Tire they ruined

Went to have a tire fixed due to a slow leak. Found out it was a small nail. Tires are barley 8 months old less than 30,000 miles on them. When they took the tire off they went to break it down and took a chunk off the side wall. Tried to tell me it happens all the time. I may be a woman but I am not an idiot and it doesn't not happen all the time. The best they could do is offer their cost on a tire!!!! You should replace the tire at no cost as this would not have happened anywhere else!!! Do not take your vehicle there for anything!

We got a flat tire on the way to Zion from LA and pushed through with a spare until on the way back. We were looking for used tire stores in towns near Zion/Springdale to fix our situation for the rest of the ride back. We called Eagle Tire for our specs and they not only had the right tire size (other stores didn't have it, most of the locality use big trucks and whatnot) they gave us a price quote HALF of what others were offering for a used tire. When we get there, the first thing we notice is the view opposite the shop's entrance - a grassy park with a beautiful rock formation in the near-backdrop! When we check our car in, the staff was extremely quick and collaborative in fixing our tire! We got done in under 20 minutes and they even filled our other tires at our request (although they may do this anyway by practice)! Not only that, the price quote for the used tire INCLUDED all the other charges, so we paid what we were told and only a couple of dollars in taxes more. If I ever am in the area I know where to sort out my car wheel needs (although hopefully I don't get one!).

M66.mmmOf my tire. I hd kids to take to school, it was not fun. They did anyway and n excellent job customers.

Best place in town to find used tires at affordable prices. They have integrity, you can trust them to do the right thing.

Tires are great, but getting new tires should not take 5 hours. Sadly disappointed. Customer service was fair.

I won't say their labor rates are the lowest around, but they're within reason and merited by their expertise, experience, and customer service. Professionals deserve to be compensated like professionals. If you want shadetree rates there are other options in town you can take your chances with. I'd prefer to stick with people who deliver consistently top-notch service. Riverside Automotive checks that box for me.

A little background: a week ago, my disabled wife and I were contacted by our dear friend who said that she was at the eye doctor. Her vision in her good eye was suddenly fading, and she had rushed in for an appointment. While at the appointment, her vision went black. She could see nothing. We scrambled to get to her as fast as we could. She received emergency eye surgery the next morning. Our friend happens to be the sole caregiver for her aged mother, so, we moved both of them into our home and worked and struggled to care of both of them, our young family, and our medical issues. Exhausted is a grand understatement. Today, a little over a week after her surgery, her vision has not improved. They are contemplating another surgery. After a rough night of taking care of two adult patients, and three children that had trouble sleeping, I stayed with the kids while my wife took our friend to her fourth eye appointment in seven days, just to find out that they aren't sure if she will ever regain her sight. When they got back to the car, the unthinkable happened. It wouldn't start. I got called in to save them, though none of the kids were dressed or had eaten yet, I raced and got us dressed, grabbed a few snacks and drinks, and jumped in the van off to the rescue. And then something even more exciting happened, something I had worried about. Our across the street neighbor has been re-roofing, and much of the debris was in the road over the last several days, and according to the alarm on my dashboard, one of those roofing nails had found its way into my tire, and my tire was going flat. Of course this would happen at the same time I was off to rescue my wife and friend from their predicament. I hoped I would get there before they had burnt to a crisp waiting in the car that would not start. I was so relieved when I realized that Riverside Automotive Repair was a block away, and when I pulled up I saw the word written in bold on the building that was my deliverance, "TIRES". I pulled up to the front door, rolled down the windows for the kids, made two steps into the building and exclaimed, "I have an emergency! My wife is stranded with my friend who just went blind. Their car won't start, and I am on the way to rescue them, but I just found a nail in my tire, and it is going flat. They are sitting in the hot car, and I have my children with me. Can you please take a moment and repair the tire?" Without missing a beat, the front desk worker responded immediately with the words no one would never imagine to hear in a dire situation such as this: "We don't have time. You would have to have an appointment." My head sunk, almost in tears I turned around and walked out. The worker stood and followed me out for some reason, continuing to tell me that they can't help us in our emergency. I got in the van, and drove a few feet into the shade to see if I could figure out how to access the spare. I have never had to get to the spare in this vehicle before. I watched as the worker went to the three or four mechanics in the shop, a glimmer of hope, maybe one of them would be sympathetic to our situation and come to our aid. Alas they did not. I sat in the parking lot for about 10 more minutes. I discovered that my van had a pump, so I pumped up the tire and prayed that I could make it to my wife and friend. In a genuine emergency, something that would have taken 10 minutes to repair, we were denied the basic human decency and even the slightest bit of help. Let that review speak for itself about Riverside Automotive Repair and their staff. I feel sorrow for what occurred, and vow to do my very best to never allow someone in such dire need to go unaided.

