Priceline and Easirent should be ashamed of themselves. This is 20 minutes off site and after a 25 minute wait in Austin heat this is ridiculous. They shouldn't even be able to advertise as a part of the airport. 2 stars for Bobby and the other friendly staff. They helped to redeem this experience for us. read more

Worst experience in rentals. It should NOT be advertised as an "Airport Location". Took TWO shuttles to finally get to the place. Check-in late at night took forever with bass thumping in the place the whole time. The vehicle was disgusting. Dog hair everywhere and dog slobber all over the rear passenger window. They had not other small SUV's on the lot so we have no other choice. Gas tank was 3/4th full yet we were required to return it full. Took a pic of this as we left the lot. Finally, they forced insurance coverage on us that we have NEVER needed with any other rental place. Cost me $197 EXTRA! DO NOT USE EASIRENT.COM!!! My goal is to put them out of business for refusing any credit or refund for the horrible experience. read more

Absolutely horrendous. Got to Dallas Lovefield waited over an hour and a half in the heat for a shuttle, the shuttle was supposed to be every 30 minutes. Finally got to the place where I was supposed to have my car and they had sold out of cars and didn't have a car for me, that I had already paid for. I doubt I'll get my money back. Total scam and of time. Do not rent from this company. read more

Easirent - Dent - Car Rental Near Me - Austin, Texas

Worst car rental experience I've had with an airline partner. Hidden fees, slow service, and unhelpful staff made the whole process a headache. Avoid Easirent if you want a smooth, hassle-free rental. First it took forever for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport, then they wanted to charge $150 for a ez tag. There are only a couple staff working so everything takes forever. read more

This location is, in fact, NOT at the AUS airport. Don't let the name or their listings on 3rd parties fool you. I waited at the AUS airport at the shuttle pickup for over an hour and the shuttle never came, despite us (and the 3rd party booking agency) calling them three times. Incredibly rude over the phone. Would not recommend. read more

Worst ever. Avoid this company or be ready to pay more and deal with difficult people. Required to pay for their insurance despite showing that I had coverage through my auto insurance. Unhelpful staff that acted busy to avoid talking with me. Met a couple of renters that gave up and left for other rental car companies and had one family tell us about the challenges they were having turning the car in. Take pictures of all interior and exterior. read more

Now when working on a budget, this is an option. After arriving at the airport I expected my car rental to be on property. I was surprised that you have to walk across the parking deck, wait for a shuttle and sit on the concrete bench. Since I was traveling solo, white vans in Texas made me uncomfortable. The driver was pleasant. The office is about 10-15 minutes from the airport. There was only one person working and it was 2 people ahead of me. I finally received my vehicle. Be mindful, the shuttle only runs during their business hours so plan returning your vehicle accordingly. read more

Listen be very cautious of renting from this place. They charge the cheapest prices and then try and get you with predatory upcharge "packages." Much better off going through one of the more mainstream rentals attached to the airport. As for myself, I rented a car from them. Not knowing their reputation, I was optimistic at first. Fast forward waiting through the slowest shuttle in the world, slow service trying to upsell me at every turn, I finally get to see the car. A little bummed, because the car stunk and there sporadic crumbs throughout the vehicle. At this point, I had already invested two hours and I wasn't inclined to cause a fuss over this. Got in the car, started driving to my time sensitive event. 15 minutes in, heat gauge goes off in the engine. Another 10, another check temperature warning. Either a sensor was broken or this car was overheating -- either way, I wanted no part in driving it for five days. Brought it back to the dealer ship and they said "apologies, we'll get you a refund." Sounded to me! However, a week later, I call, guy on the phone says there's no refund initiated on this transaction! Crazy to me. Will never rent from anywhere affiliated with "Easirent" again. Save yourself, money, time and stress and avoid this place read more

