Simply amazing service! It's hard to find a good mechanic you can trust. Ben is the mercedes-benz specialist who went above and beyond to build that trust. For example after he assessed my E320 he left the car up on the jack and literally walked me thru and showed me the areas of interest. The areas that were most critical to fix immediately and what I should be looking towards fixing later down the line based off wear which saved me $$$$. Took my BMW to get my 325i serviced. Got a call that I needed a new water pump and that the fuel injection needed cleaning. Estimate... $1900. I called Accent the BMW specialist in Lawndale. They quoted me $1400 on the phone. I confirmed they use new BMW parts not aftermarket parts, as Dynamic Performance (Richard)tried to lead me to believe was the only way they could charge $1400 for the job they just quoted me $1900 for. Needless to say, I picked up my car from Dynamic and drove it over to Accent. They sent me pics and videos of work being completed. Get a call. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY WATER PUMP!!! I had a big leak in one of my hoses. Total bill: $425. If you want an honest, reliable mechanic...STAY AWAY from Dynamic Performance and GO TO Accent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I've been going to this shop for nearly 10 years. When I finally bought a newer car they looked it over for me first. They always have loaner cars for me to drive around in, they always call me to make sure I want the services I need and they are a million times cheaper than the dealer. My warranty was about to expire and they found a few things for me to take my car to the dealer and have fixed for free under my warranty! They didn't have to do that. All the guys seem really nice and they wash my car!! Can't complain about that. read more

I took my 09 ML to have my oil done a few years back. I had my reserves not going to the dealer, but poor service and high prices from two dealers drove me to try dynamic performance. My service guy is Mike and he is one of the owners. They had cars everywhere so I dropped it off and went to work. When I got to my office it was done, I was floored. Also they checked my brakes over and said I had 70% on them, one dealer told me they were at 15%. Mike eventually did change my brakes (30,000 miles later) with Mercedes parts at a fraction of the price. They have always been honest, fast and fair. Went in for a quote today, got help from Ben. Was the most knowledgeable mechanic I've met as far as what was causing issues and how to get them fixed. Knew about every recall and issue at every number of miles on my specific year 335i BMW. Keep in mind I've been to 10 different dealerships and aftermarket shops over the life I've owned BMWs. Pricing was straight forward and he only recommended what was needed. Also specialize in Mercedes which had a lot of customers coming them for. Serviced my 2004 BMW X5 there while the car was under the extended warranty and asked them to fix few problems I noticed only if it is covered by warranty. They replaced everything they thought would be covered without getting a confirmation from the insurance company and charged me for all repairs (most of them were not required) I ended up paying ~$4K. They are trying to get you in by advertising $99 oil changes and once you get in, they are trying to sell you expensive repairs you do not need. Very dishonest, trying to rip you off. Also watch for you license plate cover. Thsy would replace your original one with theirs without asking your permission. Avoid at all costs!!! read more

I had an appointment scheduled at the Mercedes Service Center to have a sound I was hearing around my wheel structure checked out and drove past DP service and repair and on a whim gave them a call before I went to the dealership for what I knew would be a day long process ending with high costs. Mike Stewart answered the phone and told me to come right in (it was 4pm on a Friday). With in a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem and quoted me the repair cost (which was 50% less than dealership). While my car was being serviced he called to tell me two belts which he said had been recalled by Mercedes needed to be replaced and offered to take it to Mercedes for repair. I had heard the chirping noise around the engine myself and was thrilled he offered to take it in as he speaks there language, wouldn't get the run around and it saved me time. I received a call sooner than I had expected to tell me my car was all finished. Great customer service, no hassle and fair pricing. I'll take my car there for all my servicing needs going forward. read more

I called and was given an appointment the next day. Five minutes after arriving for my appointment, my car was in the bay. The service I received was prompt, thorough, and competitively priced. Itook my 2002 BMW 745i there some time ago for computer problems. They said they would replace the computer with a rebuilt one for $3,500.00. They did not replace the computer, but only trid to reboot the existing computer. So within months I had the same problems that I had when I took the car in. Granted my car had lots of problems, but they were not honest about the work they were contracted to do. I will not go there again. read more

I brought my 1985 Mercedes 380SL there because it failed the smog check not because of emissions but because the idle was set too high. I took it to Dynamic and they said that they could not reset the idle and that I needed a couple of parts like the ignition control unit and the idle control valve. They told me that because the car is so old the parts I needed were like $800 a piece and it would "cost me $2400 to get the car to be legal." I decided to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion and the other place I took it to adjusted the timing and only charged me $120 for labor. It passed the smog check the second time. I would suggest going somewhere else especially if you are a woman. read more

Three, including myself had bad experiences at a major dealership for Mercedes. One had inherited his car from his dad who had always brought his car there. I have the same sentiment as Toi H. I was bringing my Mini Cooper S here for maintenance after the warranty expired. The first couple of times things were easy - oil change, nothing more. I was also told I'd need a new clutch soon. That advice was repeated the next time I went in. But the most recent appointment there was no mention of needing a new clutch (nothing to indicate a bad clutch had ever happened to me), but there were other 'leaks' that needed to be addressed that were to total over $700. My gut told me it was bullshit, so I said no thanks and took the car elsewhere for a free inspection 2 weeks later. The new place said there are no such leaks at all, but found a more serious leak (and they showed it to me) and I had them take care of it. That leak should have been so obvious to the guys at Dynamic Performance. Shame on you. If you continue to treat customers like this you'll be out of business soon. And I sure won't be recommending your shop to anyone. read more

Nay, Nay, Nay! Paid for a scheduled maintenance (about $300) which is a serious list of things to be done on the car as well as checks and basically just got an oil change and lied too. I could have done the oil change at my home, however, I only came to Dynamic Performance to have a certified MB mechanic do the work that otherwise the dealer would do, it would only be cheaper, yet preserve my warranty. Nay, Nay, Nay! I asked all the right questions, spoke to several people there, dropped off my car to have the service, picked it up, took it home not thinking to check the work as they seemed honest, then I looked to see if the all the work that they said they would do and that is required as well as recommended by MB and it was not. I would avoid this business like the Black Plague! They tell you what you want to hear and then after you pay, they all lie to you and not do the work that an average person wont notice. They talk the talk, but don't walk the walk! Please take your money to another repair shop or to the dealer which costs a little more. Those of you who have been going there for sometime or just went. Check your car. Trust me! Check for new brake fluid, it should be clear, not brown. FYI, car makers tell you to replace your brake fluid for a few reasons, for one, it get dirty which can wear the parts faster, but most important is brake fluid loves to absorb moisture, so you can have a little water in your fluid and it take it toll over time and gets into all the components in the system. Check your filters to see if you got new one, the ones that you paid for, this is a very common practice for shops to not replace them and if you notice they will say, oh it were out and it is on order but someone should have told you that, we are sorry, that is BS. Look to see if the road dust on your caps have been touched, like if they are clean or have finger prints on them, if they are still dusty, it means they did not bleed your brakes and replace with new fluid or flush your radiator, check your air filters, make sure they are brand new. Check your oil filter to see if it is new or ask for all of your old filters/parts. If you don't believe me, bring the maintenance booklet with you and make sure they agree to do all the work and then do not leave or drop off the car there, stay there and watch them do the work. I spoke to three people in the office there, all of them, are fast talkers, and they all pointed the finger at someone else. I asked if they use OEM parts, I was told yes. The part I did check was cheap aftermarket. read more
