Just purchased a 2026 GMC Sierra AT4. It came with running boards but they were the same level as the threshold so I went to Dixie 4X4 to get the boards I wanted. They have done previous work on my Willys and 2022 Silverado. Their work is professional and thorough. They won't talk you into anything more than you need and help you decide on somethings you think you need but may not. They are always first on my list. Stay far away from this shop. These guys are as lazy at it comes. Took them 5 days to bolt on a PMF lift kit. They gave the truck to me, driving 100% cock eyed. Couldn't even keep it in a straight line. Took it back. They had it for another 2 days and said it's aligned and drives perfect. Same exact thing, truck was barely able to go 40 down the road without pulling into a ditch. Both front brake lines were leaking fluid everywhere after the first 100 miles, getting fluid everywhere inside the wheels and all over my driveway, took it to Ford, where from there we discovered multiple other problems, axle setback, backwards coils, loose bolts, over tightened bolts, leaky brake lines and more... Thanks to Bryce for the quick hack job, and not standing by him or his guys work, not fixing any of it. read more

We had what we thought was a complete failure of the front differential and had to be towed to Dixie 4 Wheel Drive from Sand Hollow. They got us in right away even though they were very busy and were able to determine it was not burned out. The locking differential was stuck and they were able to free it up and get us back on the road! They told us what work needed to be done and how to do it. They never tried to up-sell us or take advantage of the situation. We were passing through the area, just starting on a month long road trip and they made it possible for us to keep going! Bought an ARB Summit bumper, 10k Superwinch, BD fog lamps and Oracle mirror ditch lights. I spent 6 hrs attacking the bumper, but soon realized it was too much for one. I have a 2020 pick-up 4x4. I wanted to get a 4 inch lift kit, some ARB lockers, a FASS lift pump and a winch and bumper installed in addition to new wheels and tires. I estimate that the OTD on the work I was requesting at least $18k to $20k parts and labor. I contacted Dixie 4 Wheel Drive by email through their website twice since I am hearing impaired and miss most of what is said on the phone. I got no response from anyone at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive to my two email attempts. My wife and I stopped by the store/shop and were sent away because they had just closed and were told to call then the next time they were open. We called and talked to someone at the sales counter who took all the information on the work, parts and labor we wanted done. This person never returned our call to give us a quote or set up an appointment for the installation of the parts. We were a bit shocked at the discourteous treatment that we received in light of so many "glowing" reviews. I guess they are only interested in a "certain" type of clientele. We were and still are mystified by their rejection of our business. It seems on further inspection they typically treat customers this way. Shame on them. No honor. No class. read more

I'm not a local, so I won't be a regular at Dixie, but this place saved my ass yesterday. I was out in the wilderness in Parashant, 60 miles south of St. George, in a rental Jeep, when the bolt that attaches the track bar to the frame broke. I ended up having to drive it about 15 mph for four hours to avoid a death wobble (breaking a shock along the way). I got to Dixie an hour before closing and was prepared to have to upend the rest of my trip for the repair, but they got a new bolt in, removed the broken shock and got me on my way in under an hour, for a minimum expense. The car works great now and I'm writing this from my hotel room in Mesquite. Give the guy who was working yesterday afternoon a raise. He turned around my bad day in a big way. read more

