Also, at time of this review, they offered a discount when ordering multiple glasses - WOOHOO! FYI, they DO sell contacts if you are not into eyeglasses. Plenty of parking in the adjacent lot, and location is proximate to TCU & not far from I-20, I-30, or Chisholm Trail Tollway. Seriously, our family agreed - we will now look forward to our annual eye checkups as long as we visit here. Five star recommendation.

On that date I paid for my exam for lenses which included a pair of designer frames and contacts as well. Three weeks pass and I hear nothing so I call to check in. The person who is spoke to did not provide an update on when I could expect to come and pick up the glasses but advised me to call back in two weeks. I wait 3 weeks and reach back out to them August 25th or 26th regarding the matter. On this date the representative placed me on a hold advised that she needed to speak with her manager and someone would call me back. I give them a business day and do not hear anything so I call back on Friday 8/28/26. Then the rep tells me the frames arrived. So then they send out to me the automated texts that my eye wear is ready for pick up. I take time out of my work day to go to clarckson eye care on 8/31/26. I'm greeted by the two reps at the front desk which who at least one of the young ladies I corresponded with on the phone. I neglected to mention she was very rude. She asked to place me on hold and before I could say anything I heard the hold music. Her customer service skills were awful. So awful in fact normally I let things like this slide and move forward but I feel the only way to be heard is to take more time to leave this review of the atrocious service. Now when I arrived on 8/31/26 the young lady sitting to the right asked me to take a seat. Where I waited. She then comes out and asks me did I order lenses only? Who orders lenses only. Secondly no the receipt which I had which no one cared to look at shows at the bottom I ordered frames as well. She goes back into the back office. Mind you when all this is happening the girl is continually laughing at what seems to be my visible frustration with the situation. She showed no empathy only amused that I was dissatisfied. She herself or someone from the back room comes back and pulls frames from the wall. These were the frames that I did order. I think asked the woman if these frames were from the wall and she goes she thinks so she will get her co worker. Another woman comes from the back and tells me they did not have my frames so they are giving me the display frames from the wall. I hesitantly tried them on and they did appear to fit so instead of causing a stir I took the frames home with me. But here are my issues. How come I ordered those frames 7/2/26 but I was not notified by anyone until 8/31/26 when I went to pick up my eyewear the frames I ordered were not carried. That was the whole point of spending the time on 7/2/26 picked out the frames I wanted so they could be ordered from wherever they were stored. If I would have been told the frames were not being carried anymore at the time of sale I would have chose different frames or at least known what is was getting. On that note if the frames were already there on the wall? When did the lenses arrive and how come you couldn't have the decency to have them installed upon my arrival? They removed the option for me to choose if I wanted display frames before running the transaction billing my insurance. That in my opinion is not right. This whole process could have been remedied with simple communications like cause for the delay in handling .I know from experience and per the clarckson themselves most frames do not take this long. All they had to do is call and explain the delay and set some expectations which is not unreasonable for a repeat or any paying customer. In addition I was never contacted by a manger never advised of the delay never advised of when the lenses came in. They left me in the dark about everything. I will never come back to this place, it's a perfect example of once they get your money that's all they care about once that's complete you become an after thought. If I could rate them lower I would. Buyer beware make sure to asked them details prior to your purchase

Upon arrival we were greeted with the nicest lady at the front desk, who kindly offered us water as we waited. That day we had to bring our two-month old son with us. My husband was seen first. As he was finishing up his exam, it was my turn...but I still had my baby in the carrier, who was starting to wake up. They were so awesome in letting me take our baby out in the testing room to feed him a bottle, while they tested my eyes at the same time. When I was done, they let me finish feeding him, then proceeded to help me gather up all my mommy things and take it to the exam room. As a new mom, that truly meant the world to me. It's a blessing to feel cared for and supported, especially in an unknown setting, surrounded by new faces. During my exam, Dr. Le was incredibly detailed and intentional. I learned things that doctors could have told me years ago, for example, the reasoning behind my eye dryness (not removing eye makeup before bed) and the reasons why my eye drops weren't working. I have been going to eye doctors since I was 12 years old and this experience by far was the best I've ever had. Although we live in Austin, we're going to make the drive back to VisualEyes any time we need eye care. The experience we had and the people who work there make every bit of that journey worth it!

