We have been customers of Wind River Environmental for many years, so, when we needed to schedule a Title 5 inspection, we called them first. No one from WR ever called me back, but, after repeated phone calls, some anonymous WR employee emailed me a very expensive quote with instructions to contact our local health board to collect the information they needed. Offended that no live person ever returned my calls and surprised by how expensive the inspection would be, I saw a coupon from Rosano-Davis and decided to give them a call. Linda answered after the first ring, concisely explained the process and very reasonable pricing, scheduled the inspection, and said that Sue would collect all the info they needed from the Board of Health. That was only the beginning of the outstanding service they gave us. The day of the inspection, Christian (whom we later discovered was the owner's son!) showed up with a smile and led his crew through a time-efficient and thorough septic inspection. He was literally "down in the trenches" with his crew. When they finished, they cleaned up so well, our property looked like they had never even been here. The tech seemed like a good guy, but I strongly recommend being home during service so you don't get shortchanged. This year's inspection revealed the tank was on the verge of a backflow situation--the first time in over a decade. Owner Paul wasn't there during the service but stood by what was seen on video. Sometimes I wait 7 minutes just for a coffee at Dunkin'. Whatever the reason--maybe the truck was almost full--I feel like I got hosed.

I can't recommend Simmons and especially Derek any higher. He is meticulous in laying out and building the system layer by layer. We have a 1500 gal septic tank thru one distribution box into a 20'x40' leaching field. Watching him use the excavator to clear , level , lay rocks, and leeching pipe is a sight to behold. It's like an extension of his hands. Lastly the price was very reasonable compared to other quotes received. It's amazing how wide the range was. We have a 3 bedroom split level with 1.5 baths. I reached out via yelp messenger and got a response within the hour and they dispatched at technician over within 2 hours. The technician arrived Joey, and was professional and courteous. He identified the blockage and setup some tarps around the sink area to minimize dirt. He snaked the drain very thoroughly and resolved the blockage. Joey was chill whole time, explained some of the possible root causes behind blockage and preventative measures. The flat fee was way cheaper than the ridiculous profit charged by roto rooter last time. Will definitely use john sewes for future plumbing work.

The answering service assured me they would contact the on-call technician and have someone dispatched immediately. Two hours passed with no response. When I called back, I was told the technician decided it could wait until morning because they could not find the tank covers. No one ever contacted me to verify that information. Had they done so, they would have learned that all tank covers had already been uncovered and illuminated, making access easy. I was then told the technician would call me directly to discuss next steps. That call never came. After waiting and following up multiple times, I was forced to find another solution on my own. Advertising 24/7 emergency service sets an expectation that emergency calls will be answered and addressed. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.

As the other reviewer posted I wish I had Mike Walsh come and inspect our sewer line prior to buying our current home. Mike would have found the tree root blockage that was blocking our sewer line and prevented us from paying for the problem a few weeks after moving. Once we realized there was a problem Mike came highly recommended and lived up to his reputation as an honest, knowledgeable and reliable professional. That my friends is difficult to find these days in the industry. Mike serviced our sewer line after we had a back up from tree roots. Mike brought out a water cannon and cleared the roots in the line and then inspected it with a camera. Mike provided us with follow up advice to help mitigate the problem and keep our line clear for the future. All around great guy and great company.

I called Mike after another drain company couldn't cut thru the roots with a standard cutting bit, no offense to them but they didn't have adequate equipment to cut thru the roots. Mike cut thru the roots like butter with his hydro jet set up. Insist on hydro the first time around and save yourself the hassle of multiple plumbers. Most recently, Mike came thru again with busting thru another clog at my other home, what a life saver. I can't recommend Mike enough, super great to work with and great demeanor.
