I'm extremely disappointed in the bad service I received on my third visit here. I've bought three beautiful Michael Carr plant pots from here before and recently sent an email and Instagram messages to East End Garden Center about one pot in particular that I was looking for to match an existing one I have. I am well aware that there is currently a pandemic and there would be delayed responses to messages on social media platforms. After not receiving a response in over a month, I decided to stop there on my way home today and a lady who I assume is one of the main ladies there, seemed to be very agitated with my question about whether they had the pot I was looking for, but gave a white gentleman more polite responses. What I find particularly frustrating about this is that I've tried to reach out SEVERAL TIMES to inquire about the item before coming to the store. There was no need to be rude. Also, the time it took for 3 ppl to check for the pot, someone could've already responded to my msg on IG. But I digress. My hope is that you all take the reviews posted below into consideration. We are all learning, try to be better. As for me, I'm not going back. This isn't my first bad experience there but I decided to return because they are the only ppl I've come across that carry Michael Carr designs and unfortunately the public can't order these pots directly from the website. If anyone knows of any other places that do AND offer excellent customer service, please msg me. Stay safe! Be Polite

Ready for a long, cold winter.

I'm very happy with my dealings with the East End Garden Centre. I called to set up firewood delivery (and stacking). The staff was friendly and the arrangements were made quickly and efficiently. The cost was very reasonable as well. The delivery guys were on time and very pleasant and professional. It's going to be a long winter (even more so with the pandemic), but I'm well stocked up with firewood. So pleased with the East End Garden Centre and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

Small selection. Rude staff seemingly with no knowledge of or interest in gardening.

I came in looking for a house plant for my boyfriend and the owner was so knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions and getting the perfect plant. Not only that, but while potting the plant for me, he had wrapped it up very considerably knowing that I was walking (aka he had double bagged it and stapled it mostly shut since it was below 0 temp outside and he didn't want it affecting the plant). The selection of plants and prices were great! There's also a cute cafe underneath this plant shop which is great if you want a quick drink. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a house plant - thank you Plant Society!

This plant shop is tucked away but houses some of the most beautiful plants, planters, pots, tools and accessories. A friend happened upon their website and I needed to pop in to see it for myself. It was love at first sight! The selection at other plant shops/nurseries varies and that is similar to here. However, that's the exciting part. Plant Society not only carries your monsteras and money trees, but they also have some rare finds and imports, if you just ask. I always find something that intrigues me. Their plants are in good condition, well cared for, free of bugs, and decently priced. They also have some beautiful tools and accessories such as fancy watering cans that can boost the aesthetic in your place going from drab to fab in an instant. If live plants aren't your thing, they have some beautiful dried bouquets. The other aspect of this shop that brings me back is the top notch customer service. You can typically find Michael here and readily available to answer all your plant questions. He has been super helpful and has offered help by suggesting pet-friendly options to just entertaining my curiosity. I always leave happy and more than my arms can carry sometimes. The one good thing about breaking the bank here is that they have a rewards program, which other plant shops don't usually offer. It does curb a bit of the guilt because points will earn you certain dollars off your next purchase. If you're not signed up for their newsletter, you absolutely should because they have frequent sales. If you love plants or even just want to take a peek, go ahead and indulge your inner plant mom (or dad)! You won't regret it - I promise!

The staff (specificaly Cheyenne) were so enthusiastic offering ideas and fun facts about how to care for the plants at home. I didn't notice at first, but there was someone tailing me. I walked back and forth to be certain. Soon he was just standing two feet away from me. I ended up buying some plants (which I probably shouldn't have. One had some sort of blight.) I was going to ask for help at the counter. However, they were pretty rude at the cash and it was then I realized the follower worked there. Then two of them followed me all the way to the car. I don't know if they thought my pregnant belly was a plant or something, but I was just wearing a summer dress and sandals. No where to hide anything. Plus I was holding my wallet. No purse at all. Honestly, I was scared of the two workers following me. I called my friend to tell her just in case they decided to jump me. When I got to the car, they stared at me and quickly put my plants in the back, then drive away. I have never seen such behaviour and I'm still wondering if they were planning to jump or attack me. I will not shop there again.