If you enjoy chaos, frustration, and a complete lack of customer service, then congratulations--you've found your perfect rental company! We showed up expecting the SUV we had reserved for six days. Silly us for thinking "Easirent" meant things would be easy. Turns out, they had exactly one SUV available, featuring a cracked windshield--because who doesn't love a little extra risk on their road trip? After an hour and a half of waiting, they finally found another SUV for us, but only because someone randomly returned one. A solid business model if I've ever seen one! Then came the driver policy circus. Initially, we were told that only the person who reserved the car could drive it--unless, of course, we were willing to pay $14 per day to add another driver. That's right, their "system" magically couldn't process a simple driver switch, but it could absolutely accept additional charges! But after enough complaining and escalation, suddenly--like a miracle--they were able to do it for free! Funny how that works. And let's talk about their manager, who truly embodied the "we don't care" spirit of this company. When I asked to speak with him, the agent assured me he'd be "right with us." Fifteen minutes later, I asked again--only to find out the guy had been sitting right there the whole time, silently listening and doing nothing. A true leader in customer service! As for the car itself? Absolute perfection (sarcasm). Filthy interior, oil change light on, tires barely hanging on for dear life, and brakes squeaking like they were crying for help. Nothing like spending six days wondering if your rental will make it through the trip! And to end on a high note, we arrived at 7 AM as instructed to return the car, only to find... drumroll... NO ONE THERE. No employees, no shuttle, just an empty lot. We waited until 7:25 AM before finally getting a ride back to the airport. If our flight to SF hadn't been delayed, we would've missed it entirely. Easirent should really consider a name change--Difficultrent, NightmareRent, or Maybe-You'll-Get-a-Car-Rent would all be more accurate. If you value your time, money, and sanity, rent from literally anywhere else. read more

Easirent - Our key came like this, but it still worked! - Car Rental Near Me - Austin, Texas

Pretty much the worst possible service I can imagine. First of all, it's nowhere near the airport, even though the branch is called "Easirent Car Rental Austin-Bergstrom Airport." I had to take an Uber there after waiting 30+ minutes for a shuttle to arrive which never did. It's about a 15 minute drive from AUS. Finally I get to the facility. There is only one employee working there and she is moving as slowly as possible while being very rude. After the person in front of me finished (also frustrated, bad sign), I told the employee that I reserved a car and I was ready to pick up. The employee asked for my airline reservation code and for an ID. Why do they need my reservation code? This code gives complete access to my travel itinerary and a lot of personal information. Hertz never asked me for this. Finally after all this, the employee tells me that the car I reserved is no longer available. Not the least bit surprised based on my experience up to this point. Nevertheless, I asked if I could get a different car. The employee tells me that it's going to be an extra fee. Huh? You didn't have the car that I reserved and now *I* have to pay extra? Total scam. Never ever rent a car from here. read more

WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY....DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. Once again -- STILL no response. I will continue to post this every single day until someone at Easirent actually acknowledges the complete failure of service and customer care I experienced. I had a reservation from July 3-6 through Easirent at the Austin airport, booked WEEKS in advance. Upon arriving, I boarded the Easirent shuttle to the rental location, only to receive a call from "Andrew" while en route informing me that Easirent had no cars available. His exact words were: "It's first come, first serve," essentially saying my reservation meant nothing -- completely invalid and pointless despite being made weeks beforehand. To make matters worse, Andrew didn't even bother to offer an apology or any kind of solution -- nothing. Instead, he coldly stated I was the first of many customers he was calling that day to tell they didn't have cars for them either. He even went the extra mile to say "Bad customer service would be you arriving here and being told we didn't have a car for you". Again, a coward response for the WORST rental car company I have ever dealt with. They take no accountability for their actions. A scam of a business refusing to refund after MULTIPLE request have been attempted. The shuttle driver turned right back around and dumped us back at the airport. No apology, no alternative, no help. I was left stranded with no vehicle during a holiday weekend, forced to scramble and pay even more to book with Fox Rental Car at the last minute. I then did exactly as I was told and contacted Expedia for a refund. Expedia tried to contact Easirent and was told I had to contact Easirent directly. So I did -- and your representative today not only refused to resolve the issue but actually HUNG UP on me. It's now been OVER 7 days, and I'm still chasing down a refund for a car you never even delivered. The audacity of Andrew to tell me I was the first of many customers he was calling that day to tell they were out of cars -- without even pretending to care or help -- proves that you knowingly took reservations you couldn't fulfill. That's fraud. That's theft. And the utter disrespect your company has shown me since is appalling. I demand my money back immediately. Your company failed to deliver what was promised, and the fact that you're hiding from accountability while blaming everyone else is unacceptable. Easirent is hands down the worst car rental company I've ever dealt with, and I'll be sure everyone I know hears about it. Do better -- or I'll make sure this story keeps spreading. Let the emails to Expedia speak for themselves that PROVE Easirent is the one at fault here. REFUND ME NOW! read more

