This salon is so aesthetically beautiful, and every stylist who is there is sweet and kind. This salon looks like something straight out of a magazine. Beautiful white walls, dark wooden floors, succulents everywhere, candles lit. The ambience makes the experience one of truly being pampered. Also, a plus- you know when you get your hair shampooed and the dreaded shampoo bowls leave cricks in your neck and are never a comfortable experience? Well not here. Then the hairdresser called in the owner Michelle for advice on how to proceed. Michelle was adamant about 3 color changes otherwise my hair couldn't be done. Before starting I asked about pricing and Michelle said it would be at least $225 without style or cut. Fine but I only had $200 and I really needed a cut. So I asked her if we can just do one process and the cut instead. Or if i needed to call my husband so he can bring more cash. The place didn't take credit cards or so i was told. At that point, michelle got snappy and told me that I don't appreciate the work that needs to be put in. Also that it would take a whole day. And concluded that and I quote: " we won't provide any services for you, thank you, you can go" I asked about getting a haircut but she insisted. " no, I'm not comfortable having the stylist working on your hair. I don't want you to blame us or write a bad review" I was in tears. I was not offered other option, no one suggested anther appointment. Once I walked out, I went to the Salon at Macy's in Collierville. A young lady named Gabrielle took me in and in two hours, and a free deep treatment and a superb pixy cut I was platinum blonde no brass no ruined hair and it was $80. I left Gabrielle a 50% tip I was so happy. Here attached are the pics from my haircut and color at the salon @ Macys NOT at ALa Mode. So unless you want to spend a boat load of $$$ for something that can be done elsewhere faster better and with less BS and pretentious airs - stay away. Not to mention that the receptionist in question was Michelle's daughter and she simply hung up on my husband when he called to get an explanation for why I was so distraught. Twice. There are better salons and better mannered and skilled real professionals out there.

My waxer continuously asked if there was anywhere else. Yes I want a full face, I expect a full face. The wax was extremely painful and left me cuts and bruises on my face. Warning: this type of massage is not for everyone. No, not like that . . . Get your mind out of the…read moregutter perv! But seriously, this place is great. I called about a 1/2 hour before heading in and they had an opening, yay! The massages are given in one open area and are done while you remain fully clothed. I choose the hour long foot massage which actually treats most of the body but just gives lots of special attention to the feet, ahhhh! When it was my turn I was directed to a comfy chair that looks like a traditional recliner only its flat on the floor. A large bucket of tea was brought out to soak my feet in while my face, scalp, neck, shoulders and arms were massaged - be warned the tea is HOT! After 15 minutes my feet were removed from the tea, dried and massaged for a blissful 30 minutes. After this I was directed to flip over, the chair was fully reclined and my back was massaged. When it was all over I felt amazing and only spent $39, plus tip. The foot massage itself was incredibly soothing but the other parts not so much, this is not a complaint on my end though. The other body parts focused more of on pressure point / deep tissue massage. There was very little interaction between me and my therapist yet he was able to find my knots and work them out, this was at times uncomfortable but that's what a good massage is all about. I love the fact that besides people coming or going it was very quiet during the massage. This place is efficient, affordable and will have you walking out feeling better than when you walked in!
