They rescheduled me twice, once I finally got my dog in for a cut, he came home patchy and still had mats behind his ears.. didn't even seem like his ears were brushed. Then tried charging me $50 more than the "starting" amount for a dog his size. Groomer told me he did great so not sure what the extra $50 was for, considering this place is already one of the highest price points in the area. read more

Petapoluza is awesome. I've had my dog (30 pound mini goldendoodle) groomed here multiple times and she always comes home happy and with a great cut. The groomers are very friendly and clearly love dogs. My pup had a bad experience at a different groomer, but is always happy to go into Petapoluza. Their treat and food options are fantastic as well. Highly recommend bringing your pup here! read more

I love the diversification of brands and items. My dogs loved some of the treats in the store, and we went looking for a specific harness brand that we haven't seen in bigger name store and it was there! The customer service was awesome in helping us fit the harness on our pup, even we he still has some play biting in him (sorry about that). Definitely want to go back! read more

They did an amazing job trimming my dog's nails, cleaning his ears, and expressing his glands. We were in and out in 10 minutes. My dog can be nervous around new people, but they did a great job earning his trust. They were so kind and gentle with him. I wish I caught the name of the person who took care of him, but she was so wonderful - I could hear her giving him positive reinforcement and praise while I waited, which meant the world to me read more

I took my boxer mix in for his first nail trimming since I adopted him. I was a little bit hesitant to bring him anywhere because he is leash reactive and has anxiety so the idea of him going anywhere made me nervous. Andrea was great and assured me he would be fine. I got a text five minutes later that he was all done and my first thought was that they weren't able to do it. When I went back inside they said they cut all of his nails and he was a good boy! I was shocked! These people know what they're doing and have great customer service! I definitely recommend! read more

Heather and the gals are great !! Rocky loves it here and he dreams of this place at night ! Great selection and lots of goid advice. read more

Love this store. I buy supplies here and I also take my dog here for bathing and nail trims. As the owner of a dog training company, I'm pretty picky about where I take him for grooming. This place always does a great job and he always leaves with a wagging tail! Make sure you support this business! read more

I strode in here yesterday, not really in search of anything. It's a newer shop, very clean and organized... I like it already. The owner was friendly when he saw me walk in and greeted me with a "Hey there!" I found the selection to be a mix of useful and over the top, ranging from leashes, toys, food, bowls, and the usual supplies. For those of you who do the doggy grooming, I saw DIY doggy wash rooms in the back. For $15 you and rub a dub your pup... and from what I'm told, this pricing is a bit more reasonable than most places. I made a random purchase of a small squeaky toy in the shape of a Corona bottle for a certain chihuahua I know. The service at the register felt a bit rushed. The gal quickly rang me up without really saying much. I tried to strike up some convo with a few of the other folks working here, but it was a no go. It seems like they've got a good thing going here; lots of good quality pet food and high end toys right on par (pricing-wise) with everyone else. I just know that if I want stellar customer service, I'd probably go to Mud Bay instead. Definitely check it out for yourself though! They have the cute little doggie rain boots here that I would have bought had they come in said chihuahua's size. read more

This shop is a great asset in Fremont. Not only does it have that adorable boutique-y feel, their selection across the board is really really stellar. They have a great mix of toys, treats, leashes, grooming supplies and on top of it they carry the better quality brands of dry and wet food. They also have two self-wash tubs installed which I've always thought was really neat. The owners seem like good people and make for a pleasant shopping experience. It's definitely a one-stop shop! read more

The man on staff, who I assume was the owner, was very knowledgeable about the foods they carried and gave some great tips about feeding schedules and portions. I left with less expensive food that should be much better for my cat. read more

Great place to find the best quality food for your pet. I love my dogs more than most people love their kids and this is my one stop shop to take care of all their needs. Very informative staff, and they can pretty much help you out with whatever you need. read more

another great trip for my little dog Raggs and myself to Petapoluza this fine day in freemont....He got a beautiful new freezer with more fine raw products for you doggie if he loves a raw diet like my dog, As always the store was REALLY a comfortable place to wonder around in....if your into yummy, healthy kibble and lots and lots of pet stuff it is worth checking out!! I took a picture while there today so I posted it in my collection. The place is great!!! read more

This place has everything you could ever need for your pet. I looked all over town for Molly Mutt pet duvets and Petapoluza is the only place that had them! They also had a little fuzzy poop emoji toy that I couldn't pass up. I have been searching for a pet barrier for my drooly dog for over a month and couldn't find the right material or size. Well, guess where I found one? Yep, Petapoluza! The staff is super nice, helpful, and knowledgable. Loooove this place! read more

I have had nothing but good grooming experiences at Petapolouza. My pup loved DJ here and we were so sad when he left because it was so hard to find a good groomer. Luckily, after some time they hired Kira (who does baths & trims) and Riley (who does full-on grooming). They have both done a wonderful job with my cockapoo, he always looks great and is happy when I pick him up. I love that this is a not a grooming "factory" where they have tons of groomers working at once and dogs have to wait their turn in kennels for a long time as that stresses my dog out. Riley always listens to how we want him cut and we're always happy when we pick him up! Shoutout to the owners for always hiring awesome groomers! read more