Bad Start to a Nightmare of an Experience We waited nearly an hour, with three other families to be picked up. Next they proceeded to take one customer and didn't process anymore customers for another hour. They kept running outside and tried to placate us by telling us to wait our turn in the exiting room. Finally, I ask "what's taking so long?" And the truth can't out...due to a hail storm a few weeks ago, they had very limited supply of cars. They were wasting our time, after many of us had just arrived from out of town after traveling for hours. Next, they attempted to rent us a car, only if we paid an upgrade. Limited supply of car, attempted upgrade cost tacked on, wasted time by spending 2-3 hours in the car rental place. Clearly poor management, they finally got us into card without an upgrade fee. I'd give this experience a negative 2 stars. read more

What could improve is having rental cars when someone has made a reservation. Being a rental car business with no cars is a bad business plan. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE - SCAM ALERT! If I could give zero stars, I would. This car rental company is an absolute NIGHTMARE from start to finish. First of all, the shuttle only comes once an hour (yes, ONCE), and it's over 30 minutes away from the airport, so unless you magically time it perfectly, be prepared to sit and wait...and wait...and possibly miss your flight. Once you finally arrive, you're greeted with some of the poorest service imaginable. The staff are either overwhelmed, disinterested, or flat-out rude. The place is completely understaffed, chaotic, and honestly just feels GHETTO and shady. You can immediately tell customer service is the last priority here. And now the biggest scam of all: they will try to charge you for damage YOU DIDN'T DO, even if you have video and photo proof showing the scratches or dents were there before you drove off. It's a blatant cash grab. They clearly prey on tired travelers who are in a rush and might not fight the charges. It's disgusting. Save yourself the stress, the risk, and your money. This place is a total rip-off, a joke of a business, and should honestly be shut down. Go literally anywhere else. You've been warned! read more

I give Expedia negative stars since they "outsourced" us to Easirent and didn't tell us. Not going to lie. It was hard to find the shuttle no thanks to Austin airport and the area they shuttle you to is sketchy, but Stacy and Jorel ?were amazing at dealing with lots of other clients who were surprised as well. Easirent - They should add the $500 hold as #5 - Car Rental Near Me - Austin, Texas