Never received estimate, after two days Called "Pat" who said he knew nothing about my estimate but would call me back With estimate. No call back. So I followed up again. I got a sob story about employees not coming to work. But he would get me an estimate. 7 days later, no estimate, no call. Sad that they are named "Dixie". They clearly don't understand the term. Last September We stopped in at Dixie 4Wheel Drive in Moab Utah to see about putting new axles in our 87 YJ Jeep. We talked to Milton and set up a deal. Over the Winter Dixie moved, and we eventually took our Jeep to StGeorge Utah, where Milton took charge and got our Jeep reaxled, straightened out a steering issue, brake issue, and put our new 35" tires on. When we went to payup, the bill was not as much as anticipated by quite a bit, considering the work that had to be done. We went straight to Moab Easter Jeep Safari and it performed excellently, steered better than ever, and the brakes were way better. I want to start this review by stating we didn't buy anything here. Not this time. But I would frequent this fine four wheel drive establishment if we lived here for sure. Or maybe on our next trip to Hurricane we will stop by. Great shop, service, and staff here. My buddy rented a SoCal Tear Drop trailer for our trip to The North Rim of The Grand Canyon. I'm kicking myself for not getting the gentlemen's name who helped us...we picked up on a Thursday afternoon and he wore a cap and had a goat tee beard. Super helpful and knowledgeable. We were pretty set, as we all are seasoned off road trailer users. Jordan's trailer came nicely equipped, and clean and functional. A nice package, and great way for him to rent before you buy. The showroom is also and adult gear heads playground. Suspension and recovery products very nicely displayed, along with some amazing Jeep vehicles to get your octane laced blood flowing. With Sand Hollow Recreation area nearby, I would be spending all my time and money here if we lived locally. Thanks guys, you are a really well put together off road shop! So nice to see folks doing it right, rather than stuffing millions of dollars of off road toy inventory into a strip mall! We will be back. read more

I flopped my Jeep on it's side in Sand Hollow, an offroad area outside of town. Minor damage but needed help. I called Dixie 4WD to ask if they knew a recovery service, and Brad (service manager) said he would come after me. Bryce is the one that usually does recoveries, but he was off on a trip. Brad came out and got me upright, then proceeded to get oil out of the cylinders. He ran into a problem so he put it partly back together and we towed it into his shop. If there was a better recommendation than excellent, then I would use it for our experience with Dixie. While on vacation, the serpentine belt broke, stopping our JK on the spot. Towed it to Dixie where Patrick shared how extremely busy they were. After a few minutes, he realized our predicament, and offered to work the repair into their schedule. Within 2-1/2 hours we were back on the road, charged very fairly for their work. Dixie didn't have to be so accommodating, but I think it's in their character to help humans out. We are from out of town & needed some work down on our RV suspension hydraulic levers. We were headed home from Zion & called around & nobody could fit us in, since we didn't live in Utah we couldn't stay for weeks. We were referred to this 4 wheel drive family shop. When you pull in all you see is beefed up jeeps with all sorts of after stock accessories... Wasn't sure what they were gonna be able to do for us. It's a family run business and Milt is the husband, father, genius & his wife was so warm & kind. They don't make families business like this anymore, it's a rare dying species. And all the young kids learning how to work on vehicles is exciting to me, men still doing these manly hobbies!! In the end, Milt fixed our RV for a more than fair price & I left with a huge smile on my face that made me wish I could live in St. George even more. read more

I have a jeep tj 2005 daily driver and they help me out so much on the things that will keep my jeep up and running but still looking good. Took my jeep in to be re geared and lockers put in. After getting it back, the radio would not turn off when jeep was off, therefore draining the battery. Weirdly enough we figured out that if we rolled down the driver side window, the radio would turn off, but then randomly would come back on and stay on. Took the radio apart to see if we could figure it out and noticed they had ran the wire for the lockers through the radio. After hours of trying to fix it, we took it back to Dixie 4x4. After disconnecting what they had done, the radio still didn't turn off so they concluded it wasn't their fault and that the radio was wired wrong. That being said, wired wrong or not, it worked before we took it in. Dixie 4x4 said that neither of us could prove it did or didn't work before we brought it in, insinuating that we were lying. There was a terrible lack of customer service and helping us come to some kind of compromise to fix what wasn't broke before we came in. This place was recommended by a friend so I was comfortable taking my vehicle here. I was sorely disappointed in services rendered and will not be recommending them to anyone. read more

