female for the remainder of my "massage" if you can call it that. It was painful and erratic rubbing of my shin to the point I thought she was maybe trying to dislodge my bone. The feet portion was much the same except for when she took a phone call and had one hand on the receiver and the other still violently moving up and down the front of my leg. There was not one part that felt good on my feet or legs and certainly not relaxing in any way. I laid there staring at the ceiling hoping that would be a clue of how miserable I was. It was awful. At the 30 minute mark I got up so grateful that experience was over. My 6 year old daughter could have done a better job. My recommendation would be for consistency among massages or at least to discuss what makes a massage relaxing! Slow down and actually make the massage enjoyable. Today's experience was more in line with the post pedicure lotion application at a very busy nail salon than the relaxing experience I have been accustomed to at other foot massage places. A friend and I went for one-hour combo (foot/full body) messages, not having any idea what to expect. All the reviews were really dated so I kept an open mind. We had an excellent massage experience! My practitioner, a man, had excellent technique. Messages at the Bellagio and the Wynn in Las Vegas have nothing on this place! This was an absolutely horrible experience. I would recommend any other Chinese massage venue versus this. My massage was so unimpressive I asked to leave halfway into it. They said no and switched the masseuse on me...she was slightly better however kept leaving to tend to the front. They charged me the full price at the end even though they knew my massage was horrible and the owner was not apologetic at all. I've been going here about once a month for the last two years and I've never been disappointed! I always get the 30min foot massage, which actually covers much more than just feet: in addition to a nice foot massage, they give you a short but very effective neck + shoulder massage while you soak your feet in nice, hot water. After that, they do a leg massage that leads to the foot massage. All of this for only $23! I've had hour long massages at other facilities that didn't leave me nearly as relaxed and satisfied as Eastern Foot Massage does.
