$29 lunch special: crab boil with clam chowder, corn and garlic bread
    Jessica L.

Ambiance: fun, lively, dark (better for night) Service: friendly and fast Food: lots of flavor but the crab was either old or overdone... it was not tender but a bit rubbery. Chowder was good. Garlic bread too salty. Price was great!

A favorite go to when in the area. Always great service and the food is always good. The last time here, we had the crab Caesar salad, onion rings, raw oysters, clam chowder, and cocktails. Delicious as usual and leaving satisfying full every time.

Was walking along in San Fransisco and saw a sign outside that they were open for breakfast. We entered and found an empty dining room but were greeted right away by a server. We had the place to ourselves the whole meal. I got a classic pancake egg combo plate and everything tasted amazing. I really love the detail of building, the ceilings, the furniture, a large fireplace that was lit. It's got a moody vibe that I really enjoyed.

Randomly walked in while doing the basic tourist walk to check out their happy hour menu. Got the calamari, fried shrimp, and a chocolate cake shot. I did not enjoy the shot but that's on me. I think i was expecting something more milky made with cream based liquor. The calamari was was good. The shrimp had that fried oil taste. Nice spot and good for happy hour.

We came in for the seafood boil and we are so glad we did. The clam chowder was amazing and Heraldo was so attentive! Definitely making it a stop when we're back again.

When we arrived the place was empty and we had to find someone to seat us etc The food was amazing and came out piping hot! I would recommend and would go again!

We had a large group- the best dishes for me were the Cioppini and the clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl. The onion rings were flavorful too. Everyone else had sandwiches and fries which were good but I am thinking the seafood soups here are the best. The service was friendly and excellent- our waiter really kept on top of our table's needs. We will definitely come by here for a drink and the soups again. Plus the wood paneling and carved ceiling was really cool.

This wasn't my first visit, and it's always a bit of a quirky experience. The vendors outside try to pull you in by talking down the competition, which makes for an odd atmosphere. That said, the service itself is solid, and the Dungeness crab sandwich was excellent--fresh, generous, and at $20, a great value. My only gripe is that the tip is automatically added, which I'm not a fan of.

Crab Cakes. Not terrible, Not Great.

We gave Nicks a shot on St Patrick's Day around lunch time despite the reviews. We ordered crab cakes, clam chowder and wings. I'm on vacation so I'm not gonna waste my time ripping them apart, but the reviews are not false. Of the three items we ordered the wings were the best, which is not good for a spot on fisherman's wharf where seafood is king. Crab cakes were 5 out of 10, clam chowder was super thick and chalky, The clam chowder is very not recommended. The drinks were good. So just stop by for a drink at the spacious bar for a beverage then head over for to Scomas for your seafood indulgences.

This place has that perfect North Beach neighborhood bar chill and welcoming vibe, like a classy dive where you can watch the game or just chat for hours. The cocktails are next level: tried a few that tasted like grown-up root beer floats and Orange Julius vibes, super creative and balanced without being too sweet. They've got solid classics too if you're not feeling adventurous. Walls are covered in cool local SF photos and art that make it feel proudly San Franciscan. Only street parking available but there's plenty of bus lines that drop you off in ths neighborhood & there's no food served onsite, but they brought in complimentary Golden Boy pizza for the game watch party which quickly went into my stomach after downing a few cocktails. Staff was friendly and on point, and it's great for locals or anyone wanting elevated drinks without the pretension. Perfect pre-dinner spot in North Beach or for a full night out.

Memories. Oy the…read morenights we spent here back when it was the Washington Square Bar & Grill. And then Cobalt. It wasn't just pre-pandemic, it was when north beach was uber community oriented. *sigh* Those days may be gone, but petite lil's is filling that sense of community void rather nicely. As soon as we walked in, we perched ourselves at the bar, & we were made to feel nothing but welcome. I had H with me, & she & I tend to do that thing where we "don't know" what we should order, as if we've never been to a bar before, even though god knows, we have. We are many things, but ingénues are not one of them. No doubt it would be a tired game for a bartender lacking in prowess, personality, & patience. Fortunately for us, you won't find that kind of bartender here. Because we are not ingénues, our days of ordering silly things (fireball), "insider" things (green chartreuse, fernet), or just stupid things (fireball) are happily behind us. We are Napa Valley & wine lovers so of course we naturally default to wine. Another truth that makes that initial game of "what should we get" so ridiculous. After carefully perusing the impressive menu, we did order wine, but we noted the martini and Negroni options. Hungry? The menu is full of stellar options; caviar, oysters (both raw or broiled), steak frites, charcuterie...even French omelettes. They do a "booth steak," a 32oz tomahawk! $99 (limit only 2 per night). We had such a great time, instead of meeting up with my husband elsewhere when he got off work as planned, we had him join us here. I saw his face light up when he saw that tomahawk on the menu so needless to say it's now on the list. It's a huge space (always was), so it's perfect for a night out w all your peeps, & any game day/night. It was our first time, but we were treated like we've been here a hundred times. Everyone was. Incredible menu. Great vibe. We will be back for dinner and... everything. 5 stars

It was a giant fuss on an absolute cold March night and the owner just seems to make a sport out of embarrassing patrons who were trying to keep warm. We did a little weekend day drinking at Legacy and when we saw customers sporting their Frisco gear, we knew we were in the right place! Sorry but it's Frisco, The Sco, or The City, it's NEVER San Fran. For those who disagree, tell that to Mac Dre, Too $hort, and the Hells Angels. Plus, Herb Caen eventually took back his "Frisco" stance. Anyhow, after Legacy, I would move on to watch the midnight ballerinas on Broadway and end the night smashing faces with a Golden Boy!