Once there, they initially seemed like good people and their office is very nice. The bill, however, was exceptional. I brought my own frames, yet they still charged me $355 and billed my insurance for an additional $1200. The doctor and staff knew that I was moving out of state and would be leaving as soon as I got my new lenses in. Chaos came when I went to pick them up and could see nothing and got an instant headache. It ended up that the doctor decided that myself, my former eye surgeon, and about 10 prior optometrists were fools and that she was special and knew more than anyone. Without my consent, and to my extreme surprise, she had completely changed the prescription to something unusable and unhelpful. Try as I might, I could not get their office to fix the prescription to what she had stated when I agreed to the script and paid them. Now, close to a year later, I have no usable glasses unless I use my old pair from a decade ago. However, they do not have the presbyopia script so I have to constantly switch back and forth between my old glasses and my readers. This was all a direct result of the doctor having a seeming God complex and being unwilling to behave as a professional or decent human. In addition to her creating considerable harm in my life, I consider them to have stolen my money as I would never have paid for new lenses that I knew were such an opposite prescription of my eyes needs. I did speak with their office again recently about the matter and they were of no help. The doctor should lose her license for such unethical and unprofessional behavior.

I got set with doctor Maria Soto, when she came in she seemed a little stressed when I first met her. I was a little concerned something was wrong so was genuinely asking her if she was okay. She said she was fine and I dropped it, after that we seemed to be alright. I had questions about payments and she directed me to the front desk, the ladies there were really nice and we sparked up a decent conversation as well! When I came back to the examination room she said she was offended by me, I was confused by this since I never said anything or implied anything offensive. I asked her what she meant and she said how I asked how she was doing "pissed her off" I was genuinely shocked that me asking how she was doing had made her upset. When I was telling her I was just trying to be an accommodating client and trying to be helpful she said I was turning the tables against her and that she did not need any talking and to forget it. She said she would carry on with the exam, but at this point I had enough. We went into an argument about it in the lobby and in front of my mother, with her also being appalled by Maria Soto's reactions. We are not coming back here ever again and if you do get Soto, do not try talking with her or get personal with her. She gets easily offended and will make you regret trying to making small talk or asking even genuine questions.

For those people who don't know, South Eyeworks Group is the site of a well-established, well respected optometric center. On September 24th, the day before, I went there for my annual, comprehensive eye care examination. It's my yearly, vision wise ritual I started 11 years ago in 2015 after my successful cataract surgery. My annual exam went very well. Which always leaves me with a comfortable feeling of ease. Now back to yesterday, September the 25th. I had returned back to the South Eyeworks Group site at 4631 Hulen Street because there at the same site there is an adjoining eyewear shop section of their business where new eyeglasses can be purchased. I went there. I hadn't purchased a new pair of reading glasses in 11 years. Around 9:40 AM, I entered the glass door entrance to a space area that was a combination of an office work area and a large display section featuring many dozens of pairs of eyeglasses for sale. Within seconds of me entering the room area, a woman employee looked up from her desk and computer and pleasantly asked me if she could help me. I told her yes. I stated that I just had my eyes examined the day before. I continued on by telling her, that all went well with the eye exam, but I was still considering buying a new pair of eyeglasses. But first I had some questions I wanted to ask before I made up my mind. The woman smiled and welcomingly motioned me to come sit in the chair adjacent to her desk so we could talk about eyeglasses. Now I won't go into a lot of details about the informative discussion we had about glasses. But I must say, I enjoyed talking to the nice, amiable young lady sitting before me who's name I learned from her was Elida Rodriguez. She answered all my questions in a clear understanding manner. After I decided yes. I told Ms. Rodriguez that I was ready to buy a new pair of glasses there. With a smile, she excused herself, got up and went to gather up a number of eyeglasses that were in my price range. She soon came back with them. After I held, examined, and tried on some of the well-picked glasses that Ms. Rodriguez had chosen for me. After a few minutes, I picked out a pair of eyeglasses that I liked more than the others. And I purchased it. In closing, I have to say that the time I spent with Elida Rodriguez was time well spent. She was a joy to engage in a conversation with. She was a very pleasant, competent woman. And may I add, in my opinion, it's exceptional employees like her that are the cornerstones of successful businesses like South Eyeworks Group, Inc. Note: Elida, if you also reading this review, take care, I wish you well. Respectfully yours, Philip W. R. Fort Worth, Texas
