    The red wire looks burnt
    Sandra William N.

Dynamic EcoHome installed panels to my house in 2021. My electric company shut off my solar panels due to a burnt wire discovered. I had requested service and they stated that I live outside their service area. Why in the world would you install OUTSIDE OF YOUR SERVICE AREA?!?! Now they want me to hire an electrician and they will reimburse me for the quote given. I call an electrician that they recommended to reach out to and the electrician stated that they will not touch it because they didn't install it! I highly DO NOT recommend them for solar service. Forgot to mention that they are not willing to "go outside their service area" unless my roof needs to be replaced - then they are happy to come out and charge me $200 per panel to remove and reinstall... so my warranty concerns are if none of their concerns but if I pay them (which I technically already have through install). Ridiculous.

I first contacted Good Faith Energy to help with solar planning for an all-electric house build I was building in Dallas, TX. While the house was still in the pre-drywall phase, I wanted to make sure that anything that could be added in the construction phase to help with solar installation later was done. Good Faith Energy helped me out, and for a nominal fee, they designed an electrical plan and coordinated with the builder on what components would make installation easier in the future. My original plan was to build the house and live in the house for a year to figure out my electricity needs, and then design a solar system around my usage. However, after moving in in early 2025, I decided to proceed with solar installation given my fear that the solar tax credit would be going away soon. I explored several solar companies, but ultimately picked Good Faith Energy. They were familiar with the products I was interested in (REC solar panels, SPAN panels, and Tesla Powerwall 3). They are very involved with the community and post very insightful videos on YouTube. You can tell that their owner and all of the employees are passionate about what they sell and install, and truly care about selecting the right solar system for you. My sales associate with Sammy, who was happy to provide different quotes, and he offered me very good suggestions about things I hadn't thought of. Joe was the engineer that worked on the plans, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient with me. He understood my desire to maximize the number of panels on my roof space, and tried out different ways with the design to maximize solar production. Samantha and Amanda were excellent project managers, who kept me informed throughout the entire project. My install was a bit more complicated than a typical residential system. My house is all-electric, and I have a 320 amp service powering two 200 amp panels. As a result, I ultimately went with a 28.5 kW REC solar panel system powering two separate sets of Tesla Powerwall 3 (5 total). Special shoutout to our electrician Ronnie and the site manager Shane, along with the rest of the Good Faith Energy install team, who battled some of the hottest days this summer to install the project on time. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the result is a very clean install. I live in a conservation district in Dallas, and as a result, I needed approval from the conservation district as well as from the City of Dallas. It took several months to get a permit, but Good Faith Energy had experience with this and knew how to handle it. There was one minor rough patch. We scheduled a city inspection two weeks ahead of schedule, but Good Faith Energy wasn't there where the city inspector came, which generated an immediate red-tag. However, this was ironed out by the next week, and we received a green tag after just one inspection the following week. Since the install, I've had a couple minor issues with the system, but Good Faith Energy was quick to respond and resolve the issues. I have been left with a feeling that this company stands behind their project. In the end, for such a complex and expensive project, I have had an extremely positive experience working with Good Faith Energy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install in DFW.

Getting a full PV system that meets all of the household electrical needs is a big project and I had quotes done by 2 other companies prior to settling on Solartime for my project. They were the most communicative and allowed the most flexibility as well as experience when discussing the ins and outs of brands, solar limitations, and my electric needs. I interfaced heavily with Jason on the front end and he was able to field all of my tedious questions right up until we scheduled the install. Once we got all the paperwork, permitting, financing, and equipment selection out of the way installation was quite speedy and I was informed and involved each step along the way. Gregory was the team lead for the onsite installation and has a real passion for solar and a wealth of knowledge to field any questions. He did a very professional job and while install took the better part of one day and a portion of another he was patient with any questions or issues which came up along the way. I highly recommend solartime, as even in the event they may not be your final selection they are all well versed in the inter-workings on the industry and if nothing else you will gain a more clear understanding of how your system should work and how much it should cost you.

Planning and communication needs work. I never knew when the work was to be done until the night before. The wrong parts or lack of parts on the first install date was a bad sign. Then the second install date and still not able to operate on solar until 2 weeks later - yet they want their payment right away. The worst was when I lost power to the house after the transfer box was installed. This was on a Friday afternoon. I called to ask for help but had to send an email for support. Support said it wasn't their issue, but it was, a bad breaker. I had to find and pay for my own electrician to fix it. I was reimbursed but that didn't excuse the lack of support. The 24-hour support team finally responded back to me 5 days later after I sent the video of the bad breaker arcing. I could go on but I think you get the idea. There are some good people there but as a company, it's just not the quality and service expected for the price paid. Value is directly related to the price vs quality mentioned.

I asked a lot of questions and it felt like the sales rep harassed me for the next 2 months to get solar which was something I wanted to do but had other projects to complete like my roof and A/C. Initially my roof was fine enough to get the panels but that roof had some years on it and with all the storms, damage was inevitable. It was one of the topics the sales rep and I talked about. The sales rep assured me they can remove them at no cost - mind you I asked several times for clarification! I still held off. Finally 3 months in they sent a regional manager and I followed through with installing and still had a lot of hesitation. I gave a good review too but it wasn't long before I realized that review would come back to haunt me. Now that I'm having my roof finally repaired (15 months after solar install because I also got my AC unit replaced first ) - I'm told it will cost me $6k to remove the panels. I'm out of pocket with the roof and now I'm told since insurance isn't covering it I'll have to pay that amount to remove the panels to get my roof repaired. The roofers won't touch my roof without them being taken off and now I'm in a situation and about to ruin my credit because I will have to default on the loan because I won't be paying for panels I can't use because I can't afford to put them back on! Of course Rise Power doesn't care they got their money! These solar panels aren't that great and with insurance companies denying claims that means any time you have a roofing issue you have to pay for the removal of the panels and the roof! This is something that Rise Power really needed to be transparent about because that would have sealed the deal for me that panels were not for me at this time. I'm sooo disappointed and frustrated.

To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

I believe the other negative reviews to be spot-on. Be very, very careful with this company…read more They came in to give an estimate for one repair, but that turned into a big, scary report of all the issues, pointing strongly at a completely new system. Ok. They had photos. Their explainations sounded reasonable, especially when coupled with the photos they quickly flashed through on their tiny phone. So, I told them that we would likely move forward, but I require two things - a copy of all of those photos, and two estimates, one for what they wanted to sell me, and a separate itemized repair list. I got two estimates - one for the original they were pushing, and another for something MORE expensive. No itemized list of repairs. No photos. When I reached out in email, they wanted a phone call. There is almost always a good reason for not wanting to leave a record via email. But, $15,000-ish for a new 5 ton unit, with no new duct work... yeah, you'd better *really* back that up. They could not (would not?) I now have to suspect that thier photos were doctored in some way, maybe even not all of my unit. Who knows? Who looks inside, like that? And, I suspect their reason for not sending me copies of those were dubious. They also pressured the sale claiming that "prices go up next week for Summer." Sha. Ok. This was in March. Good luck with these tactics. Not for me. If you want to give them enough rope to hang themselves to find out for yourself, just act ignorant and as excited for a new unit as they suddenly are to sell you on it. You'll see. It'll cost you $120 for the scammy diagnosis, though.
