I brought in a brand new pair of shoes that I needed stretched. They were rather expensive handmade leather loafers that I had searched for, for months. I never saw them again. I came back repeatedly but was told they could not find them, and did not have that tag. I remained as calm and openminded as I could throughout all of it, but in the end, it was traumatic to be told (with emotion) that some other member of my family must have come to pick them up (Nope. Impossible.), or that I never brought them there. Sadly, I have no recourse. My advice to everyone, which I will now always follow myself, is to DOUBLE CHECK your ticket every time, and to TAKE A PICTURE OF TICKET AND SHOES before leaving your shoes with anyone. Who knows what really happened. They went home with someone else? They got sold on the internet? I try not to think about it too much, as it is pointless.
