She was a little more rough with my daughter than I would like. Someone working with children should be more gentle. They were understaffed with 2 employees and only standing room in the waiting area. Maybe this added to her frustrations and impatience with us. After that, she ended up charging me $100 --and that was not even with a haircut. I would never return or take my daughter again. And I still tipped because I am too darn nice. My mom saw her hair and commented how dry it looked. When I leave other salons, it is silky straight. Not worth it at all. I will go to a salon where my daughter has a good experience and feels cared for and I get my money's worth. Feeling duped Update- Today I had the misfortune of talking to the owner, Tameka, of this wannabe salon. She actually did all the talking over me and lying--saying she could hear the conversation her stylist had with me regarding the extra charges. Never was I told that a flat iron for a child was $50! And if you are charging for length as you say, why didn't you itemize your receipt correctly? Also, why didn't you subtract for NOT cutting her hair? Worse still, Chelsea made my daughter cry because she was so rough. It's crazy to me that they set the bar so low and everyone is supposed to be ok with that?? And what ...pay them outrageous prices for unsatisfactory work?? And deal with a juvenile owner? No thanks. I have had better and my family deserves better.

We could tell that Chelsea had had a rough day just from the phone calls she got, and the customer before us, but she still smiled and had a good attitude during our appointment. We showed up with dry, clean hair, ready to go. My daughter had a picture of the style she was going for, and Chelsea matched it perfectly. Her hair was beautiful! Thank you very much, Chelsea! We will be back for future occasions, for sire!

Sofi was so friendly and great with my blowout. This was my first time and I love this place, I will definitely be going back. In my picture, the bottom 3 were before and the top two were after.

I visited this salon on August 5, 2025, for a root touch-up and toner with stylist Michelle…read morePerkins, who was my stylist at BH Hair Studio for over a year. I clearly asked to maintain my platinum blonde with a soft lilac tone around my face. Instead, I left with dark grey and purple hair--nothing close to what I requested. Later that evening, I discovered severe breakage in my hair--front, back, and sides--signaling something had gone very wrong. The next day, August 6th, I returned and calmly explained the damage found in my hair. I was seen by the stylist, the salon director Brooke, and Mo Elkurdi, the owner. They all acknowledged the breakage and reassured me-- repeatedly--that they had the skill to fix it. Based on their confidence, I trusted them again. But the correction only made things worse: * My hair was left brassy, patchy, and uneven. * I voiced my dissatisfaction multiple times during the process, and each time I was reassured or brushed off. * I was eventually informed that the platinum result I initially requested would not be achievable again because I would need to bleach my hair again. This significant fact was never disclosed before the process began. Had I known this, I would never have agreed to continue services. Mo then offered a trim "in the back" to clean up any breakage, and he provided me with a mirror so I could see how much he would trim. Before he began, I explicitly requested to maintain my current length and only agreed to a minor trim in the back. However, my entire haircut was drastically altered, including noticeably shorter pieces and a lob-sided cut in the front, which I had not authorized. When I saw the results, I became visibly upset and started crying in the chair. Mo then said, "What is it?" I told him how I felt... and he walked away without saying anything. No apology. No compassion. I was left standing there alone, visibly emotional, and humiliated. I sat in my car to compose myself and then returned inside to respectfully request a refund. However, Mo, the owner, responded without hesitation, stating that they would not assist me. In that moment, he didn't just deny my request; he dismissed me outright, declaring, "We won't help you." When I asked why, he told me: "You find fault with everything. You're always going to be the type to find fault. We tried to help you, but you continue find fault and be a problem. I won't give you a refund." When I told him I would explore other ways to address the situation, he replied: When I told him I would explore other ways to address the situation, he replied: "Let's see if you're successful", uttered in a mocking tone that was completely unnecessary. Let me be very clear: If I were a white patron, I do not believe I would have been treated this way. My concerns would have been taken seriously, and I would have been offered a genuine solution. I wouldn't have been shamed for speaking up, and I certainly wouldn't have been dismissed so cruelly while crying in the salon chair. I've since disputed the charge with my bank. I'm sharing this review so others know that even when you're calm, respectful, and vulnerable--it may not be enough to be treated with dignity in certain spaces. No client, especially Black women, should be made to feel disposable simply for speaking up.

I'm going grey, not so gracefully. I've colored my hair for years and finally decided I was done…read moreand was going to let my grey shine through. With my grey "roots" and different tones of reds and brown Ive drenched my head with, I was a mess. I went and saw Brittany, she sat with me and asked what I wanted, then she told me what could be done. She lifted the dyed colors I had and blended the grey that was already there. It came out fantastic, my hair is now back to its natural color, it hadn't been that in over 30 years, and now with my hair slowly turning grey it will look more natural. Thank you Brittany

During that first visit, Megan was highlighting my hair and, because I swim a lot, there was a reaction. It took some extra care, but she made it work. The end result looked amazing, and I left very happy. Because of that great result, I trusted the salon and booked another appointment by phone several days in advance. The receptionist pulled up my profile and scheduled me with Joselyn. Joselyn was aware of my previous visit and even brought up the last incident herself. I explained that I hadn't been swimming for about three weeks, so my hair wasn't freshly exposed to saltwater. We discussed what I wanted for at least ten minutes, and she even mentioned doing a test strand -- which I thought was a great, professional idea. Then she left to grab the color and came back saying she would not work on my hair at all. "Saltwater exposure and dead ends." Seriously? "Summer time!" That's not a reason to refuse a loyal, paying customer. Everything from my last appointment with Megan was right there in their notes, so they knew exactly what to expect. Yet I was still turned away -- not even offered a haircut or an alternative. When I asked if someone else could at least give me a trim, she said, "We're pretty light today." I walked in expecting professional service and walked out ten minutes later completely refused w/ nothing. I'm beyond disappointed. If you advertise yourself as a color salon, you should be confident enough to handle color -- not back out of it after an appointment is already booked. This is supposed to be a professional salon, yet they couldn't handle a standard client request. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and honestly insulted. If a loyal, respectful customer can be refused like that, something's seriously wrong with how they're doing business -- and who they're hiring
