We've used them for pumping/maintenance and to evaluate the leech field when a tree fell over on it. This is the first time we had a real issue. Over the weekend the alarm for the septic pump started sounding. We did some basic troubleshooting at home and verified the water level was high but with some capacity so we avoided using the drains as much as possible and called first thing Monday. Rich was already working on a job in Hanover and was here just a few hours after we called. He walked me through the control box and the testing that he was doing. I let him do his work and he reported back that one of the floats was acting up and literally needed to shake it to get it to turn on. He recommended replacing at least that pump and to consider replacing the others as they work in tandem. They were $110 each for materials but the labor wouldn't really change whether he replaced one or all 3. I asked if it would also make sense to replace the pump given that it is 9 years old and I saw most pumps have a lifespan om 10-12 years. He talked me out of that. He explained that the pumps are expensive and the one I had is likely between $1,500-1,800 and he never recommends replacing pumps proactively. Use it until it dies and while he has seen them go in the 10-12 year range he has seen them go much longer. So squeeze as much time out of it as possible. When Rich got everything pumped out to the right level he took the time to show me the water levels within the chamber so if I ran into this again I would have a reference on what "normal" and "high" look like. So Rosano Davis came out and was able to get everything fixed the same day I called, gave me the option on the minimum to fix the issue, what he recommended, AND talked me out of spending extra money on replacing the pump unnecessarily. THAT is a company you work with and stay with.

Mike Walsh and company is the best at this business. If you have a clog in your drainage and no…read moreone else can fix it, call these guys ASAP. At one of my properties, Mike saved me from having to dig which would have been a huge cost. I called Mike after another drain company couldn't cut thru the roots with a standard cutting bit, no offense to them but they didn't have adequate equipment to cut thru the roots. Mike cut thru the roots like butter with his hydro jet set up. Insist on hydro the first time around and save yourself the hassle of multiple plumbers. Most recently, Mike came thru again with busting thru another clog at my other home, what a life saver. I can't recommend Mike enough, super great to work with and great demeanor.

As I have told my friends you definitely don't want to need Mr. Walsh's services, but if you need them, he is totally the man to see. Mr. Walsh is honest, extremely knowledgeable and reliable. I did not know a thing about sewer lines before I had occasion to need Mr. Walsh's services. I was buying a house on a private way in Boston. One of my brothers urged me to have the sewer line inspected as part of the home inspection process. Mr. Walsh came highly recommended, so I hired him for the job. I am SO glad I did! The home had major troubles with the sewer line, which the home's seller and his broker were at pains to conceal. Thanks to Mr. Walsh, I was able to make a fully informed decision. I cannot recommend him too strongly - if Yelp let me give ten stars, I would!
