Larry was not diligent nor timely in replying to messages and calls about updates (parts, timeframes, why he/others were running late, etc). This was especially problematic as we had to accommodate our infant daughter's schedule. While he promised a timely job and ultimately delivered on that front, the job itself was not professional. Extra drill holes were left visible on a couple cabinet doors, sawdust and pencil marks were left all over, a cabinet door was installed ajar and not fixed, mismatched pegs for the cabinets were used (until we pointed them out and asked him to fix them) and a shelf was missing and ultimately never replaced correctly (after SIX weeks of politely asking him to come back to fix the error, he ultimately pulled a showroom shelf and hadn't thought to measure it properly). Our kitchen looks beautiful overall and functions fine, but these inconveniences and the lack of professionalism on his part would not garner any recommendations from me.

Larry at MUD, inc. has proven to be the most reliable of all the contractors I have worked with. Never have I had a contractor show up every single day to knock out a remodel quickly. He is true to his word, three weeks start to finish (I really expected 6 weeks), and right on budget. I did request and authorize two change orders, and they were fairly priced and completed quickly. Now, we do not have a high end home, but some of the projects he has completed would fall in that category...... but we wanted it done correctly and fast, correctly and on schedule and on budget. I highly recommend that you contact him to quote on your next remodeling job. Ours was a bathroom tile & shower faucet job, adding a shower to a small bathroom, and laminate flooring demo and install. They clean up after themselves each day, and treat it as if it were their own home. No one is perfect (although so many of us think we are), so you need to offer a little grace in the small oversights......

We remodeled a bedroom into a new master bathroom and right at the finish line we were asked to host a graduation party the day after the bathroom was scheduled to be complete. Glass is that last thing to go in. I found Gilmar Glass, gave Gilbert a call and he was at my house the same day to measure the area and quote me a price. Needless to say, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PHENOMENAL! Most glass companies I contacted told me there was no way it could be done. I called Gilbert from Gilmar Glass and not only did he make it happen, he made it happen with a price tag I still can't believe. I was quoted $350 for the mirror and $1200 for a frame-less shower door and partial enclosure by another company Gilbert's prices were at a fraction of the cost INCLUDING INSTALLATION! WHAT?! All the glass is up and we couldn't be happier. Call Gilbert, trust me you will be so glad you did. Don't believe me? Call 3-4 other glass companies for prices and then call Gilbert, I guarantee he will beat all of their prices.

Like many other Yelpers, I had a serious issue with trying to set up an appointment with him that he would actually show up to. I would set an appointment at 6:00pm and waited until midnight for him since my project had a strict deadline, I was desperate for these appointments.. This happened four times, as he would ignore my number as well as my project managers. Funny enough, when we called from other numbers, he would answer. When I finally was able to secure an appointment with them and have him provide a service in my studio, he did extremely sloppy work. The glass was installed, crooked. In the process of installation, he also ruined several surrounding walls. When I brought this to his attention, he did nothing to rectify the situation and I had to pay out of pocket to get something fixed that was his fault. Now, come tax season, my accountant has reached out several times in order to get our tax documents situated, and he has refused to provide us with the information necessary. He would answer my assistant's number phone number, because he did not know it was us and said he would send us the information necessary, but never did. We finally had to find someone else to complete this project. We hired someone new at a much higher professional standard, with the same competitive rate. Gilbert cannot be trusted with pricing, nor the quality of work. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. To anyone interested in booking with Gilmar Glass, I hope you take my review as a warning and do not book with them. He is not worth the headache and unprofessionalism.

When I asked if they had samples (thinking it'll be like the little squares they have at Home Depot), he was like yea just take the big board home and bring it back after. I was surprised at the trust they have in their customers. When I asked for a quote, he was like.. I have some time now, I can go to your house for a measure. Unlike Home Depot where you have to schedule, do a bunch of paperwork, and pay for them to come out for a quote. I like the flexibility and the ease of small businesses. Moving and/or remodeling is stressful enough. I am grateful when things are easy. They were also nice to try to work with my budget and schedule. I really appreciated that. We chose Floodfix because they provided a clear breakdown of the expenses, did an excellent job communicating and were willing to work around last minute changes to scheduling and project requests. One suggestion would be to notify the family of additional work/ costs ahead of time as there was one instance where we were given short notice to add to our contract the repair wood that was also water-damaged. We had to make this decision the same day the repair was scheduled and felt a bit rushed but otherwise the project was very smooth and we knew we were in good hands! Fernando showed up right on time and gave me a really reasonable quote for the window cleaning. He went about his business, taking time to make sure all windows were sparkling and there were no streaks. It was a big job since we have lots of windows and they had not been cleaned in awhile. And he cleaned the window tracts and the screens! Our screens had never been cleaned before by any other window cleaning vendor, and it was all included in the price. No additional charge!