The customer service outstanding. Mike, Scott, Mateo, were such a joy throughout my issue with my car. They open at 8:00 AM. I was there at 7:58 AM. I knew in my spirit that they would be busy and I needed to get on the road back to California ASAP. I was greeted by Mike with Good morning, how can we help you with a smile. that made me feel less stressed. I told him and with no hesitation Mike was on the job. Quickly he came and gave me an itemized list of what he was doing. Loved that. Then he was back to working on my car, ordering parts. While he was working, I had the opportunity to have a great conversation with Scott. Who has been in the auto mechanic industry for 17 years. So, I knew that I was in good hands. Scott's customer care and understanding of the customer care issues he definitely addressed them accordingly. I was thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and their willingness to assist each customer that walked through the door. I was in awe and wished that we had mechanics that care for the person and then they handled the car issues. I see why they're one of the best; if not the best in their industry. Thank you Mike, Scott, and Mateo for being so helpful and nice while I was at your establishment . Mikes main priority was to get me safely on the road. And he did. I made it safely back to California. Which was a 5 hour drive. It happened at a very difficult time and place, about 150 miles east of St. George and in a snow storm. We stopped in Kanab for an engine test and were told that the transmission had developed a problem that would disable the All-Wheel-Drive. We were told that driving to St. George would not cause further damage to the transmission but the snow storm, without all-wheel-drive, resulted in a very cautious drive to St. George. We called ahead to St. George Transmission and they were familiar with that particular Subaru problem and they had the parts in stock. We decided that our other car, a Ford Transit 350 van handled even worse than the Subaru so while St. George Transmission fixed the Subaru, we had Snow tires put on the van. We have fond memories of St. George and, especially of St. George Transmission. They made our Forester safe to drive, even though the snow storm got worse as we drove on to Seattle. Great company and staff is very knowledgeable in Subaru transmission problems.

The next morning I drove about 30 minutes down the mountain to AutoZone to have the battery tested. It turned out the battery wasn't holding a charge, and I was told the next thing to check would most likely be the alternator. I called multiple mechanics and mobile mechanics in the area until my brother found Ryan. At first, there wasn't much he could do because we had to emergency order an alternator from Vegas. I was able to get a warranty replacement battery from AutoZone and continue my plans for the day. The following evening around 5:30 PM, Ryan came out and was able to take care of the repair. He even helped order the correct alternator through AutoZone for me. He showed up on time, checked every possible option, and took the time to properly troubleshoot the issue instead of just guessing. After testing everything, we determined the alternator was the most likely problem. The installation only took him about 40 minutes. Afterward, we tested everything multiple times using different meters and code readers, took the vehicle for a test drive, and made sure everything was working correctly. I was nervous at first because there was still a strange noise after the repair, but Ryan took the time to troubleshoot it further until everything checked out. The battery light was gone, all tests passed, and I was able to safely drive over 350 miles back to California without any issues. I really appreciate Ryan's professionalism, honesty, and willingness to help while I was stranded away from home. If you're ever in the Zion area and need a reliable mechanic, I highly recommend R&J Mobile Mechanics.
