This restaurant has been around a long time, if you are looking for a tried and true Chinese restaurant in Staten Island that serves cocktails, this is a decent option. The decor has not been updated in a long time but it doesn't look it's age either. It's clean Asian themed decor. Service is efficient, not particularly warm but not bad. I ventured outside my normal choice and I won't be doing that again. My usual go to is the egg rolls, pineapple fried rice and I add shrimp for my drink I ask for pineapple juice and coconut rum. This time I ordered pan fried noodles with seafood and the frozen mango margarita. I was disappointed, the dish lacked the flavor I was expecting and so did the cocktail. My husband had our usual and he was very happy, our friends had the chicken pad Thai and mango mojito and they were also very happy. Next time, I'm going back to my usual order lol. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner one night and also dim sum on a Saturday morning! The staff was so excited to see us and enthusiastically sat us down, which was really nice. I was surprised to find that they offered authentic cantonese food, which is difficult to have in the area. For dinner we ordered the scallion pancakes, beef chow fun, and sesame chicken. As a big fan of scallion pancakes, they lived up to my expectations and had enough scallion flavor, but could be crispier. The portion of the beef chow fun was extremely large and I ended up having leftovers for several days. I really enjoyed the beef chow fun and it tasted very authentic, although it was a bit oily for my liking. My only complaint was that the food took over half an hour to come out, which was a bit irritating as there seemed to be very few other guests dining at the time. The dim sum was also very enjoyable and they had a very wide selection. I would recommend going with someone who knows how to speak and understand Chinese though, as some of the staff only speak Chinese. The restaurant was surprisingly packed and popular around Sunday morning, which goes to show that it's pretty well known for dimsum. Overall, I will definitely be back to East Pacific if i'm looking for authentic canto food on the island! read more

Went here for a late lunch / early dinner. We had the spicy dumplings as an appetizer and for our main courses my wife had Pad Thai, and I had Thai String Beans with Chicken. We both enjoyed our entrees very much. The string beans were cooked well and delicious. My only disappointment was the dumplings. They were flavored very well, but were what I like to call "Staten Island Dumplings" in that they were way too heavy with a thick wrapper. I prefer the thin wrapper, softer type of dumpling. Service was adequate but otherwise unremarkable. We will eat here again. read more

My new favorite authentic Chinese spot! I've gone to this location and it's always busy but quick at getting your food and always delicious!!! I'm not a fan of restaurants at all mall but this place pleasantly surprised me and easy to get in and out as it's not in the mall. I'll post pictures next time I get a chance. I forget about this place. I don't go to the SI Mall often. The service is good. The sushi is really good here. I need to eat in some time, I usually do take out. I love that they still add fish roe to some of their rolls. So many restaurants don't anymore. I really enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura Roll I ordered and it had the fish roe. Very tasty and filling too. I didn't realize they served dim sum items close to my house. Then when I did realize I proceeded to order roughly three days worth of food. Yep. The restaurant hopefully provided me with 4 sets of chopsticks, but nope, all me. What I ordered: the eggplant shrimp, ha churng fan, scallion and shrimp dumplings, pork bun, sesame ball, beef spare ribs, and fish ball. I haven't been out for dim sum since before pandemic times. To say this stuff hit the spot is an understatement. I told hubby that once I make my big money (haha never) I'm going to go feast on dim sum before a grand shopping spree. The ambiance is very soothing on the week day after 6 pm. During the weekend it's a bit busy as expected. The food is delicious! That explains the second visit in less than a week. I had the seafood casserole on my second visit. My left over take home food was far better than what I ate while I was there. This could have been because the dish was very hot perhaps the flavors did not have settled until the next day. In any event the dish was delicious!! On Saturday, my first visit with two friends. One of which raves about the restaurant. I ordered the sizzling vegetables with Shrimp and a size of brown rice ... also very good . I will definitely go back to try the snapper , the honey ribs, and so much more interesting dishes . Con: The woman server was not pleasant at all despite us all trying to get along and make the best at her rude behavior.. such as reaching over us, dropping the plates down aggressively, nonverbal directions to take the plate from her hand. We were seconds from calling the manager. I think I returned to the restaurant alone to see if the service was an isolated case and also to try another dish. Although, I was sat in the exact same table as with my friends prior. The server was better not great but better. On a recent visit, with 2 friends there was a birthday celebration taking place in the reserved area of the restaurant. All of a sudden several staff members came out with two giant, live, crabs; each had to have weighed about 8 to 10 pounds and between 14 to16 inches in diameter and costing $1,600, which we were told after questioning one of the staff members about the abuse. The staff was parading the crabs around, letting people in the restaurant take photos with the crabs and mocking the crabs while they were being suspended by their claws. The crabs were struggling to get away and trying to snap their claws, much to the amusement of the staff. While it might seem crazy to some, we actually saw the fear and panic in the crab's eyes. The whole spectacle was absolutely disgusting and the three of us were completely turned off. When we inquired if they killed the crabs humanely, the manager laughed, told us to enjoy our meals and walked away. We couldn't eat and left right away. If you have any regards for animals, do not go to East Pacific, and tell all your friends not to eat here either as they are barbaric. I wish I could leave a negative star. read more

