Mercy Movers was a complete disappointment for this single Mom…read more I had only heard good things about this moving company so I hired them just one week after I watched them move a very close friend of mine. It's almost as if they outsourced to a different company? My experience was 180° opposite of my friend that moved the week before. There was no Mercy Mover truck, it was a generic, plain white truck with a sticker on the passenger door, 4 men, one of whom had excellent work ethic. They wrapped a Staples desk chair that could survive being thrown out of a moving airplane- so unnecessary for a move 8 miles away. The youngest two were on their phones, clowning around, sitting around and vaping - it was a disaster. I was completely taken advantage of - and I bought them lunch. I probably paid for them to eat the lunch that I bought them because I certainly didn't see it deducted in my invoice. I had a three hour minimum & I have never seen people move so slow during the three hours, burning time. It took 5 1/2 hours for 4 men to load a medium size truck. Someone from the main company must have called the leader of this crew because it took them just more than an hour and 15 minutes to unload that entire truck. The decision to trust Mercy Movers cost me $1450 and 7 hours of my life I will never get back. I called to alert mgmt with no resolution. I hired another moving company to finish the job and they were lightning-fast, super professional, and I should've hired them to begin with. Ortegas Moving Co is who to call for consistent, good quality people with exceptional work ethic.
