A family member referred us to Monteith's, as it is where he takes his car. Well I wish I would have asked which location because only after they scratched up my steering wheel and just barely fixed the problem we brought it in with did we figure out that he actually meant to go to the one on Beardsley, in Elkhart, and that he would never in a million years have suggested coming to this location. We tried to talk to them to figure out a solution to the terrible scratches they made on my steering wheel and the managers exact words are, "we never touched the steering wheel." Well, isn't that funny, seeing as how I literally watched from across the street as they got in my car, and drove it to a different part of the parking lot! Oh and I also imagine they probably pulled it into a garage to fix it, but no, don't worry, that totally doesn't call for turning the steering wheel at all. Now they say, "Oh well we only touched it for test driving." Ok well your test driving scratched up my steering wheel. "It's probably age" they now say. Do car years work the same as dog years? My car sure aged a lot in the 24 hours they had it. Those scratches were NOT there when I left it there, in that parking lot. And I know it's not sun damage because I park it in the garage and mostly only drive at night. $1226.75 wasted because I made the mistake of taking my car to this dump. There was, however a rattling sound before I got it worked on, and that is MOSTLY gone. This place is a failure. They refuse to make up for their mistakes at all and they completely deny any wrongdoing. "Oh we didn't do that, there's nothing I can do about it." Then explain why the main reason I brought it to you is not fixed, and you have damaged my car, blamed it on me, said it must have been there before when I CAN ASURE YOU IT WAS NOT. I heard good things about this place from my dad who used to go here years ago, but something must have changed because it is not at all how it was described. We specifically said we wanted what was squeaking to be REPLACED, not given a temporary fix that only lasted about 30 minutes. What was particularly disappointing was the managers "I don't care and nothing you say matters" attitude. If I could give -10 stars I would.

Yesterday around 4pm, I walked out to my car after working a long shift at the hospital to find my…read moretire was flat. I called Belle Tire and they said they could patch it if I got there ASAP but they close at 6 and they're pretty busy. As luck would have it, taking off my tire and putting on the spare was not as easy of a task as expected and it took almost an hour to accomplish. I rushed to Belle Tire (as fast as a donut could allow) and walked in at 5:40. There were multiple cars in the bays and several customers were waiting. I approached a man I later found out to be Nick Huff, and asked if there was any way he could squeeze me in. At first, he said they couldn't do it, they didn't have time. He asked if I could leave the tire and he would patch it in the morning and I could come pick it up. I understood. But I mentioned that I live 45 minutes away, and it would take much longer on a donut. I said I needed to make a call before agreeing to leave it. But he stopped me and said, "Wait. Let's just get it. I'll do it." He followed me to my car and got the tire. He took out the screw, patched it, aired it up and put it back on my car before re-mounting the spare underneath for me. When I tell you, I almost cried. Twenty minutes later, I was walking out the door to start my 45 min drive back home. No charge. All this to say- Nick Huff from Elkhart Belle Tire, just know that you made a difference yesterday. Thank you for helping me get home safely to my family.