(Hate how you have to leave even 1 star). First of all we had to wait in some random far away place at the airport that was so far away from all of the other car rental trams that we got lost & we had to ask around to find. Then when we got there the guy that was waiting for the Easirent tram/shuttle before us said he had already been there for 45mins and had called multiple times and been hung up on each time. We waited an additional 45 minutes before someone came. One other gal came whom also stated she had been calling without having someone answer for a pickup. Then a couple with a baby. When the driver pulled up he was playing extremely loud, inappropriate rap music and said that he only turned it down (not nearly enough) because of the baby. He proceeded to try to talk to the gal and couple without keeping his eyes on the road. Next thing we knew we were on the highway passing our destination and ended up in a not so great area of town and he had us get out to where we literally almost got hit by someone working there pulling a rental around. It was such a rinky-dink place with 2 people working the desk and I think only 2 people driving the rentals back & forth. Which had me thinking how was anyone getting a clean car? The people behind the desk didn't even look up and one of the 20+ people in the standing room only people (plus people spilling outside), ended up telling us to sign in at the desk. He said he signed in yesterday! By the looks on everyone's faces, it looked like it! Basically, THE CUSTOMERS HAD BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS HERE!!! We were there for over an hour and 2 people were helped. People were being given cars that were just returned in front us, missing flights, and no apologies. No refunds. I get we all decided to get a deal (most of us through Expedia) but come on! In the end, some of us just took the loss and called Uber and tried to figure out a different rental car situation. Ultimately we had no faith that we could return the car and get to the airport on time to not miss our flight and all of connecting flights on our way home just because of Easirent.com DO NOT DO IT! I mean look at the ratings and learn from my mistake! Never never never a cheap place again. Shuttle took 25 mins to pick up and another 20 mins to take us to the location. People are rude. Run as fast as you can away from this place! Never even consider using this rental car place. Easirent is the farthest thing from the truth. Upon landing in Austin, the shuttle that is supposed to circle the airport every 20-30 minutes shows up one and a half hours later. It took us longer to get the car than it did to fly 1/2 way across the country. No apologies and the most unprofessional, sketchy place I have ever witnessed. Then upon returning our car Sunday, there is one worker in the building with no one there to shuttle us back to the airport. So we had to Uber. Complete disaster of a business on every single aspect! read more

I prepaid $224.21 on Booking.com for a 3-day compact car. When my partner arrived to pick it up, Easirent claimed they had no compact cars available and said the only option was to "upgrade" for more money. Instead of honoring the booking or offering a free upgrade (as policy requires), they charged an additional $287.50 - doubling the total cost to over $500 for three days in a Dodge Challenger. This is not an "upgrade," it's a bait-and-switch. If your system takes prepaid bookings, you can't just tell customers to pay again because you ran out of cars. That's your inventory problem - not the customer's. To make things worse, the location is offsite from the Austin airport, so my partner had to spend $18 on an Uber to get there because their shuttles are infrequent. He's polite and non-confrontational, so he trusted the employee who said they were "helping with an employee discount." Instead, Easirent pocketed an extra $300. I've filed a dispute with Easirent through a message, since they wouldn't help over the phone or through chat, and I'll be reporting this under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and to the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Avoid Easirent entirely - reviews like mine are not isolated. Read others before you waste time and money on this shady operation. If they don't have the car you paid for, they should give you an equivalent or better car free of charge, not scam you at pickup. read more

I arrived at 1:30 PM for my noon reservation. He said I was free to "sign in and wait," did they had no cars, and we're expecting one at 5:30 PM. He said there was nothing he could do about it. this happened to person after person while I was there. I signed up and took an Uber to my hotel and then back again when he called me to let me know the car was ready. I asked them to cover the cost of the Ubers and he said he would allow me to bring it back with the gas empty. However, the gas was already empty! He'd just called me to let me know it was ready. I then waited longer for his boss to get back so that he could go fill the car up. By the time I got the car, it was about 5 PM. On the day of my return I got a "courtesy call" saying that the car was due at noon. They hadn't gotten it to me until 5 PM. He told me there would be a charge for it being late and that he'd given me the gas for my inconvenience. No, he'd given me the gas to compensate for the three Uber rides I had to take. My everyday vehicle had been detained longer than expected at a body shop & I had a trip planned, so I needed a back up. In the vein of not spending too much to keep my funds for my current body work, Easirent seemed like the best deal. I did everything online through a third party website, as well as a "pre check in" in order to skip any possible lines once I arrived. The listing is a little deceptive as it states this is affiliated with the Austin airport, I was under the impression that that's in fact where I needed to go to pick up the vehicle. After finding out that they do not have a location at the airport, I traveled around 15 minutes to get to the actual establishment, which is on Congress. I will say that everyone I encountered on the Easirent team treated me with the utmost kindness & professionalism. The reason for my three stars are as follows. I did not get to "skip" any kind of line even though I did the pre check in at home the night before. I still had to sign in & wait to go through the process. The rep was super informative on the contract which included mileage allowance. Then he proceeds to tell me that there will be a $500 hold on my card in order to rent this vehicle, which is absolute CRAZY WORK. I can understand if I was renting a luxury vehicle sure; I was put in an Elantra with a big dent in the side. The return process was easy enough, they inspect the vehicle the same way they do for pickup. They also assure you that your hold is released but may take 3-5 business days to show up. I was definitely in a pinch with funds, thought I was going to save some money but that was not the case. I would not recommend this establishment & my advice would be to stick with bigger names in the game. read more

