Sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and egg roll
    Bonnie B.

All these years of going to Staten Island and never been here and never heard of it. How did I not know about this restaurant! Lovely people when you walk in and it was lunch so we were seated right away. White linen table cloths throughout. You actually get a pot of tea that is included. There are too many places that charge for a pot of tea now. There is a lunch special but we ordered from the combination section. That comes with a choice of soup, we got the wonton. Old school wonton with nice soft slices of pork and lots of greens. Homemade noodles on the table with mustard or duck sauce for dipping. I ordered sweet and sour chicken which came with a huge egg roll and fried rice. The chicken had the lightest crispiest batter fried to perfection. My friend got the general tso's chicken that also came with fried rice and a nice portion of broccoli, nice and green perfectly cooked. Just when you think you're done the waiter asks what flavor ice cream you'd like. I chose vanilla of course and my friend got pistachio. I don't know who's ice cream they use but it was excellent! Soft enough to eat without sliding all over the bowl. Perfect end to a perfect meal! Waiter was very nice and the place including the bathroom was spotless. Almost forgot to get a pic of my dish but this is what I took home. If you haven't been you've got to go. The two combos included soup and dessert for us cam to about $40.

We were greeted at the door with smiles and then seated. The decor is amazing. The food was amazing from the delicious old style Chinese noodles with duck sauce and mustard straight to the pistachio ice cream. I had the roast pork egg foo young lunch special with brown rice and wonton soup and it was amazing. Haven't seen such large pieces of pork in egg foo young ever and haven't seen a soup that authentic since I was a kid with large pieces of pork and bok choy in the soup. I will definitely be returning!

    Spare rib combination. Absolutely delicious

The food and service is top notch! The ambiance is a bit dated. Like I walked back into 1992. I had the wonton soup and spare ribs combination. Both really really good. The only issue I had is that they charge $4.00 for a can of soda. It's not the $, it's the principle Smokey lol. I highly recommend this really good restaurant.

NEGATIVE 5 STARS!! Terrible!!!! Their Phone goes to a unset up voicemail Ordered at 5:03pm off qmenu from their web site. Delivery time stated on qmenu would be 5:33pm. 6:33pm call qmenu, they tried calling owner & manager...neither answered! Food arrived at 8:13pm like everything is fIne!..Got annoyed when I refused it!! Still can't get thru ro them on the phone Thank God for Oriental Plaza!!

Went in to get take out and there was a half dead roach on the floor!!! I don't know how this place got an A rating. NEVET AGAIN.

    Ice cream is very good

Talk about phenomenal service. Our server was absolutely the best guy. Friendly funny and down to earth. I reside in Brooklyn but we were visiting friends on a Sunday that stay near by. Now everytime I visit I'll want to come here. The food portions for the price is perfect and it's the authentic old school chinese dinner experience. I'm talking the free wonton strips with hot mustard and duck sauce on the table. Cocktail cups designed like tiki cups. Such nostalgia. It was 5 of us ladies . We ordered for the table pork spare ribs and spring rolls . A shrimp pork shumai. Entrees General tso , a happy family (shrimp , pork, scallops, chicken i think lobster too) shrimp with noodles dishe and then a Polynesian speciality dish Subgum worba . We all take home bags because of the large portions and our server even brought some pineapple to finish off the meal with. They have parking available and they play lotto in there. Great spot to check out.

If you know Jade islands, roast pork do you know this is a cheap version of dog food

Dishes lack flavor. Portions are too small for the price. Definitely have no reason to go back.

(I say hot because I burnt my mouth taking my first bite haha...) I ordered the Beef Lo Mein, which was good but different from other lo meins I usually order because it had a more soupy sauce! That's when we found Lion Dance in Staten Island. Honestly, I didn't expect much because this place is on Staten Island. I've lived here my whole life, and to be real, not a lot of food spots here are that good. I usually go to other parts of NYC to eat. But BOY, WAS I WRONG. I got the pork soup dumplings, lotus leaf steamed rice with beef and broccoli, shrimp siu mai, and a mango green tea with medium sugar and mango jelly. Everything was so good! The biggest surprise was the lotus leaf steamed rice, it had so much flavor and went perfectly with the beef. The portion was big too. The soup dumplings were juicy, the siu mai were fresh, and the mango green tea was super refreshing. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and nicely decorated. Overall, I loved the food, the vibe, and the service. Definitely coming back and if you're from Staten Island, trust me, this spot is worth checking out!

You enter and tables are right inside. This is probably one of the first most authentic Cantonese places I come across on the island. It is unique in a sense that it tries to accomplish so much and accommodate many populations at the same time. I can't tell you if I should call it a restaurant or cafe. For instance, right when you walk into the restaurant/cafe, you get a sense that if you want to sit down to eat and dine, you can expect services. Though, this is not typically how you'd feel if you were to walk into a Cantonese bakery. In a regular Cantonese cafe, you are not expecting services. Rather, you can buy a cup or milk tea or a Bao, and you can chill and gossip with your friends. To sum up, just know that you will get service if you are getting a meal here. The waitresses are incredibly nice and warm. In the left side of the room or straight ahead from the entrances, there are counters specifically for takeouts . I ordered 1lb roasted pork, Cheung fun, a honey tea, and a Bao. They are pricier than Manhattan and Brooklyn, however, all are incredibly delicious and authentic. I recommend it.
