The price we were quoted was extremely high but it was our anniversary and we assumed the price would reflect the value of services rendered. In hindsight, bottom line: All things considered, in my opinion, you pay for a Ferrari and get a BMW. The price for what you get is egregiously overpriced even when accounting for how expensive the Vail Valley is these days. I recommend this experience if you are ultra wealthy to the point where cost/value ratio means nothing to you. I don't recommend this trip of you appreciate the concept of value in any way. There is a way to get the same experience with better accommodations for MUCH less: 1. For almost 50% less, stay at the 4 Eagle Ranch down the road for meals and lodging: VERY unique remote glamping experience with classy yet low key tent bar/restaurant on the hillside. Objectively better/more unique food/lodging experience and it's actually massively cheaper! 2. Turn to Co. Angling Company only for guided fishing - their price rocket ships if you tack on anything else.

We would love to go here again because we had a great time, but I would need to have a manager or something sign off on the quote we receive to avoid the big balloon in price that we experienced, that was really hard pill to swallow. Regarding the drastic price change, we called in advance and received a quote for $700 for two 8-person rafts and a shuttle to get us there (screenshot provided). Unfortunately, we were told the morning we all arrived that the quote was incorrect and the shuttle cost was per person and not per shuttle. It also looks like the "Land & River Use Fee" nearly doubled as well, even though we did not change the amount of equipment we were renting. I told the staff that we would move forward with the cost because everyone was already there and they said they would charge us appropriately. They said our two dogs were not allowed in the shuttle, so we had to drive them up separately, but I was told later that dogs were allowed and could have gone in the shuttle. Once we got back down from the river float, we saw the charge was $1036, a 48% increase in cost compared to our quote, I was shocked, and after speaking to the staff there, it looks like we were over charged by the two shuttle costs of the folks who had to driven up, so we ended up in the high 900's, but still much higher than quoted. Overall, I'm happy we got to use the rafts, but I would warn others to speak to a manager when confirming costs and to be prepared for over charges or at least an increase in cost at the end of the trip.

They gave clear instructions and guided us through the waters with such professionalism. They would explain interesting facts about the Shoshone River as we floated along certain parts, also on the bus ride they would explain fun facts along the road. Lunch was provided back on the bus which Kya drove like a champ. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a thrilling Colorado adventure!

Very good communication and guidance during the sign up process and good information provided prior to arrival. The river experience was excellent. Our guides (Anna and Kaitlyn) were informative and entertaining during our 45 minute ride to the drop in near Glenwood Canyon. Our family felt very safe in their hands and we had a lot of fun on this trip. Anna was a fantastic guide and boat captain. After the excitement of the rapids we spent about another 1.5 hours floating and sometimes swimming. Highly recommend for people who haven't done it before.

We came up from Cedar Park, TX (outside Austin) and had a place in Vail. We were looking to get…read moreout on the river, and found Colorado River Center at Rancho Del Rio. This place is absolutely amazing. It's really cool the somewhat new owners Jim and Lauren....about as cool and easy going as it gets. I brought my family of 5, my wife, my 15 year old daughter and my sons 18 and 20....before my new grad heads off to West Point. We looked at some of the cabins, and you can see all the work the new owners have put into them, they look amazing, and a lot have been re-decorated. It's a very cool rustic. My wife and daughter loved the gift shop and the cool shirts. The guide Jeremy took us out, and my wife does not like the water, and he kept her pretty happy in the middle with the gear. We got out and saw some historical 1840's old cabin and other stuff, was completely awesome! We will be getting back there as soon as we can, the views driving in and out of there are almost worth the drive. They had a great little adult beverage store, pretty awesome to have out in the middle of nowhere...with no cell coverage which I loved....no work calls ,ha. Pretty family friendly, and the little wedding event setup looked cool.

And highly recommend. guides "Forest" and "Matt" Your point of entry is their website and soon you'll be talking to the lead manager, Kyle who makes the whole process very easy and is happy to tailor design to specific needs of the individual or group. Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced kayaker who has not paddle the Colorado company this company has something for everybody For the beginner, they have amazing lessons and safety training and for more advanced paddlers, they have can take you down challenging river runs It's also the "complete package" --they have all the equipment all the logistics worked out . you just show up at their place in Edwards and they take care of everything and then bring you back to the point of origin. The drive to most places where you put in boats on the river are 30 to 40 minute drive so very close to the Vail area and convenient. A recent trip with " Matt " was one of the best I've had in which we had both experienced and beginners in our crew and Matt catered to every level as we went down the river and provided great river training skills and even acted as "photographer" for the trip . You see everything from open planes to tall mountain views. We got to ninety six hundred feet elevation from seventy five hundred feet,the starting point. Dust on the paths were doable with no issues. The helmets and face mask, as well as eye protection, were provided and worked awesome. Craig, the owner is very welcoming and does a super job running his company. I had a problem with my phone service. And he loaned me his phone for over an hour till I got my problem resolved. Way beyond the call of duty.

We got to experience the resident sheep that graze the area. UTV's that we road were very new and I only think we were riders number 4 or 5 in these razor's we took out.
