This place is located in what used to be Bombay Spice. I really liked Bombay Spice when they first opened, but about a year later I feel like the quality dropped. I think it must've been sold or something, because the guys at the desk changed too.
Anyway, it's the same guys (or at least the same main guy) as Bombay Spice, which is... Not a good thing. I stopped going there because every time I interacted with the guy he was just kind of a dick, and as I said, the food stopped tasting as good.
So I was pretty surprised when I got to this place and saw the same dude behind the counter, barely mumbling a hello. Just like Bombay Spice, there were like three other guys just sitting around, but they at least smile a little bit when you walk in.
I told the guy we were looking for a helmet for my toddler and asked if they had kids' helmets. He mumbled something then asked one of the guys there to hand him a helmet from the shelf, which the other guy ignored. After a second he got it himself.
It was significantly lighter weight than my child's current helmet. It had no packaging except a plastic bag, and the guy was like, welp, here you go. My wife gave me a look and them pointed out that the helmet was cracked in the corner (i.e. completely not usable).
So I was like, this is cracked, and he was like, ok we got others, and put it back on the shelf, and handed me another one, which was clearly an adult-sized helmet. I put it on my kid's head and confirmed this, and then handed it back to him. He wordlessly handed me an identical helmet, which I looked at, and put on the counter and said thanks but no thanks.
At some point he mumbled that the price was $20, I think, for the helmet, so it's cheaper than most places. If you don't mind that your helmet comes out of a plastic bag and probably won't protect your head, this place is maybe for you. I can't speak to their other services. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. read more