One of my favorite dim sum and lunch place on the island. There's not that many authentic Cantonese style restaurants on the island but this one does not disappoint. Lots of local come here to indulge in tripes, chicken feet, intestines but they also have your standard pork shumai, shrimp dumplings, etc. my coworkers love coming here for their chicken terriyaki entree and I always enjoy a beef stew hor fun noodle soup! read more

I used to dine frequently at this East Pacific restaurant. It's convenient and it's within the Staten island mall. Food was good. But the customer service is poor to worst. Waiter/waitress are less enthusiastic when it comes to service. Lazy and rude. Aside from laziness, they are squeaky too. They quick at adding 20% tip to customer's bill by their choice not by the customers' choice. Food becomes lousy once past 8:00 pm. Waiters would intentionally rush their customer to finish their meal so that the restaurant can close early. Aside from the rush, they failed to replace clean plates. Customers had to self serve and self acquired napkins and etc. I would not go back anytime soon unless the restaurant improve their service. How are these lazy waiters deserve 18-20% tips if customers have to self serve? read more

East Pacific serves up dim sum and banquet-style fare if you're in the mood. Looking at the logo, it looks like East Buffet started a chain. We went to get pickup from there and here are the results: - Golden Double Eggs Fried Rice: I liked is a lot. It tasted like very good high wok-hey flavored fried rice. Uncle Roger would approve. - Fried Flounder: Very fried and crunchy. The soy sauce wasn't enough to un-crunch the fried breading. Maybe more sauce. - Seafood Tofu Hot Pot: Fresh, flavorful, filling. It would be excellent if not for the piece of clear plastic on the bottom of the container. I hope that doesn't happen again.... - Sweet and Sour Ribs: Mainly bones, not much meat. Also, no sweet and sour sauce (they forgot to pack it). It pissed my mom off so much. I made my own sweet and sour sauce and re-fried it with everything. So.... can't really review theirs, can I? So, if you ignore the plastic in the food and forgetting the sweet and sour sauce, the food is decent. But I think next time we'll try Precious Island Dim Sum. read more

Unsure whether there are even any other options, to be honest, but East Pacific's dim sum is authentic and pretty on point ... also comparable to the ones we've ordered from other boroughs. One of my favorite place to get Asian food on Staten Island. I used to come here often when I was in high school with my mom. I haven't been back for awhile, so it was a happy surprise to find they have added new menus since but kept some of my old favorites like Pineapple fried rice and Sizzling plates. Their dim sum dishes are on point--I especially liked the vegetable dumplings and eggplants stuffed with shrimp. Tuna carpaccio is my new favorite, and I would definitely order again the next time. Group of 12 came to East Pacific restaurant. Food review consensus it was alright. Nothing special. Lots of leftovers and a big bill. Couple guests were given a to-go menu. When elderly gentleman asked for shrimp and peas. (He has dental issues and needed something soft) He was told rudely that he can't order off a to-go menu. (That he was given) Then handed another menu and directed to a $30+ seafood dish. He decided just to eat a little of the family style plates that were ordered. No respect for elderly. I also was given a to-go menu. I felt like a salad and it was on both menus. I noted 3 salad dressings. I ask if I may taste 2 of them to decide which i liked. I was also treated rudely and told they are already made. I questioned that? You mean salads are NOT made fresh to order? No. It's mixed. Hmm i find that hard to believe. I felt that the waitress had a attitude with us. I did NOT feel like ordering anything at that point. I walked out to OUTBACK had a Ribeye and returned to our group.
