Julia, the multi-knowledgeable owner, informed me about the local Japanese artisan who designed it but had since passed. A bit disappointed, I browsed the shop's local farm goods, unique home décor and repurposed furnishings - many one-of-a-kind treasures! I came back the next day to enjoyed an Umqua ice cream on a hot day, browsed again and envisioned some of her furnishings in our nearly built new home. Can't wait! When the manufacturer sent my dress in what was supposed to be champagne ( the dress was offered in 2 colors and the one I tried was too pink underneath) but was actually green (pics of dresses below) they went to bat with the company and were able to swap out materials from one dress to the other to fix it without charging me. They also worked with me on scheduling since I was coming in from the Portland area and could only do weekends. The in house seamstress Sherri was also amazing and did great work at a very reasonable price. She even offered to drop off my dress at my mom's in Eugene since she would be in the area to save me a trip back down. *Note the 7th picture is the exact moment I spotted the dress of my dreams across the store on someone else

The very next morning I opened my front door to find the candles already delivered and waiting on my mat. I'm stunned and impressed. I can only assume the owner paid out of pocket for overnight shipping, and I'm so very grateful to already have all my gifts in hand so I can take my time wrapping them. Absolutely excellent service!!!

As you might guess from the name, these are the folks to go to for beeswax candles. I've been…read morebuying from this web-based business for a couple of years, and love their products AND their prices. The Barth's (who own the business) make really good, consistent products, and their prices are lower than any other supplier I've found. For example, they have an oversized votive that fits most votive holders and burns longer. The burn time estimates on their web site are accurate; you really get 20 hours out of a large votive. They also make tea light replacements without the little metal or plastic cups, so you can reuse your tea light holders. Candles arrive nicely wrapped, well-packed, shipped by priority US mail. I got ours in three days. We burn a lot of votives and tea lights, and after years of experience, have switched completely to beeswax because it is a green product, and because it burns longer and cleaner than any other kind of candle. This is the most cost-effective and ecologically sensitive source I've found for candle lighting anywhere in the US.
