I have used Hedge Carter's Gutter Service for about 6-7 years and they have installed gutters in 4 of our properties throughout the years. Just recently I had required an "emergency" installation and called them up, however they were out for a couple of weeks for the holidays which necessitated that I contact another firm, albeit acrimoniously. What a disaster that was, and it only reminded me of how much I appreciate Hedge Carter's Gutter Service. NOT happy with the install of new gutters...They were recommended to us by neighbor who was a contract painter. They came out on 7/19/2019 and gave an estimate, at which time I explained I would pay cash upon finish of job. Their bid was in line with other bids we had been given by other gutter service. We also informed them that it would be a few months until we would be in a position to have the gutters replaced as we had to replace some of the facia boards that had rotted from water getting behind the old gutter. We made those repairs and primed the new facia boards and installed the drip edge that others had suggested to keep the water run off from getting behind the new gutters. We called them in the last part of Sept. 2019, I think it was around that time. Set the install date to be 12/10/2019. We received a call from them and they had a crew available on the 6th Dec. 2019. They(the crew) ignored my request to reuse the same hold down hoes for the down spouts. We have vinyl siding and I did not want new holes in the siding. I was not happy when the time to pay come and I found out they had ignored my request to use the old holes and they recommended I use JB Weld to fill in the holes to keep the weather out. I While in the process of paying the remainder of the money owed which as promised I paid in cash. The crew leader was unaware of the half payment and was crossing out the numbers on the work order and while I was checking the result of how the down spouts were installed he went to the van and drove off. I was assuming they would call that pm and send a receipt at which time I could explain the issue of holes in vinyl. I called the next morning as we were headed to a Christmas party. I ask that they the owners call me Monday. they did call but I missed the call and returned it the same day. When we returned home Sat. 7 Dec 2019 it had been raining so we done a walk around and found that a gutter end was leaking badly, just out side the rear door. I used a ladder to inspect the reason and found other installation issue where the drip edge we had installed had been damaged. Plus there was new leak behind the facia boards!!! We had the roof replaced about seven to ten years ago and at that time they(the roofers) had noticed some of the rood had water damage. They replaced the damaged panels. We now have several areas of water leaking on the back side of the facia boards. Not at all happy with the installation and defiantly not happy with the lack of response from the owners Rate this company to date with at leas a negative 10. read more