We needed a little help when we got into A bit of a situation while off roading in the mountains.We contacted Dixie Off Road on there emergency line.They REALLY HELPED us .We spoke with Bryce, he knew where we were and was willing to come help us out ! As it turned out ,He was the right guy for the job. We found him after asking around who was the best off-roader in the area and who would be willing to come out where we were stranded.(another guy we contacted said it was too dangerous to drive up there.) We were up on top of a Mountain in a 2500 power wagon with 40" tires, when we got to the top ,OOPS NO MORE ROAD ! 5000 ft cliff and a off camber top with loose rock and sliding sideways.(it was a UTV Trail we went up.) OK, IT WAS A DUMB MOVE TO GO UP THERE,YES I KNOW ! Anyway,Bryce got us down safely and in one piece.This Guy can DRIVE. He said they have off road driving classes,I think we may check those out. Can't Thank you enough for the help ! I am grateful and humbled from the experience. My modified '04 Tacoma broke down in Grand Staircase - Escalante NM and I decided to bite the bullet and get towed all the way to St. George so we could get it to a legit shop. I arrived on Sunday and dropped my rig in their lot. Monday AM I dropped by to talk with them and discovered that they were very booked up. Chris was super helpful and said he'd get a tech to look at it anyway, and call me as soon as possible with more info about what they could do. When he called later that day, the parts had been procured and the repair completed. We are now back on the road for the second half of our vacation. Can't recommend this business enough. Worst experience I've ever had with a repair facility. I went to Dixie based on the work I saw on my friend's Jeep. The quality was very good and so I talked with Chris about re-gearing my TJ Rubicon. Since it was going to be apart I ordered chromoly axles all around and Vanco brakes for the front. I made the appointment with Chris who told me to bring it in on Thursday morning and it would be done by noon on Friday. Chris called me Friday morning trying to sell me heavy-duty diff covers (which I did not ask for), then informed me that the work wouldn't be done until late Friday. The Jeep was still being worked on when I got there after closing, and Milt handed me the keys and kind of rushed me out. When I got in to go home, the check engine light was on and the brake pedal was very spongy. Milt said nothing about this when he handed me the key. I bled the brakes to see if there was any air in the lines and found that the rear wheel studs were too short, less than three turns on the lug nuts before the wheel was tight. I talked to Vanco about the spongy brake pedal and they said it's not normal. If the pads weren't bedded in per the instructions the pedal will never feel right. I'm going to have to buy new rotors and pads and start over. Ten Factory sent longer wheel studs over-night no charge (great customer service), I removed the axles and installed them myself. So here's the part that bothers me about Dixie: The reason they were late delivering my Jeep was because they were short-handed. They knew they'd be short-handed when I made the appointment but didn't ask if I could bring it in another time. The guy who installed the brake kit had never done one before, (Chris let it slip), and didn't read or follow the instructions. I know he didn't read the instructions because he never installed the steering stops from the stock hubs (had to buy those too). When I talked to Milt about all of this he said someone would call me and work something out. Two week went by and no call. I talked with Milt again. A week and a half goes by and Chris finally calls me apologizing for not calling sooner and admitting that they were overwhelmed that day. I tell him all the things that went wrong and he says he'll get back to me. That was over three weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing. I know that as much as we want it to, every job can't be perfect, It's how you deal with the customer when something goes wrong that separates a great shop from a mediocre shop, and Milt and the crew at Dixie Four Wheel Drive failed miserably. They not only failed to meet the promised delivery time, they sent me out with an unsafe vehicle that could have lost a wheel or had brake failure. So Milt, your "ignore them until they go away" policy has worked. You win, I won't call you again. But I will tell everyone I know with a 4WD vehicle about my experience with you. I spent almost $5k in your store and walked away feeling like you could care less. But don't worry, I fixed all of your sloppy work. The locker wiring harness brackets you left hanging, the wheel studs you failed to notice were too short, the odd lug nut you installed, the steering stops, I reset the MIL (not sure how you tripped that), and new rotors and pads properly bedded in. If I could give you zero stars I would. read more