AVOID this place at all costs, it's not worth any money saved. Whoever is running this place is an absolute piece of trash and I feel really bad for the single employee that has to run the entire operation by themselves (More on that later)... Firstly, the shuttle service for this place is near none existent. The expected wait time (20 - 30min) should be 50min - 1:15H. Take an Uber to the location and don't waste your time... Then when you arrive, you will find that it's basically one person that has to do everything... They check you in, then go get the car and then wash the car/clean it themselves... This whole process can take 45min on top of the possible hour you already waited for the shuttle, and that's if you don't have anyone in front of you waiting... On top of all that somehow the car you have reserved isn't available and the only options are now something less than what you reserved or more. This could be fine except they will make you pay the difference if it's a higher option... BE WARNED YOU COULD BE CHARGED MORE!!!.... This operation that is being ran is quite honestly the worst I have ever experienced and it's absolutely the owner who's running this place with the bare minimum to make sure they get their money, and it will be at your cost.... This place should be shut down, it's that awful and I feel bad for the employees that have to be put in a toxic over worked environment. read more

THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE IN 35 YEARS OF BUSINESS AND PLEASURE TRAVEL! The office is approximately 7-10 miles from the airport. There is ZERO signage at the airport regarding where to pick up the shuttle. The office is grossly understaffed and EXTREMELY busy so it took more than 90 minutes to get the vehicle. The vehicle reserved was not available. The staff member identified body damage on the passenger side and said I needed to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. I DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE WITH THE STAFF MEMBER AND THAT WAS A MISTAKE! I noticed that the car held only a quarter tank of gas so I took a picture of the dashboard fuel gauge and returned to the office to correct the record. The "windshield wiper fluid is low" warning message along with "check engine" light came on within 2 blocks of the office. I did not return to the chaotic scene at the office and hoped for the best. We immediately went to eat at a restaurant nearby and upon exiting the vehicle, noticed body damage on the driver's side as well. I FAILED TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE. We traveled locally for three days and had no issues with the vehicle. I returned the car early Sunday morning and was required to complete an incident report for the driver's side damage that was on the car at pickup and I WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR. If you ignore the Yelp reviews, expect long delays, rude staff, unsafe vehicles and shady business practices. AVOID THIS BUSINESS! read more

However, when I got there, I was told they didn't have a car for me, and didn't know when one would be coming back. There were four guys, and none of them apologized for not having a car available. That's not how this works! And THEN I had to catch a shuttle ride BACK to the airport to rent from a company that knows how to do a car rental. Easirent is NOT truthful in their advertising of their location. They are NOT at the Austin Bergstrom Airport, but rather on the west side of I-35 - a good 20 minutes away; at least. I fully understand that sometimes people have to take a shuttle to the rental car location(s), located at large airports. However, this is NOT the case as they are way, way, way offsite and in a very sketchy location with a dirty office. That said, the employees were EXTREMELY diligent, courteous, and professional. The car and their personality truly made up for the car company's lying about their location. The employees were pleasantly joyful and user-friendly!!
