We stopped by when walking on our way to an event on pier 35. Excellent service around 9 on a Saturday morning. Tables are close together but for breakfast, it was kinda neat. The food is only ok. I ordered the breakfast special which is two eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and potato wedges. My egg whites were a little over fried but the yolks were good. The bacon was soggy so she took it back and got it crisped up and then it was better. I ordered wheat toast - it was maybe a sourdough wheat...? It was good. The potatoes were crispy and yummy. I ordered mine with the extras: sour cream, bacon and chives. Randy ordered the classic Benedict. He liked the thickness of the sourdough it came on. Eggs were good, runny when broken. The sauce was flavorless, sadly. Split decision on whether we'd return and try different food. Again, excellent customer service.

After reading the reviews I expected a bit of a better experience which is why we opted for this place out of all the options available, we even planned our day to be sure to eat here before they closed at 3 and we were disappointed and left feeling like we should've selected elsewhere. Upon arriving the host was quick to get us seated and was great at accommodating our giant stroller at a table since our toddler had fell asleep after a long morning at the museum. We were greeted shortly after and our order was taken. Drinks arrived roughly 5ish minutes after ordering. I tried their Watermelon Jolly Rancher drink and it was delicious. Not bitter, not too sweet, just right. Now getting to the important part, the food -- Our appetizer was the spicy crispy shrimp and it was probably the only thing I enjoyed. Beer battered cod fish and fries, for the price that it is, my TWO pieces of cod fish were awfully small and had a thick batter making them appear bigger but after removing some of it as it was just too much and not crispy enough (so it had that slimy consistency on the inside still) I also asked for extra lemons and was brought the tiniest 2 wedges ever lol... they never brought any out to begin with so it was literally two little wedges for my "extra lemon" request. fish and chips 2/10 Kids enjoyed their cheeseburger but ended up leaving the chicken tenders behind. Hubby got the breakfast burger which is part of their Breakfast for Lunch menu and said it was good but he wouldn't get it again (6/10) Service : started great, again, host was friendly and order was taken quickly. However, they were not busy at all and we weren't checked on until our plates were empty. There was probably 2-3 other families/couples there and I overheard them checking in on them mid-meal so that threw me off a bit. After a $130 bill which we expected a didn't mind paying, we expected a slightly different experience and better quality food. My fish had zero flavor I'm still not over the fact that I should had just ordered a burger lol

Eagle Cafe was home to my first and favorite breakfast on vacation in San Francisco. Located atop Pier 39, I worried it might be a tourist trap, but the reviews kept me hopeful and the menu sounded delightful. We stopped in not long after they opened on a Wednesday morning, and we were easily seated. Our server was friendly and prompt. I ordered the California omelet, which was soooo good! The avocado in it was perfectly made, and upgrading the potatoes to include the sour cream/bacon/chives mix was the correct move. My mom had the sourdough French toast with bacon, and she also enjoyed her meal. She tried some of mine and also loved it. For drinks, she had the strawberry lemonade and I ordered their blackberry breakfast mocktail - the perfect complement to my dish. The vibe was chill and relaxed, and the prices were reasonable, especially for SF. I'd 1,000% return on future trips.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place in pier 39. We came here because of the good yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. It's right next-door to fog Harbor Fish House on the left side by the entrance of Pier 39 on the second floor. The menu is a lot more casual, and I like both the inside and the outdoor seating. we sat outside in the shade, looking towards the Ferris wheel and just had a wonderful lunch. - blackened salmon salad was divine definitely getting that again. A very healthy serving of avocado and salmon was cooked perfectly five stars. - the fish wrap with cod was pretty good a bit more rice forward not enough fish but the french fries that came with it was yummy I would probably give that a three star We also had the bloody Mary beer, which was delicious plus some iced tea and some Dr Pepper overall just a very nice experience we would definitely come back and maybe bring our kids as well

OMG what a hidden gem. Hotel Zephyr recommended. This was spot on. Upstairs, pier 39, opens at 8:00am. Wife had the burger egg sandwich, I had the chilaquiles and coffee and hand squeezed OJ. The meal came out looking like it was prepared by Gordon Ramsey. Beautiful. Both meals were delicious!!!!!! staff super nice and professional. very clean establishment. Came back and ate at Fog Harbor the next evening. Swordfish! Yes! Raw oysters from Fanny Bay BC.

A great location for lunch on Pier 39. Our party of four was seated quickly on a busy Sunday afternoon. The waiter was attentive and checked in on us during our meal. The Cheeseburgers were cooked perfectly to medium as we requested. Lively atmosphere with San Francisco history and views of the Skywheel. As a native San Franciscan the Eagle Cafe is my go to spot to take visitors.

I want to start with how accommodating and wonderful our server Jefferson. Very warm and friendly! Wish all servers are as great as Jefferson. The food was also quick, and we got seated almost immediately. When a seagull took my bacon, they kindly replaced it. We intended to pay but they offered to get us new ones. so be careful with the seagulls. Thanks to Jefferson! Ambiance is nice!

