My food had mold in it!!! I got some chicken strips from there (should of known better) and as I start to eat it, i noticed it tasted funny. I looked deepEr at the chicken and noticed a few fuzz balls on it! I went back and told them and they seem to not even care. It was like I was lying when I even showed it to them. All there chicken strips are in a warming bin, so the others were contamintated too, but they didnt care. They still left the strips there to sell. I will try to attached a picture so you can see. Best Fresh Turkey Sandwich I've Ever Had. I absolutely cannot find a deli that serves fresh turkey sandwiches quite like E-Z Stop, available everyday. It's been almost 5 years of searching. What makes this place rare is the whole, fresh turkey they roast and slice up every day. I've seen other places that have sliced turkey or fresh turkey but not fresh turkey meat cut from the whole turkey right in front of you. The guys that work here are perverts. For the last 6 years they have been making suggestive comments to me, but last week totally crossed the line. I asked one of the guys, "Can you do something for me?" and he responded, "Baby, I'll do you anytime, anywhere." The people here are extremely raciest and made disrespectful comments for being jewish. And i quote they said, "We would never higher anyone from, the race I am ( i do not want to include it in the review,". I was extremely offended. I've only bought beer and cigs from EZ. They've got a great variety of beer, but a lot of it is old stuff that has been sitting there a long while (i.e. Summer Brews still available in February). They charge way too much for beer, probably the main reason a decent amount of it is old. I always bought breakfast from this place on uber eats, but today's the first time I came by at 10pm looking for food to eat. Everywhere on Shattuck was closed and technically the deli was closed here too, but Salem hooked it up with a BBQ chicken sandwich. Quite a lifesaver, will definitely come back here again. I'd heard rave reviews for this place from my coworkers for weeks, so when I finally decided to try one of their sandwiches, I had high hopes. I wasn't disappointed! From the street, the place looks a little sketchy, and I'd walked in once before only to walk out when I saw how cramped it was. But on a cold Wednesday evening, after working all day and with only two hours before I was due at my other job, I stopped into E-Z Stop and ordered a sandwich. I ordered the special that day, which was a hot pastrami sandwich (no mayo) on a wheat roll. The guy who made my sandwich was so cheerful and smiley, and we chatted about the weather for awhile. The guy who rung me up was equally as pleasant, and when I asked him how much the strawberries were, he said, "eh, how about ninety-nine cents?" In the end, I walked out having paid just over $5 for a big sandwich and what was easily $3 worth of strawberries. Success. Unfortunately, I didn't get to the eat the sandwich right away. It sat in my locker at the gym for about an hour before I got to try it at work later that evening. By the time I unwrapped it, some of the bread was a little soggy, but it was still pretty warm. And the pastrami was DELICIOUS. I'm not even a big pastrami fan, but this sandwich was spectacular! The right blend of flavors and so fresh. I can't wait to go back and try another sandwich, which I'll eat more promptly so as to avoid the mushy bread issue. So good and pretty cheap, too! read more

I've had one sandwich here, and though it was so very cheap, I vowed that this place will only serve as a candy/soda/beer stop for when I want to live dangerously and sneak things into the movies. I find it suspicious and worrisome that the tuna salad and egg salad are constantly on the specials list.
