TLDR: don't even think twice, just come here and you'll walk out a new person!! Alexa, what is…read morepain? I was referred here after not one but TWO car accidents that completely left not only my car but also my body destroyed. I've been receiving treatments for 4 months now starting in March (basically beginning of the pandemic) and started on an acute treatment plan where I came in twice a week for a bit and then it became once a week. All I can say is that Sam is a miracle worker!! I went from being sore and constantly feeling discomfort in my hips, back, shoulders, with pain in my left arm and right leg, (I wasn't kidding when I said body was destroyed) to being able to sleep soundly through the night without waking up multiple times from pain or being uncomfortable. I LOVE coming to my appointments, they're the favorite part of my week because I know I'll be able to walk out feeling great. Sam really knows what he's doing; I was introduced to the dry needling technique -- LIFE SAVING! -- and adjusted in the same visits. He asks how you are feeling at the beginning of every appointment and addresses all of your concerns, answers every question you have, and makes you feel like you're a part of the Next Level family! Kelsey and Amy at the front desk are also super friendly and helpful, the exercises I learned for some physical therapy at home for "homework" have definitely aided in my recovery. They also work with you in scheduling and are as flexible as they can given their busy days! I'm now able to work out almost daily and am so glad that I was able to get treatment here! I highly recommend it to ANYONE who is in ANY kind of discomfort.

The team is dedicated to getting you feeling better. It's the best of all worlds - for me, I need a quick fix and to know how to strengthen myself before the next appointment. They are great as long as you do the homework.

Doctor Ikbal is our family doctor. She's one of the best doctors I've met since I moved to the US…read more She's very experienced and professional, she listens to you and pays attention to every single detail. She was the first who detected my son's heart murmur. She also suggested that we change his diet. The results were amazing, my son has so much more energy, he's never tired now! My husband and I would definitely recommend Dr Ikbal to our friends and family!

Dr. Ikbal is shockingly misinformed about nutrition, pushing urban legends that were disproved…read moredecades ago. This is all the more astounding because nutrition was her undergraduate degree. She also doesn't appear to practice evidence-based medicine. After her asking me what I eat in a typical day, she asked, "Where do you get your protein?" (Ugh. The idea that protein is hard to come by is flatly wrong and severely outdated. As Dr. Nestle, chair of the NY University nutrition dept. said, *26* years ago "We never talk about protein anymore, because it's absolutely not an issue, even among children. If anything, we talk about the dangers of high-protein diets. Getting enough is simply a matter of getting enough calories." The DV/RDA is ~8% of calories from protein, while grains are ~13% protein, vegetables 23%, etc.) She then tried to tell me that I had to combine plants foods to get a complete protein. (That was an urban legend promoted by a popular 1971 book, whose author recanted ten years later. The USDA nutrient database shows that individual vegetables, grains, and beans have all essential amino acids, in higher amounts than what we need.) Finally, she said I should eat more fat. I asked if there were science to support the idea that an addition of fat to an otherwise healthy diet improves health outcomes. Her reply was like, "I've been a doctor for 20 years...." Meaning, no science. By the way, she asked why I chose her, and I said that one of her patients wrote in a review about how he was able to get off all his meds for Crohn's Disease. Dr. Ikbal replied that the patient took himself off the meds, it wasn't her doing. Anyway, after hearing so much misinformation in just a brief, limited interaction, I have to wonder what other misinformation Dr. Ikbal is operating on. If you want a physician who practices evidence-based medicine, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. UPDATE: After I left the above review, suddenly DOZENS of glowing 5-star reviews appeared within a few days, about 1/3 of which are from people not even in the Austin area, many not even in the same state, and many of whom have zero other reviews on Yelp. Yelp has understandably moved most of these to the "Reviews Not Recommended" section. Is Dr. Ikbal buying fake reviews? Draw your own conclusions.

BEST. DOCTOR. EVAR…read more An amazing man and doctor. He cares. He listens. He recognizes that you may not have money to give a drug a "try" and gives samples, he remembers your name, your family and the story you told him about a rash you had 7 years ago. He has been recognized by his peers, Texas Monthly and ... me? i have been seeing Dr. Hahn since 99. i have gone thru many life and medical changes. He was there all the way, keeping track, being supportive and not just a doctor that breezes in and out. He takes the time to listen and answer all your questions and is HONEST. his staff is AMAZING. i recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor. don't hesitate if you are looking, make an appointment. You will NOT regret it and will also become a long time patient. /true story.

It's like you're thumbing through some old vinyl, not knowing the era or the genre...just a bit bored and curious. You see one that you have no reason to believe you'll enjoy. You bring out your old turntable....put it on..and...whoa! Dr. Hahn is professional and knowledgeable and is a damn fine Primary Care Physician. He and his staff find time to squeeze me in for my minor emergencies (scratched cornea or needing to spend my flexible spending account dollars in the last week or the year) and attend to my yearly or biannual checkups. Having a staff which makes themselves available is very important. They have an emergency line to call off-hours He tries to understand where I am coming from, both personally and genetically and offers sage direction. He told me that men of my background have a higher risk of heart disease, even though they do not often exhibit signs of obesity. I told him it was because we have smaller diameter arteries in general. He listened. He is definitely a listener, teacher and learner. And he is open. He is my wife's doctor too. When she was pregnant and suffering from hip pains, he prescribed alternate medicines including acupuncture. He didn't quite realize that a quick chiro-adjust was what she needed, but he does have a holistic approach. Which brings me to my next point. He's not god. I think the more mechanical aspects or perhaps some female-specific aspects may be a tad out his realm. That's why you also have specialists. If you're pregnant and have aches and pains, I'd actually recommend going to our midwife, Michelle, first. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/michele-fitzgerald-cpm-austin) But OVERALL, if you're looking for a primary care physician to look after your needs, Dr. Hahn is da man. Just to give you an example of one of my dodgier experiences, pre-Hahn, I recall having to get some blood work prior to marriage per an instruction sheet which originated in puritanical New England, where I was to get married. So, this good 'ole boy Texan doctor read the sheet and noted that he was to have some sort of "discussion about Marriage" with me. This caught us both by surprise. The doctor in question looked at me and said: "Don't screw around on your wife, you probably know the rest". Pretty Crude. Funny, in retrospect, but he just didn't read the moment well. Hahn is a breath of fresh air.