My wife wanted to eat at a non chain place in SF in Pier 39. We decided on this restaurant named Eagle Cafe after my wife searched on Yelp for their reviews. You had a choice of eating outside or inside but bc it was a chilly November morning we decided inside was best plus we had a friend with us as well. The outside seating is a bar type seating so third person would be left out unfortunately. Their service was perfect & on point. They seated us right away took our orders ASAP. My wife was the most picky one bc of her current dietary restrictions but it still worked out for us nonetheless. Our omelettes were average. At least my wife could order it without dairy & the gluten free English muffin was good. Our friend's crab cake benedict looked very fried. He added all kinds of sauces to his entree especially his fries. Lol His strawberry lemonade looked delicious!! Our neighbor's chilaquiles looked really tasty though but they mixed up their entree right away. So no pics for Yelp:-( Their tables were set up for pretty close to each other like inches away. My wife didn't care for that. She prefers more privacy. Would we return maybe but normally we don't come to Pier 39 when we are in SF. We did prepay for parking bc it is tough to find parking in SF. My wife purchased a parking lot that was a five minute walk away from Pier 39. Their bathrooms were quite limited. Only two for the entire restaurant. You need to plan ahead as my wife had a long wait for it. They did have restrooms throughout Pier 39 though. It's a touristy place we haven't been to in years. We only came bc we had business to take care of in one of the stores at Pier 39 so we needed to kill some time & eat some breakfast. It was getting filled up fast tables wise but at least it was clean, tidy & a holiday atmosphere bc of the Xmas decorations inside & out. It did go well for us however & we were thankful. If we did return we would sit outside & enjoy the view or sit by the window if possible. My wife noticed seagulls flying by customers while they were eating outside. So be aware!

If you are looking for a great place to eat for breakfast open at 8, fast seating, great service, great food come here! The food and coffee is hot and delicious! There are so many times I have gotten avocado toast other places and the avocado is hard and unripe, not here it was soft and buttery and delectable! 10/10!

No wait time for a late lunch. Great location right on the pier. Delicious clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl - just what we were after. Also had the blackened salmon salad - ask for hot stuff on side if you don't want it wilted. Friend enjoyed the fish tacos. Everything was excellent. Parking/Discount w our hotel concierge card.

After an hour on the ferry, we needed something quick, so we stopped into Eagle Café and had probably the worst lunch service in recent memory. To make a long story short, we got our appetizers and ate them before we even got a water and vodka Cran. Our waitress was unhelpful, the manager was even less enthusiastic, and with three people behind the bar, they couldn't even hold down a lunch rush. We saw people across the bar ordering drinks and getting them quickly while we still waited. Terrible service, No friendliness or warmth, skip this tourist trap.

Can I order a Cappuccino with my breakfast?

We only have drip coffee. You are welcome to grab a cappuccino from Biscoff Coffee Corner across from us and enjoy that with your breakfast.

How long is the brunch wait on Saturday?

It all depends on your party size and time you arrive.

I didn't know you offered free parking. How does that work?

We offer 1 hour free parking in the Pier 39 parking garage right across the street from Pier 39.

Is corned beef hash back on the menu?

Unfortunately we have not put it back on the menu. Believe it or not it was one of the slower selling breakfast items.

Do they still have breakfast sandwiches called scooters and are they still 5 bucks?

    no, nothing at $5.

    Do they take reservations?

We are not currently taking reservations.

I have subscribed to other CSF and Sea Forager is by far the best. I have a "Neptune's Delight"…read moresubscription for 2 people every other week. I love the packaging, and the fact that fish is on ice rather than surrounded by those frozen plastic packets (which end up in the landfill). The fish is packaged in environmental "friendly" bags rather than in plastic. They also deliver at the beginning of the pickup period (i.e. The pickup range is 3:30-8pm, and it's at my pickup point at 3:30). That is different than other CSF who deliver sometime within their published pickup period. Now about their seafood. It has been nice to get clean cut fish, not something that looks like it was hacked from a larger fish. Everything is fresh. They send you an email letting you know what you'll receive. They also have recipes. The last item I received was 4.5 dozen mussels! I look forward to doing business with them for the foreseeable future. Just an aside. My daughter took a sea foraging tour with Kirk in 2012. She raved about how knowledgeable he was and recommended him to me. I, unfortunately, did not follow through. I found Kirk just by chance when the person whose home is used for deliveries asked, on NextDoor, who might be interested in a fresh fruit CSA. I'm glad I did.

Totally sold on them after a 4 week trial. * Seafood is SOOO…read morefresh. You can taste it. * I get to learn about how fish is caught, who caught it and how to cook it. I feel like I'm learning about the sea and the food, which is awesome. * Bonus that it's family run, they're super friendly and well meaning, give you great flexibility and they're funny too and down to earth * Super easy to order and trial, lots of pick up locations. Summary: can't go back to eating WF/Molly Stones/Costco fish no more. Uh uh.
