Carpet was dirty with food and wrappers, menu had sauce in between the pages, both food and tea were not good , waiter was sweet but very slow even though there wasn't too many people there.

Stale crushed won ton strips with duck sauce n

I Ordered Gran Marnier with crunchy shrimp, broccoli and walnuts and a small order of bbq spare ribs. A pint of white rice and a bag of won ton strips came with the meal. The order of ribs came with nothing I expected a pint of rice too. So two entrees and not enough rice. The ribs were OVERCOOKED,CHEWY and COLD. Both entrees were COLD, The broccoli was Cold like from a freezer bag. It ALL had to be heated up.The won ton chips were broken lil pieces and very stale. It was the worst dinner. Like it was siting for a long time. Maybe not enough orders go to that location and food sits around. Save your money order elsewhere. My mistake I didn't look at other reviews .

My new favorite place. The fried rice is delicious, I'd recommend this restaurant to my co workers and family any day!

Great spot for Chinese food on Staten Island especially if you want to eat in. Nice clean old school dining room with comfy booths. Lots of crunchy noodles to munch on when you get to the table. Everything has always been fresh and tasty. Workers are nice and accommodating. Good comes out fast

Pretty nice restaurant with good service . Enjoyed dinner and would go back and try more options so I can possibly change my rating . Apps were tasty as was our entree.

Peking duck with super crispy skin (order comes with thin, tortilla-like pancakes, julienned scallion, and hoisin sauce)

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant on Staten Island! I love the wonton soup, the broth cannot be beat.

Mai Tai!! Crushed ice with the Mai Ta is the best. Peking Duck with pancakes are delish. Great spicy dumplings also.

We both enjoyed our entrees very much. The string beans were cooked well and delicious. My only disappointment was the dumplings. They were flavored very well, but were what I like to call "Staten Island Dumplings" in that they were way too heavy with a thick wrapper. I prefer the thin wrapper, softer type of dumpling. Service was adequate but otherwise unremarkable. We will eat here again.

The decor has not been updated in a long time but it doesn't look it's age either. It's clean Asian themed decor. Service is efficient, not particularly warm but not bad. I ventured outside my normal choice and I won't be doing that again. My usual go to is the egg rolls, pineapple fried rice and I add shrimp for my drink I ask for pineapple juice and coconut rum. This time I ordered pan fried noodles with seafood and the frozen mango margarita. I was disappointed, the dish lacked the flavor I was expecting and so did the cocktail. My husband had our usual and he was very happy, our friends had the chicken pad Thai and mango mojito and they were also very happy. Next time, I'm going back to my usual order lol.

I was asking about reservation, they said it's not needed-the Jade Island is huge! But we called for a reservation... I was very skeptical from the start about Chinese cuisine-not my taste, but my friends repeated about old school, classic Chinese Food! At the start-yes, the place is huge! With different shape tables -from 2 to bigger for 10 and more... Surprisingly, there were still a lot of diners at that late time... I forgot Chinese food totally and opted for a safe option- Fried rice with shrimps- very tasty, not salty..huge portion-took home half of it. We ordered Tofu with veggies-crispy veggies, Bock Choi not over- or under cooked-perfect - and tofu-delicious and family size prefix for 2 -with soups/spring rolls and main-chicken... Size for 2 would definitely feed 3-5 people! Great service, very attentive; -spacious seats, nice ambience - and great prices! Would definitely go again, if my friends decide to eat there. Thank you, Jade Island staff!

This place is so nostalgic just for the decor alone, it makes me long for the good old days! This is as American as Chinese food can get, so if you're looking for authentic Chinese food, you need to go elsewhere. This place has big portions, great service, and caters to a more American dining experience with big tables for parties or even reunions. Non-negotiable items I have to get every time I'm here: - egg rolls - big and crispy - wonton egg drop mixed - the pieces of pork are HUGE - orange chicken - perfect white chicken meat every time! - chicken and broccoli - tried and true We usually come around 5PM on a Saturday to beat the rush and it works out perfectly that we don't need to make any reservations.
