The symptoms listed for that code were not presenting. As we travelled, the code became more consistent and started threatening to reduce our speed to 65 mph. We had it looked at in Golden, CO. We cleaned the oxygen sensors and the circuits. We continued to travel. By the time we reached Richfield, UT, it was threatening to reduce the speed to 55 mph. Service centers were backed up two to three weeks. We still had no symptoms and decided to go ahead and try to get to St. George. We looked on Yelp for service centers that could deal with this code and found Tech 1. They answered the phone and tried to be helpful immediately. They were busy and backed up but told us to bring it over and they would take a look at it. They made time to look at it the next day. The staff were very professional and friendly. They explained the issue in detail and provided a clear estimate before starting the work. The repair was completed in the time frame promised. I appreciated their efficiency. The cost was very reasonable compared to other quotes I received. I felt the pricing was fair for the quality of service provided. PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING ANOTHER SHOP!!! I recently purchased a car from Stephen Wade, please save yourself the potential heart ache and do NOT give them your business. I ran into problems with the vehicle the very same day I purchased it, it started overheating out of nowhere an hour after I drove it off the lot. the next Monday I took into another auto shop in town, they said that my water pump had gone out, paid for the water pump and was still having problems. I took it into another shop and they said that my head gasket had gone and that was the problem. I got a referred to this shop and took it into them. they had my car for no longer than an hour and had already found the root of the problem, something so simple that neither shop ever bothered to check. It was my radiator, they gave me a quote, which the price was way beyond reasonable and worth it, and had it back to me within a week even with their shop down for renovations. they replaced my radiator and it's been running beautifully since! I cannot express how grateful I am for this shop, I got put through the ringer by the dealership and various shops and this place did me right. I will not be taking my business to any other shop from now on and if I ever run into anybody with car problems this will be the first and only shop I recommend from here on out! read more

Their communication game was strong; they kept me in the loop with updates via calls and texts that felt more like chatting with a savvy friend who knows cars. And when it came to the repair bill, they definitely didn't play the usual "guess the number" game. After shopping around, it was clear they had given me a sweet deal--easier on my wallet and far less than what others were quoting. They didn't just fix the clunks; they went full spa treatment on my engine. Integrity, respect, experience, and efficient service. I am in town for few days of hiking, the air-conditioner stopped working in my car, coming back from hike on a hot day, I called Tech 1, late in the afternoon, the gentleman who answered the phone said if you hurry up, we'll take a look at it. I showed up in less than 30 minutes, he opened the hood and immediately noticed a rodent problem, he said bring in tomorrow, it may be complicated. Next morning 7:30 AM I was at his shop, while I sat in the waiting area, for less than 30 minutes, he came back handed me the keys and said have a good day, it was a simple rewire, I tried it is working well. The shop is really great. They correctly diagnosed my issue and gave me a detailed quote for repair, the price was very fair. They also found several other very big issues that also needed to be corrected to make the car safe to drive. They were very fair on those repairs as well. Ken the owner also took care of a couple of smaller issues and I never saw the cost on my bill, I consider that to be above and beyond when it comes to taking care of the customer. Got my Prius hybrid battery changed. This was the only shop besides the dealership that would do the job and their pricing was much better, plus talking to Ken made me feel really confident of the level of service and expertise I'd be getting.
