Had I not looked out as these guys were packing up to leave it would have been left like this and I'd not have known who did it. I would have had to temporarily pay to fix before my HOA fined us. I spoke with Kasey who was apologetic and wanted to make things right. She had Keith come out and he was more than happy to replace our turf at "cost", when we said we wouldn't be using him and discussed what was fair for damages Keith's reply was "a pack of soda". Then he said he'd buy us dinner. What a joke! Apparently this company only makes enough for dinner on each job, if they were really going to replace our turf at cost that's BS. After having so many people come out for quotes I'm so happy last minute we decided with EVT. We are really happy with our experience with them and have no problems so far.. We worked with Russel and he was patient, understanding, and supportive of whatever our vision was and answered any questions we had. I felt so bad because we changed some things last minute the day before install and they handled it perfectly and communicated with us throughout the whole thing. The crew who came by made sure to clean up everything after they were done and picked up trash that was back there which was really nice. They also put the leftover pavers on the side of the house in a nice way instead of leaving out front. They finished in 3 days total and we have been using the backyard since. EV Turf came out to replace turf previously installed by a bad contractor. The difference blew us away. EV took 1.5 days to replace everything with a putting green. We were shocked at how fast they were. When they were done, you can see the quality of the material and work. There were no seam line or bumpy turfs. Best of all, this company offers a warranty so we also have a peace-of-mind. I should've hired them from the get-go. We will be hiring them for turf installation in the future. We were able to get scheduled within 1-2 weeks to get our backyard turf done and everything explained which was great! The price was comparable to other companies with good quality turf. But 1 week after they did our turf a couple areas started to cave/lumpy and look awful. We have been now trying for over a month to get them to come fix the repair. They had one day they could come but gave us a 15 minute warning and we have dogs with a doggy door so that was not going to work, as we were at work. Since then we have reached out and called multiple times and have just been told they are trying their best. 2 different days they have told us they would "possibly" come and never did make it out or update us that they would not be showing up. AWFUL communication. Once they are paid good luck getting anything fixed. Such a bummer after spending that much and being so patient with them to keep getting pushed off/around. read more

If you're wondering if the 5 stars on Google is too good to be true, it is. They subcontract out the work, so they don't have to stand behind what's being installed. We hired East Valley Turf for a large space, so it could be that they are better suited for smaller spaces. However, our turf is pretty disappointing. The quote and measuring process went nicely, and they were able to get started quickly. However, a week after installation, we noticed many small potholes forming all over the turf. It looked as though the ground had not been prepared properly, and the shifting dirt underneath was causing these potholes to form. We contacted EVT about the issue, and they were slow to remedy the issue. Several months later, they sent out a team to analyze the work and they agreed it had not been installed correctly. They agreed to redo the turf, and we were excited, thinking this would be done. Unfortunately, not so. The team did reinstall a large area of the turf, but this time there was an ugly seam across the middle. And just a week later, the potholes started re-emerging. We've sent more photos of the turf, but the team was even slower to respond. After 5 different instances of telling us they'd be by and then no one showing, the crew stopped by and said they couldn't find any imperfections at first. However, they pulled back and recompacted the dirt. Fingers crossed this time lasts. Of note, they subcontract out their work, so this could be why the people at East Valley Turf couldn't seem to care less about our complaints. read more

On May 17th I called East Valley Turf and talked to the owner Kent. I asked him for an estimate and advised that time was of the essence for me as I have a complete pool and dirt lot equaling a mud puddle. He said they could probably install the following Wednesday or Thursday, but he wanted to meet me first and look at the yard. He pushed our first two meetings back and said that he could still install but it would now likely be on Thursday. Then there was a mix up on the third meeting he set up. Another Turf company randomly showed up at 12:05 on Saturday. He set up an appointment for noon so I assumed it was him. However, he was late and saw that I was with another Turf company so he texted me he was there and waited but left because I was with someone else. We talked about the situation and even laughed at the irony. He offered me a discount and I sent him my estimates from  other companies. We agreed that the measurements and pricing was good and confirmed the install...but now it was going to be for "possibly" Thursday  BUT no later than Saturday morning. At this point, I have committed and missed putting myself on with a reputable company so I agreed again but asked that he could promise Saturday. He did ... so I took leave from work Saturday which is not easy. Late Saturday morning, he called to let me know they ran behind and he could not make it until next week. I of course want nothing to do with him now but he dropped a huge pile of quarter minus in my street (blocking my car in) Saturday. I begged him to move the sand out of my street and we could discuss the turf later. Again,he promised to move the dirt that day. He then said he could not find a crew but Sunday for sure. Today is Sunday. No crew, I took a different car to work today and will be shoveling sand tonight...after work!  I am disgusted with the unprofessional, lying nature of this company. I don't know how they have these good reviews...I was duped but you don't have to be. Run! Do NOT hire EAST VALLEY TURF! read more
