I needed help with a leaky AC in my attic last August. It was coming through the bathroom…read moreceiling/exhaust fan. Oasis came out and charged $125 to look at it, take pics of it, and clear the drain pipe. I was told that was it, it was clogged and couldn't drain, that's it. Fast forward a year and a week later, come to find out, the leak was not resolved. Ceiling is leaking again! I called Oasis back. Now these people don't even serve the Sparks area and would not come back up to resolve the issue. Wow, convenient. I called a different reputable company, who comes to tell me that there is NO drain pan present at all. It had been leaking condensation all over the subfloor, everywhere. I find it embarrassing for Oasis that their technician didn't realize a drain pan was missing. Ridiculous!

Last summer (2021) my 22 year old AC unit, (Bryant I think), failed. I don't remember how I found…read moreor came to call Oasis, but I did... The response time to my call was quick. Also the Service Date & Time was quick, within a day or so, IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER! Ryan arrived, I was really afraid of the expense I would be looking at, thinking that I might need a new AC Unit at what, a cost of 2 - 3,000.00 dollars??? The only income I have is Social Security. Ryan determined that the "Run Capacitor" had failed. He had a replacement unit on his service truck. He replaced the failed unit, buttoned up the AC Unit, fired it up and then with a sophisticated temperature sensing device went completely through my home from register-to-register to check the refrigerated air delivery temperature at each register. All good. Ryan did all this in under an hour. I was charged for the Run Capacitor part and one hour of labor, as I recall it was under $300.00. Boy was I relieved. Then afterward, in the Winter, as luck would have it with a 22 year old Furnace, mine failed during that super cold, cold snap last Winter (2021 - 2022). I called Ryan. It was really cold. He came and determined the problem, a "stuck" little squirrel cage type fan... The bearings had seized. He freed the bearings up and put me back in business. The diagnosis and remediation of the situation took Ryan less than an hour. The dog gone guy refused to charge me! Officially that is. So I tried to TIP him a $100.00 bill. He refused it! I urged him to accept, he refused. The Furnace worked through the remainder of the 2021 - 2022 Winter and I even used a few days this fall during the cold snap. Still works great. So... last night (October 2022) I had no Hot Water, a few years or so ago the Gas Hot Water Heater Pilot Light started going out every 6 months or so. So I knew what to do - relight it, but this time I noticed that the Drain Valve was drip-drip-dripping. I used a channel-lock pliers to tighten it to no avail. I called Ryan. He told me that Oasis only does HVAC but he would help me find someone to help me. That was last night (Thursday), today Ryan shows up at my door to tell me he had referred my problem to someone (I don't know who) and wanted to check on me. Well, it's under control. Ryan is THE BEST and Oasis is the best for having a man like Ryan in employ. I can not thank Ryan and Oasis enough, so I decided to compose this Review, it is the least I can do and it is all Ryan and Oasis will allow me to do. If you have an HVAC problem, I doubt you can find a better outfit than Oasis, even if you make a test study. If you have HVAC problems and are triggered by the prolific radio advertisements of the two companies that are regularly "on the air", make sure you call Oasis. (775) 423-5258 One more thing... this Company is headquartered in Fallon, I'm located in Reno! Can you imagine the service I have described when I am a full hour from them? I wish the Reno News & Review or the Reno Gazette Journal or some group would offer up a voting platform for the best HVAC people in the area like they do for beer & pizza joints!

Just FYI. Sierra Air is now Sierra Air Cooling, Heating & Plumbing Reno. They do both heating and…read morecooling. This is for the Plumbing side of the business. We recently had a small leak under one of the bathroom sinks. We are on their Sierra Reward Program. So we called them on Wednesday before 5 pm. and were able to get an appointment for the following day. Now, that's customer service. The next day, they called us in the early afternoon to inform us that one of their plumbers was on the way. He arrived about 20 minutes later. His name was Alex Church. He asked to see the bathroom and to explain the problem. He took it apart and looked at all the components. Found the problem and fixed it. He informed us that we will need to replace the faucet soon. He was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He fixed our problem. I write this in hopes that his bosses see this and he gets KUDOS for his work. We are very pleased to be on the Sierra Reward Program and recommend this company.

They came back and said they didn't have the part (again), but they would bring a space heater. Again, they didn't do what they said, and no space heaters were brought. They dont return phone calls. They dont stand by their work. T This is dangerous for older people. Avoid this company if you value your health. Even after the business replied to this YELP, one week later, we called every day, and they haven't come by to fix this heater. Sieera Air does not stand by their product. Avoid like the Plague.
