The facility is amazing and the staff were good(satisfactory). Our server disappeared for great lengths of time, didnt know what type of fish in fish tacos. Etc..not complaining just explain-in! We had the cauliflower appetizer. We didnt dig deeper into a description, my fault. it was heavily breaded and the actual cauliflower was pretty mushy? My wife had the fish tacos and I had the smash-burger n fries. The food was good and the drinks were below average. No chardonnay at all and the old fashion was below average. We went their with friends on 8/30 to see Whole lotta ROSES, a band we really like. My wife ordered chicken wings and fried cauliflower. The wings were average, not the worst I've tasted, not the best. The fried cauliflower was nice and crispy but definitely needed salt. I had the Mac and Cheese with Buffalo chicken bites. The Mac and Cheese was creamy, tender, and delicious. The Buffalo chicken bites were tasty, crispy, and tender. I am fairly certain they weren't homemade. I also ordered the meatball appetizer to share. The meatballs were tender and very tasty but lacked seasoning. The sauce was tasty. The service was very good, considering how busy it was. The stage was plenty big enough for the band. Plenty of room on the dance floor. It is a little $$$ but it's in Fairfax. Earps Ordinary has no parking. We did a find a parking garage nearby, happily it was free after 6:00 pm. The food was very good, my critiques are noted above. read more

What a great find this pop-up restaurant was! Their permanent location is being built and will open sometime in May. The staff is very friendly and personable and the food was impeccable! The portions are enormous so go there hungry! It gets very busy and a small place at the moment so make reservations that day if you want to dine there at a specific time. We got there at about 2:45pm on a Saturday and had a reservation. Although it was very busy, we were told we could just find whichever table we would like to sit at. Will most definitely go back for some amazing upscale comfort food!! read more

There are only two good things about this place: 1) The karaoke is lively and located in a non-judgmental environment where people cheer each other on. 2) I didn't catch his name but the tall bartender with the beard and long blond hair was super helpful. Other than that, the rest of the workers were rude, avoidant, disorganized, and unprofessional. If it weren't for karaoke, then the place would also feel like an old folk's home. It definitely is not a charming place. No wonder it's called Earp's ORDINARY. read more

We visited recently to hear The Screaming Monkeys. The band was awesome, food was delicious, the venue is beautiful. We will be back.

We visited the pop up location at the old Zandra's Taqueria, which is serving as their temporary location until their permanent spot on Main Street is completed (about 1 block over). We visited on a Friday night and it was busy. They feature live music Wed-Sat evenings 7:30-10:00 pm from an eclectic array of performers. Although it was busy, we had no problem getting a table for 2 because we made same day reservations through OpenTable. We had the soft pretzels and Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. I had the fish tacos for my entree. The food was delicious. They source their ingredients locally and have a rotating menu. Definitely liked this place and will go back. read more

Had drinks and dinner at the awesome pop up on a Wednesday evening. Live music. Packed house. Super friendly staff. Enjoyed more than a few manhattans and whiskey smashes over amazinggggg Brussels sprouts (roasted and sweetened with pomegranate and orange), shrimp, and pretzels. Finished up with tacos (all 3 kind) and falafel burger. Everything came with fries and all the entree portions were extremely generous... and delicious. Wow! We really enjoyed our dinner and cocktails! Started out with the Bear Hug and the bang bang shrimp. Both were simply awesome. Then I moved on to smash burger and fries. Again the burger was very tasty and came out in way under 15 minutes. The fries were hot and crispy (just the way I like them). The service was friendly and attentive. We tried this out due to high ratings on Open Table and boy we were so happy we did! The food was amazing (I wish we would have taken pictures), the staff was super friendly, and the vibe was very cool. We came for dinner on a Friday at about 6pm and they were prepping for live music, but in the meantime had 80's music videos playing on the TV's around with great sound acoustics. The restaurant/bar itself was pretty small but they are operating as a pop up until their new permanent space is open on Main Street in the fall prospectively. The food was delicious and we believe most everything was made in house, they told us the menu changes a lot to keep in season. The chef even came out to meet us to ask us how we liked our dishes which was awesome. My favorite dish was the fried green tomato salad with watermelon/mint relish and a feta cheese spread and balsamic glaze. It was huge and delicious and tasted like nothing I have ever had before... salty, sweet, creamy, citrusy, savory, fresh and yummy. We also had the bulgogi tots, Nashville chicken sandwich, and peach cobbler - all very good. The cocktails were even different and creative - we White Russians with salted caramel cream, and a fresh peach Bellini. The live acoustic music was great too, there was a female vocalist playing keyboard with her own twist on familiars like Fleetwood Mac. We will definitely be back, and hopefully I will take pictures this time! read more

Earp's is a high quality pop-up with a permanent location on the way! I tried the Szechuan chicken dumpling and bulgogi tot appetizers, both of which were incredible. For my entree, I elected to go with the Szechuan chicken and rice bowl. This was also cooked incredibly well, if lacking in heat and the distinct spices found in the Szechuan appetizer. This lack of spice was also apparent in one of my friends Nashville hot chicken. With this in mind, I can't help but acknowledge this as a deliberate choice by the kitchen to cater towards a broader audience. In my opinion this is understandable, but be warned: here there be little heat! The staff is personable and attentive, and the fare is worth the trip. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go in the future! read more

Beautiful live music venue! The food is delicious. We had Fried Cauliflower and Smash Burgers, and both were excellent. I thought it was petty to charge for 50c extra for mayo for my $16 burger? If they really want to make money, I have a keen observation to make. I noticed every single table, every single guest, was delivered water without even being asked. I also noticed that there were many bartenders to make drinks, but the free water was getting priority attention. My advice is, PLEASE have the waiters turn their attention to getting food and drink orders and only provide water if asked, AND only provide when you have nothing better to do. As in placing my food order and delivering my drinks. Dont make their job harder. It is also expensive and time-consuming to wash all those glasses. Look, I'm not trying to be rude, but giving me water doesn't make up for bad food and beverage service. Noticed a lot of tables with full water glasses, no food, and empty drink glasses. Concentrate on what makes the money. You're not fine dining, so don't try to be. Get the food and drinks out faster and eliminate water service. Besides, there's a drought going on. read more

We highly recommend the hush puppy quesadilla, hero sandwich (today's special) and the smash burger. You can tell they take pride in using the best ingredients as the food is fresh and flavorful. After a bit of a struggle to find the place, everything was good. Turns out it faces an interior plaza in the building is not visible from the street. Entry is from a (free) parking garage at 3950 University Drive, level 4. Management and staff were friendly and eager to please. Food selection was typical comfort food.
