Drinks and a view of Alcatraz.

Came in to enjoy the amazing views. Trish (Trisha?) did an incredible job getting our drinks and went beyond to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and it had large delicious shrimps.

not going to lie I was super excited about coming here because of all the Instagram videos I've seen my friends wanted to come here so we came with my bbf one night we waited about 10 minutes outside. There was another group in front of us and we were seated in the booth in the corner. The set up was OK, but I was expecting a lot more when it came to the bars we spoke with the bartender and we pretty much asked him like how was your day stuff and like that it was not taken well at all. He didn't suggest no drinks we weren't really greeted. However, we had a great server. He was super fantastic and the only reason why I gave this place a three stars he answered a lot of questions and everything that we wanted to know was right there when we needed service but the host and the bartender should've been nicer this is definitely a sports bar/club kind of vibe the lighting was very club like and this def a hibachi style noodles we went there around dec for timeline reference

This restaurant sits at the very end of Pier 39, which means you'll need to make your way through a stretch of tourist chaos to get there--but the reward is worth it. The views are incredible, with clear views of the bay and "The Rock" Alcatraz. The concept of Fire + Ice is fun and interactive, though during peak hours, expect long lines both to fill your somewhat small bowls and to get them cooked. The selection of proteins was a bit odd--ranging from scallops and steak to hot dogs and hamburgers--which may not suit all tastes. The flavor sauce section is also overwhelming, with dozens of options and little guidance, making it difficult to know what pairs well. The bar staff was very friendly and welcoming, which helped balance the experience. However, the cooks at the grill seemed rushed and not particularly approachable. Cleanliness could also use a little attention. Despite the quirks, the location and views give this place strong potential. With a few adjustments, it could become a much more enjoyable spot for both tourists and locals alike.

    Our view

The waiter was incredibly friendly and great (Nikhil). He was apologetic that they weren't able to offer any mixed drinks at the bar since apparently the bartender left (this was at 6:45pm). They still offered beer and wine. Ambiance was fun and you couldn't ask for a better view. Stunning. Food was good. It is kind of like a buffet of uncooked stuff that you fill a bowl with and then bring it to the cook. One downside is there is only one giant skillet so if your vegetarian, your food might be cooked 5 inches away from a pile of seafood or steak and the cook uses the same utensils to handle all food (we asked if he was able to use a non-seafood covered spatula for the vegetarian with us and he said no). A few of the ingredients from my concoction did end up getting mixed into my wife's food. Overall it is a fun experience and my kids LOVED it. I wish I could have gotten a few margaritas to enjoy with the view but alas, maybe next time.

We are from Oakland and rarely visit the city. Saw this place on tik tok and we had to try it and can say we will definitely be coming back ! Food was delicious and the cook was amazing !! He kept small conversations and made us enjoy our time there. Went there during lunch time so it was fairly empty, host was very kind and the waiter was very attentive. Can't wait to bring visiting family here !

Delicious, great views, and a good happy hour menu with large portions and good pricing.

Wanted to try this newly open place. And it was ok. They do have a good variety of proteins along with a variety of carbs. They have a good variety of vegetables too. They need to put signs up on where the line begins it's very confusing. Also the 2 guys cooking the food are NOT good they do alot of personal talking and the one guy does WAY to much banging of the spatula flipping it high smacking it down and who can do it the hardest. I noticed the other people were getting annoyed with it too. The cooks just spent way too much time banging their spatula. Hardly saw out server i had to flag another server for some more iced tea. I dont think I'll come back. Maybe later down the road.

Is bar seating available? Also, am a bit confused as I was under the understanding that the restaurant took the former spot of the Hard Rock Restaurant, which occupied space at the front entrance to the Pier, not the back of it?

They do have a bar section as you enter the restaurant. Im not sure what space they took, but they are located in a hidden spot. We usually pass by the Bubba Gump restaurant to get to Fire+iCE. Great views of the water though!

They've got solid classics too if you're not feeling adventurous. Walls are covered in cool local SF photos and art that make it feel proudly San Franciscan. Only street parking available but there's plenty of bus lines that drop you off in ths neighborhood & there's no food served onsite, but they brought in complimentary Golden Boy pizza for the game watch party which quickly went into my stomach after downing a few cocktails. It wasn't just pre-pandemic, it was when north beach was uber community oriented. *sigh* Those days may be gone, but petite lil's is filling that sense of community void rather nicely. As soon as we walked in, we perched ourselves at the bar, & we were made to feel nothing but welcome. I had H with me, & she & I tend to do that thing where we "don't know" what we should order, as if we've never been to a bar before, even though god knows, we have. We are many things, but ingénues are not one of them. No doubt it would be a tired game for a bartender lacking in prowess, personality, & patience. Fortunately for us, you won't find that kind of bartender here. Because we are not ingénues, our days of ordering silly things (fireball), "insider" things (green chartreuse, fernet), or just stupid things (fireball) are happily behind us. We are Napa Valley & wine lovers so of course we naturally default to wine. Another truth that makes that initial game of "what should we get" so ridiculous. After carefully perusing the impressive menu, we did order wine, but we noted the martini and Negroni options. Hungry? The menu is full of stellar options; caviar, oysters (both raw or broiled), steak frites, charcuterie...even French omelettes. They do a "booth steak," a 32oz tomahawk! $99 (limit only 2 per night). We had such a great time, instead of meeting up with my husband elsewhere when he got off work as planned, we had him join us here. I saw his face light up when he saw that tomahawk on the menu so needless to say it's now on the list. It's a huge space (always was), so it's perfect for a night out w all your peeps, & any game day/night. It was our first time, but we were treated like we've been here a hundred times. Everyone was. Incredible menu. Great vibe. We will be back for dinner and... everything. 5 stars
