Have eaten in and done takeout. The service is friendly and sincere. It's not your usual fast food…read more, as all items on the menu require the personal touch ( a bit of time). The torta (steak) was outstanding, Excellent flavors . My wife loves burritos, but for 2 dollars more the burritos bowl was the way to go. Every thing a great burrito has, in a bowl. And frankly more of everything without the tortilla. For those so inclined, a Dispensary is in the same plaza. No alcohol, may be able to BYOB, call ahead.

Steak burrito: this was my favorite. It was filled with steak, rice, beans and pico. This was shared with another person. Guacamole with chips: this was good, as well. I ended up adding more lime that came with the tacos. Steak taco: it was good, but dry. I added guacamole to it. Shrimp taco: the shrimp was nice and juicy and there was a spicy sauce on it. Flan: I really liked this flan compared to some other local places. It was very smooth and creamy. Churros: basic churros, but it didn't come with anything. It didn't say it came with a dipping sauce, but I expected some - but that's my bad. I personally did not pick up the order, so cannot comment on the space, but I am familiar with the location. It's in a small strip mall.

I am all in on Lima 32 Peruvian restaurant. Back in January, I noticed the Lima 32 sign in the old…read moreTacos mi Nachos space in Meriden. Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

This delicious dish is called Polla Saltado a lo pobre. I substituted the french fries for another scoop or rice.

Just finished a full Philly cheesesteak and it definitely hit the spot. I went with onions,…read morepeppers, cherry peppers, and light mayo--the flavors were spot on. The Highlights: * Proportions: Excellent meat-to-topping ratio. They don't skimp on the steak, which is always the biggest test. * Flavor: The cherry peppers added a great kick that cut through the richness of the meat and mayo perfectly. * Quality: A really solid, hearty sandwich that feels worth the order. One Small Note: The full sub comes as one continuous sandwich. If you're looking to split it or just prefer smaller halves, you'll want to grab a knife or ask them to slice it for you, as mine came uncut. Overall, a great lunch spot if you're craving an authentic-feeling Philly. I'll definitely be back!

Krave Cheesesteaks has had a lot of good buzz from the CT Foodie, Blogger and Instagram Community…read more I was recently able to visit for lunch. I live in the Hartford area, Krave certainly has one of the better cheesesteaks within a reasonable driving distance. The seating area has two person tables. They were both full most of the time I was there. Luckily, one was opening up as my cheesesteak was done and I was able to eat there. They could fit one more 2 person table there, and that seems like a good idea from what I saw. Service was friendly. I ordered a cheesesteak, which automatically comes with onions, Cherry peppers, whiz and American Cheese. I added sweet peppers, mushrooms, Mamba Sauce (described as a sweet hot sauce) and mayo. The steak was obviously fresh. It was maybe cut a bit thicker and coarser than many places. My preference would be a touch thinner. I also could have used a bit more seasoning on the steak itself. I was looking forward to the cherry pepper flavor, but it didn't stand out. I wonder if they misunderstood and substituted the sweet peppers for the cherry peppers instead of including both. The bread was about average for a cheesesteak. I think there's an opportunity to level up there. The other toppings were generally good. I've heard good things about the "salmon steak" and the "shrimp steak". I'll possibly be back to try the shrimp steak at some point. 4.25 Stars