LOVE THIS STORE! We had a hard time when we first got our dog finding the right food that would not upset his stomach. We had tried Mud Bay, and some other stores and found them to be a little bit unfriendly. The owner of Petapoluza was very patient and very knowledgeable with the different kinds of food we tried. He gladly took back any food that did not work for our dog, and would let us know about re-calls on any pet related products. Friendly, honest and direct. We now shop here for all our dog cat needs, and always stop in to say hello (and to pick up free treats)! Extremely satisfied customer! read more

Best pet store in Seattle! The staff really make it work! They are extremely knowledgeable about what they sell and you can really trust their opinion and advice - which is especially important with ingredients in unlabeled foods. read more

This place is great for pet food in Fremont. I normally shop at Mud Bay, but this is in my neighborhood and I'm pretty sure I'll be switching. It's actually ran by someone who KNOWS about pet food. And they actually care about your pets (and remembered that I have 3 cats!). When he recommended a new food for my picky-princess of a persian he made sure to tell me that if she won't eat it I can bring it back without any hassles. He even offered to order in a certain food that I normally get that they just don't carry. And it arrived SO fast. The slight cash discount is nice too. read more

This is a great pet store and as a small business owner, I love to support the "little guys". Their selection is awesome and they will order things you've seen or read about that they don't normally carry. The owner(s) are opinionated and that might be off-putting to some, but I appreciate someone so passionate about caring for pets. I like to shop in a store where they owner knows me and my dogs!! read more

Such a great little hole in the wall. Prices seem higher than the big chain stores but the products featured seem more geared to satisfying your pet's health more than your pet's appetite. Friendly staff as well. I primarily come here to have the groomer trim my dog's nails. The process takes longer than if I'd have taken her to a vet but not only do they trim, they sand the edges so there are no burs or rough edges. Great for my furniture! The nail trim is also cheaper than anywhere else I've been. read more

Great selection of pet foods for cats and dogs, including natural/organic products. They even have doggie desserts! Check them out when you're in Fremont. Oh, and they also custom print shirts......hmmm, maybe you and your dog need matching shirts?? read more

I went in looking for advice on a new food for my pup, and the saleswoman knew a ton about the different foods -- including which Nutro products had been affected by the pet food recall. I walked out with what I had been planning to buy, but felt better about it. It is also my new favorite place for DIY dog wash -- $15 and less isolated than the industrial basement of that place in Ballard, whose name I'm forgetting. That said, I have looked for various things here and not found them (water bottle for the crate, blinky leash light, reflective coat, specific toys). And I prefer the bulk treat bar at Mud Bay. read more

This is my favorite pet store in the city. Nick and Amanda put a lot of thought into all the products they carry and are always happy to take requests from customers on new products. Their prices are competetive with any of the big stores in town. But when my dog and I go to Petapoluza, Nick and Amanda recognize us and they always have great advice for their customers and their pets. And, since they're open until 9pm it is so convenient to go after work without having to rush home. read more

Wonderful place! They have a great variety of animal toys, food and necessities. They have a very large dog toy area but a smaller cat toy area. Even though it was smaller, I still found a few cat supplies as well as a scratch post for my cat at home. All of the cat toys/supplies that they did have all came with some cat nip which I thought was neat. You can never have enough catnip!! The sales lady was so nice and bubbly. She likes to start conversations and really engage her customers. She was very helpful in showing us around the store and pointing us in the right direction. Even when she did not have an item I was looking for, she offered to take my number and give me a call when she got the item into the store. Great place to go for your pet!! read more

Seriously the best service I have ever received at any pet store, ever. I called this afternoon asking about their hours and their selection of foods for cats with allergies. When I came, the woman working there instantly was like, "Ah! You're the man who called looking for cat food for an allergic kitty." And I'm thinking, "Wow, that must be the person I talked to on the phone!" Amazingly, she actually wasn't -- but the person I talked to was thoughtful enough to pass along to the next employee I'd be coming. (!) And she recommended two awesome cat toys that my foster cat is totally in love with. read more

This place is where yuppies go to get birthday cards for their cats and dogs. You are first grabbed by the vast selection of bedtime stories you can read to your puppy, but from there it gets worse. I am sure you can find designer collars and high grade kitty narcotics somewhere in here. How can you call this a pet store without wall after wall of exotic fish tanks all spreading the same sickness to each other. The damp humid air of tropical aquatics. Lets not forget the stained carpet from dogs scared by the small shop and strange smells and sounds. If you have a dog or maybe cat plus you like burning cash Petaplouza is perfect for you. There are other pets besides cats and dogs people.... But I will say the person there was super friendly and tried to find me a closer store to that sells aquairum gear. So that alone bumps it up a couple notches. read more

