Good taste, good price! So many different types can choose! Recommend! Ma Po Tofu Ribeye Steak

Are you serious this is hot and sour soup?? With hot oil??

I ordered a hot sour soup on a not busy Monday. Once open the lid, hot oil?? Are you serious? Even I ordered bento, half box soup? especially all food are salty! Keep your money & do not waste right here. Won't be here anymore!

3 item combo with rice

My boyfriend took me here for lunch on a Wednesday because of their lunch specials. I think this place used to be a boba shop and the owners now serve Chinese fast food (3 dish combination with rice, soup, etc.) - and I guess on Wednesdays they have a special where they give you a free green tea along with your combination, soup and bowl of rice. They also seem to sell random knickknacks and stationery ... a little of everything. All in all, it definitely is a pretty cheap place to eat, especially in South El Monte where there aren't too many restaurants. They have the one dish, two dish, or three dish combination and they do change out the variety of dishes each day, I believe. I ended up getting the three item combination for about $5 or $6 which isn't bad at all as it came with a bowl of soup and a cup of green tea. I tried the eggplant, mapo tofu, sweet and sour chicken, and broccoli, but I've also tried their chicken, egg and tomato, and pork knuckle as well. The dishes aren't amazing, but they aren't bad either. They definitely can be compared to the other restaurants that do this type of business except that the portions here seem to be a bit smaller. The soup was tasty, a fair amount of rice was given, and the green tea was pretty on point (a little bit on the sweet side, but it was free). Lots of people coming and going, and that does say a lot since this place isn't in the best location. A pretty big parking lot. I do feel like if you order to-go, you get more food than if you eat there. tl;dr: good place for a quick bite of fast food Chinese style. Food is decent, price isn't bad and the Wednesday special definitely will have me back again. CASH only.

Green te

It's been a little while since I've been to E@Cup I mean I use to come here all the time when I lived closer but since I have moved for a few years now I don't really end up here anymore. But recently I came in with some of my friends to grab a green tea. You can customize your drink by telling the lady how sweet you want your tea to be. Most of the time I'm just not really into anything being sweet so I just say don't add anything extra. I like that taste of bitterness. Parking is really easy for this place. It has never been a problem and service is quick and fast. Only been here for drinks but they do sell food also!!

I randomly choose this chinese restaurant from Yelp because it demonstrates some good photos of food which arouse my appetite. I went there around 12:30 P.M.for my lunch break, and there were a lot of people waiting in line. I see customers are allowed to dine in, and it has tables outside also. All of the employees wear face masks. Since it is my first time, I ask the employee what their special is. I was told the the price for lunch specail were $7.5, $8.5, $9 for a two, three or four items plate respectively. They also have a green or black tea for $1 if you choose to buy aa three or four items plate. I finally chose a four items plate and a green tea for 10 bucks. Compared with Panda Express, their food is more Chinese style, and I think the price is relatively fair regarding to the inflation now. I may go there again for my lunch.

$6.90 w/ a tea on Wed n Sat with a 3 items lunch is a good deal around El monte area..I know Dianna for many years.. it is a quite place to hang around..just avoid lunch rush hour...=]

My 3 item combination

They're doing something right!!! I got there around 12:30 in the afternoon and there was a long line already. The line goes quickly ;) 3 item combination comes with a green tea :) I also ordered a boba milk tea to go. Total came out $8.02. Lady at the cash register is super nice. She waived the two pennies! Ordering is easy. Rice or noodle or half and half. The rest is just a matter of pointing at the food item that you want. Food is delicious. Enough said. Good job E@cup!

Friendly staff who helped me with questions about the drinks. They make their milk teas with non-dairy creamer, and for the latte drinks you have milk options including regular milk, lactose-free milk, soy, or oat. Wide variety of drink options and toppings. Adjustable ice (for cold drinks) and sweetness levels. The drink quality was superb. Very fresh, expertly and carefully crafted. Maximal flavor. Clean store. Small strip mall parking. I'll definitely be back!

It's nestled in a little plaza with minimal parking. Luckily, we went on a weekday and there were at least 2 parking spots open. The shop itself is small-- as soon as you enter, the register is right there with the self service kiosk to the left and the waiting area to the right. Even though there was only 1 party ahead of us, it took around 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since we ordered a lot of drinks. For myself, I was able to try the traditional roasted oolong milk tea with pearl and the hojicha latte-- both at 70% sweet. I have a sweet tooth, so the sweetness was at a perfect level for both. However, I didn't get that much of a strong roasted oolong taste in the milk tea as I've gotten from other boba shops. The hojicha latte was good enough, but also did not have that strong, nutty taste in comparison to others. I am more of a milk tea person, but maybe next time I'll try the honey osthamnthus tea since a lot of people seem to love it!

To order: Can order online, in store with the cashier or there are two kiosks available. Service has always been fine. Never an issue. SIGNATURE DRINKS: Original Thai Tea 4.5/5 70% sweet is sweet enough. 30% for less sweet. Thai Green Milk Tea 4.25/5 Not bad. Thai Red Plum 4.25/5 Kinda like it even though it's acquired taste. Definitely not the kind of drink I would have everyday, but good to have once in a long while. Thai Lemon Tea 2.5-3/5 Trying really hard to like it, but it's very so-so for me. Not my cup of tea. The Butterfly Collection: Honey Lemon Butterly Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Like that it's slightly tart. Flavor/taste is good. Butterfly Pea Milk Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Tastes sweeter than 30% sugar. Could taste the condensed milk. OTHER DRINKS: Yuzu Rose Tea 4.5/5 Bf likes this drink. I have couple sips and thought it was good (would order again). Thai Green Tea Latte 4.25/5 Their Thai Green Tea is pretty good. Probably won't be getting the latte version in the future cuz it comes with Pandan Boba and I'm kinda alright/so-so with it. Lychee Green Tea 4/5 Not bad. Decent.

Josh got the orange original Thai tea at 70% sweetness and it was a very deep Thai tea flavor, which was really yummy. If I were to go again, I would definitely get the green Thai tea and maybe try to bump it down to 70% sweetness... or maybe if it was just a warmer day I would get it still at 100% sweetness and just let the ice melt a little bit. I think 2 drinks was a total of $11- so p good :)

I personally come here on Friday nights and sundays because they are open late. It brings me back to the college days where late night cram sessions and boba tea was all you live on. Everything is still true in my previous review, however I have noticed that the music here is often times super loud, making it hard to work without noise cancelling headphones. I sometimes have a hard time hearing my friend who is often sitting across or right next to me. Other than that, their drinks have been great and I'm so happy about the new Munchie Combo addition to the menu! The combos are super appealing because you can get a drink for essentially another couple dollars, which is a steal if you ask me since most of the time I'm getting a snack. Their app has also been really helpful so I can snag a seat during rush hours without having to wait in line for the kiosk. Overall great spot but be sure to bring some noise cancelling headphones as music played pretty loud.
