I stopped by Sunrise during a roadtrip through the area. Ran over a rock on a Saturday, leading to a small bulge in the tire wall, but couldn't get it in until Monday (I was nowhere near a tire shop that Saturday, and Sunrise was closed Sundays). Monday happened to be the day I was driving back to California, so I was in a bit of a rush when I stopped in Monday morning. A young woman (Kenna?) helped me out. I was primarily concerned with my tire's condition and whether it needed replacing, and she came out to give an assessment. She then had her boss (didn't catch his name) give a second opinion, and they agreed that the damage warranted replacement ASAP -- I had a six-hour drive to California ahead of me, and it wouldn't be safe with a tire that could potentially blow out. They didn't have my exact tire in stock, but it was available across town. The initial recommendation was to come back in a few hours when they'd be ready, but I expressed that I was in a bit of a hurry (very unfortunate timing!). Kenna offered to personally drive over and pick up the tire they needed. I appreciated that so much! She left immediately, came back with it, and they got it installed. The pricing was pretty fair. Recently, I brought our personal travel van to Sunrise for service. Since the vehicle was only recently acquired, I explained to the service writer that in addition to alignment, I wanted it fully checked out. I further explained in detail that the front end shakes and steering wheel vibrates at speeds exceeding 60 mph, and the brake pedal goes almost to the floor. Long story short, even though the front wheels had been switched up, the wheel balance had been neglected, and the "tech" could not suggest what the brake problem, if any, might be. I took the vehicle over to Mercedes-Benz, where they replaced the master brake cylinder, and noted that the front tires were worn on the inside edges, as well as seriously "cupping". I returned the vehicle back to Sunrise, and explained that I was exasperated at having to be there again, with the vehicle's front end shaking and steering wheel vibrating, and explained what I had learned at Mercedes. The service writer rudely shoved my keys back across the counter with the comment they had not been instructed to balance the wheels, and "If you don't like how we do things here, go someplace else." read more

We have been using Sunrise Tire for many many years, would never consider going elsewhere unless they cannot fix what is wrong. Russell is in charge and he has a wonderful crew. He would never try to sell you something you did not need, they are so very honest with all your repairs. My son-in-law was here a few days ago taking his daughter back to college in Fort Collins, Co. On the way here his air conditioning stopped cooling and they could not travel on with that disaster, I called Sunrise and talked to Russell and he said have him come in and he was sure they could help him. The Firestone tires that came stock on my Wrangler are the biggest pile of horse sh*t I've ever seen! You mean to say I was off-roading on 4 ply tires this whole entire time since I bought the damn thing??!! Well well well, look at me, paying for the consequences of my own actions that day... aaaaand blew 2 tires while off-roading just past the St. George Gorge by a mine shaft! Sooo.. I called around, and everything closes at like 5pm in Utah! Much to my dismay... it didn't help that I forgot to pack the case of water bottles like I normally leave in my trunk. Cuz suddenly I was starting to get thirsty all while freakin out! I just about called every dang repair/ tire shop in the area on my Yelp directory list (Thank God I at least had signal!) I was nearing the bottom of the list of places to call when I finally came across and called Sunrise Tires! Just when I thought I was down on my luck, Russell, the owner answered my call and was kind enough to send a tow truck my direction and stayed open for me while the rest of his staff and crew went home for the day. I arrived at his shop riding shot gun with the tow truck driver haulin my Jeeper on the flatbed. Russell changed my two blown tires himself! And got my Jeeper fully equipped with all-4-matching-10-ply-Cooper-Discoverer-Tires! He even threw in a spare 5th tire on the back. Wait for it..... everything totaled out under a grand! In Vegas that is unheard of..... Talk about service! I'm soooooo grateful for you, Russell! I brag about him and highly recommended him to all my family and friends, He is a definite life saver!! These guys are simply are the best. I had a leaking tire, slowly, and I called the guy at 4:47 PM. He said if you hurry up get up here, we close at five. I was there at 4:52 pm. By 5:10 PM, they had found the screw, repaired the tire, and I paid $22. How amazing is that. Other places would have tried to sell you a tire or give me some bogus information. I was fully prepared to give this shop a 5 star rating until I got the bill. Despite the fact that I had to wait an extra half hour after my appointment time, I was very impressed with the technicians knowledge and customer service. He was quick and efficient and I felt that I could trust him to do a good job. However, I was not impressed with the fact that my bill was $45 higher than my quote when I set the appointment on the phone. I was also not impressed with the lack of any interest on the service tech at the counter to address the discrepancy with a discount of any kind. This may be because I'm from out of state. I would be very careful if you come in to this shop if you are a woman or from out of state. Get a quote in writing before you allow them to work on your vehicle. When I was young, my parents would visit my grandma who lived in St. George. I remember the first time we went to Sunrise Tire was to fix some sort of tire issue, I am not sure what was wrong exactly. All I wanted to do was get to the sand dunes. This was the first of a few visits my family made to Sunrise Tire. Sometimes it was to make sure we could make it home and other times it was to fix a leak. I remember asking my dad why we went to Sunrise when there were other auto places on our way and were closer to where we were staying. He said they were people he trusted and liked working with. Years later I remembered those words as my van was shaking with my family onboard. It was late in the afternoon and I could feel the shaking getting worse as we headed home from a family trip. I called Sunrise to see if there was any way they could take a look at what was going on. From the moment I talked to them on the phone to the time I left, I felt like my dad's sentiments over 20 years later still rang true. They did fantastic work and went above and beyond to take care of me and get my family back on the road even though they were booked up. The drive back was smooth and problem free. I pulled in and was immediately greeted with helpful friendly service. They are extremely quick to check my tire and help me find a replacement when it couldn't be patched. They went above and beyond and put the tire on the spare rim and the spare tire on the main rim since they didn't carry the exact same brand so they would all still match, even though it wasn't necessary. My tire protection company requirements included pictures of old tire and them holding the tire at their shop for 5 days and they accomodated both. Very glad I stopped at this shop. read more

We are from out of State; just visiting the Sand Hollow State Park. We went to Sunrise Tire because we got a flat front, driver tire while wheeling the SHSP trails. We hoped it was repairable but they told us it was not. They showed us the damage and we agreed. That said, we asked if they had the same tire in stock but alas, they did not. They said they could get it to us the following Monday (this was Thursday afternoon) but we would already be gone. They put our spare tire on, aired up the other three, and sent us on our way - no charge. The mechanics and office staff were polite, nice, friendly and professional. They are dog friendly too!