We live nearby and have been coming here for over two years. All the employees are friendly and eager to help. They have great food options for our dog with sensitivities. For the size of the store, they have an excellent selection of most anything your pet could need. They just started grooming, and the groomer Jill is awesome. So thankful to have a good groomer within walking distance! read more

We came to Petapoluza because we needed to have our rescue dog groomed. I had read a lot of Yelp reviews and this place looked like it would be a good fit. We had DJ and he was wonderful with our dog Sam. He was kind and listened to our concerns. The grooming was quoted at 2.5 hours. 1 hour in DJ text me to let me know how Sam was doing and I really appreciated that being a new dog mom. We have friends that own their own dog sitting and training business, Cosmic Home and Pet and we will mention to them how wonderful Petapoluza is to them so they can pass the good word onto their clients. Thanks to DJ and all the kind staff at Petapoluza. read more

Kyra is absolutely amazing! My dog gets scared when he knows it's bath time but she is such a warm presence and will even adjust settings on the nail dremel to make sure he isn't scared. He always comes back smelling super clean - not the typical smells like some cheap shampoo clean and his fur is so shiny and soft. They are always on time and keep you updated on when your dog is ready for pickup. Highly recommend this place! read more

Jesse did an amazing job grooming my Maltese/poodle mix. She was quick, attentive to detail, gentle and my dog's cut is terrific. Would definitely recommend her for grooming. Thank you Jesse. read more

This is a great neighborhood pet supply stores with many higher end brands available for both cats and dogs. The prices are very comparable to the chains and the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. The moment he learned of our new rescued cat, he threw in a bunch of cat treats. They really do it for the love of animals. They also have s good list of grooming services, and if the shopping experience reflects it, my guess is that our pet friends will be very happy with these services. Highly recommended. read more

We've taken our senior dog to see Kyra a couple of times for a bath, dematting and nail clip and she does a wonderful job!! (And our boy is not always the nicest pup). The prices are so reasonable and everyone there is so professional, kind, and knowledgeable. We will be back!! :) read more

I have been coming here to buy products and get nail trimmings for my pup Leo since last October, when I adopted him. The friendly staff here always helps me find what I need - most recently providing several samples of dehydrated dog food so I could make the best decision for my boy. The selection of holistic products is also exceptional. Love the vibe and friendliness of this neighborhood gem too! read more

We brought our very dirty German Shepherd foster dogs here and they were very acommodating. The self grooming station is fabulous, perfectly set up. Best pet store in Fremont! They sell raw food and treats, including Natural Pet Pantry. There's a treat bar that you can bag for yourself and all of them are grain-free. During happy hour which is Tuesday-Thursday from 2-4PM, you can get your pup's nails clipped for only six bucks. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about products and treatments for your furry baby. Great place! read more

Petapoluza is amazing. My pets have special needs due to age and health, and the folks here always have something helpful say with zero pressure to buy anything. The selection of quality products is great, and they have a good cat section to boot. You can't go wrong here. Definitely a couple of notches better shopping experience than you'll get at a local Mudbay type shop. read more

Cute pet supply store with good brands. It's kind of hard to find stores that carry Orijen and Acana so Petapoluza gets extra points for this. Lots of different treats and toys for dogs. I'm sure that Phinney would freak out if I brought her here. I do wonder why they spend valuable shelf space on $55 pet backpacks. That's more than my Timbuk2 human backpack cost. I don't know of many people who would spend that sort of money on a canine tote. Cheaper options would be appreciated. read more

Petapoluza is like a candy shop for my two greyhounds. We started coming here once a month for an adoption event that our local greyhound group holds at this store, and now that we live just up the hill, my one greyhound leads us to Petapoluza at least once a day. The employees are all very friendly and kind, and they love on my dogs when we visit, which is why I suspect my one dog is always begging to go walk to the store. The store carries the kibble that we love, always has a fun selection of toys and seasonal items, and it even has a pet-washing station. There are tons of grain-free treat options, and I don't have to worry about checking labels to make sure that the treats aren't made in China because this store carries high quality products and many local products. If they are out of something, they will be happy to order it for you, at least as far as I can tell from my experience in buying dog booties and harnesses. While we were said to see the previous owner, Nick, go, the new owner, Heather, is extremely friendly and welcoming. Her love for animals extends beyond the store, as she also helps stray animals find homes and she used to work at a vet in Crown Hill. Small-dog owners should check out the Wednesday night Yappy Hour. Our guys are definitely too large to participate, but it sounds like a safe environment for socializing pooches with Napoleon complexes. read more

I have been here before to have my Dog's nails trimmed, and knew they were great however their service has gotten that much more awesome with the online - a la carte booking for nail trims and I can even take care of paying online so I don't have to juggle my dogs and my wallet at the store. DJ trimmed both of my dogs' nails and did a great job (they were long overdue). Also my female bully is not too fond of her pedicures and is not an easy client. He has a very calming demeanor and does great with the dogs (they still loved him after all that). THANK YOU read more

Ryan went beyond the call to help me with trouble shooting some issues with my cat. I am grateful that I have several pet stores to choose from near where I live.
