AMAZING!!! Dined at this place while on vacay and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious! My taste buds were dancing! We had the deep fried platter which was very delicious. Packed full of flavor and enough to share with three people. I also had the clam chowder which was very tasty. Not fishy and full of clams. Perfect comfort food that warmed my belly on a chilly San Francisco day. The service was very friendly and our server was very attentive. The ambiance was very casual, laid back and comfortable. We were seated next to the fireplace which made it even more cozy I could have taken a nap right there. I can't comment on the parking because we actually walked there from the cruise terminal. The NBA basketball finals are upon us and also World Cup fever and it seems like New York are going crazy about the Knicks. It also seems there are some Nicks fans in Pacifica. The Nick fans I speak of in Pacifica are Nicks Rockaway restaurant next to Sea Breeze Motel. Nicks Rockaway restaurant in Pacifica often gets confused with the one in the big city. There is a place in SF where seafood is served and it's located in tourist trap of San Francisco also called Nicks. The original location restaurant is where all the crabs stands are located on Taylor street in Fisherman's Wharf. They have added additional restaurant a few blocks over a few years ago and it's also called Nick's Lighthouse and is located next to Argonaut Hotel. On a Spring stroll I landed at Nick's Lighthouse on Jefferson street. This restaurant feels more like a pub which serves seafood. I usually don't do much pub food but since I have ate at Nicks in San Francisco for decades I gave it a whirl. Inside there is a full bar along with I ordered the Bay Shrimp sandwich and it came with fries. The baby shrimps were tasty and it had flavor and didn't require extra lemon squeezes. The bread was soft and fresh. The fries were a bit crispy. They have a full bar with wine and mixed drinks and beer on tap. Nicks was established 1934 in San Francisco and is worth checking out. World Cup has already started it's a global "sport "played in a field and the NBA Finals are Knicks vs. Spurs are played on a "court" you will see World Cup and NBA Finals with team fans "support "from the bars by the waterfront by the Piers to the bar by the "SF Port" The World Cup is here and some put in their team "picks"and also have their teams in the NBA Finals like San Antonio Spurs and the "New York Knicks "you enter a seafood restaurant and bar in SF which the building is made of "bricks "you can squeeze that sour lemon on the seafood not in Pacifica but in SF on Jefferson street at Nicks" read more

Let's start with the bangers that are playing through the speakers! All the hits! Came here on a Sunday evening, location was pretty empty. We ordered 2 crab boil combo specials- asked for the soup early, he brought one soup, not the other- kinda weird but no big deal. Clam chowder was good. Beef ramen- we took the meat out because it was like cheap, fatty chunks- which I understand for broth flavor- very chewy though . The crab boil deal is actually really good, half a crab, not cracked so it is a lot of work, but worth the deal. Clam linguine was really good and so were the side of garlic noodles that we got . Was walking along in San Fransisco and saw a sign outside that they were open for breakfast. We entered and found an empty dining room but were greeted right away by a server. We had the place to ourselves the whole meal. I got a classic pancake egg combo plate and everything tasted amazing. I really love the detail of building, the ceilings, the furniture, a large fireplace that was lit. It's got a moody vibe that I really enjoyed. read more

At first, I liked the view outside the restaurant more than the food, but I came back specifically for the food. I came back a second time for the fish and chips with a side of clam chowder. They both helped fish and chips became my new favorite seafood dish. The coating around the fish was light and crispy, while the clam chowder was extra rich and flavorful. The fish was extra moist and flaky. The clam chowder was also extra rich, but without being too ultra heavy and thick. The staff brought the food out in a timely fashion and checked on my table the right amount. This place for a nice chilled out meal, plus the view of the waterfront is a nice touch. read more

Went here to meet with some friends. There was only one server/bartender available so it was quite a wait to get our orders in. They were very nice and got us free shots! Surprisingly, their Donkatsu was very delicious (more shocked because this is mostly a seafood spot!). Lastly, they make their drinks strong! We had a large group- the best dishes for me were the Cioppini and the clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl. The onion rings were flavorful too. Everyone else had sandwiches and fries which were good but I am thinking the seafood soups here are the best. The service was friendly and excellent- our waiter really kept on top of our table's needs. We will definitely come by here for a drink and the soups again. We gave Nicks a shot on St Patrick's Day around lunch time despite the reviews. We ordered crab cakes, clam chowder and wings. I'm on vacation so I'm not gonna waste my time ripping them apart, but the reviews are not false. Of the three items we ordered the wings were the best, which is not good for a spot on fisherman's wharf where seafood is king. Crab cakes were 5 out of 10, clam chowder was super thick and chalky, The clam chowder is very not recommended. The drinks were good. So just stop by for a drink at the spacious bar for a beverage then head over for to Scomas for your seafood indulgences. read more

Came to Nick's because Cappruos was closed, when we walked in the place looked quite nice, but the music was playing very loudly and we could barely hear each other over it. When we got our food and a carb sandwich came looking like a faux crab. And the buyer didn't have any taste and was over cooked. the fish and chips, it wasn't seasoned at all and wasn't enjoyed. the only decent thing we got was the salmon, but you can't hold a restaurant with one dish. the waiter was sure to check on us. Place was empty during happy hour and they had the front door wide open, letting in a very cold breeze. Everything was just ok. Service was decent, but we were one of two tables in the restaurant. Dark and cold inside, although they did have good music playing. Have been to a dozen places on the Wharf that are way better, both in drinks and in food. They also do this thing where the menu says one price, but the receipt says different. We had a "30 dollar bucket of beer, which was 5 beers, and it rang up as $32. We also got 4 "seven dollar happy hour tap beers" that rang up as around $31 rather than 28. Walk down the street, much better options. read more

Just a word of warning if you're hungry and trying to decide between the French Toast combo plate and a stack of blueberry pancakes don't be mislead by the claim that there are 2 pieces of French toast with the combo plate. This restaurant is a quiet, unassuming spot in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, however it is something to stop at for sure.
