Too bad there is zero stars. So, one will do. Someone we know has frequented this salon for a long time and recommended it to my wife. My wife's experience was AWFUL (as in she has been in tears for a week straight). She wanted an all over blonde highlights and for some insane reason, the stylist who did her hair put DARK BROWN DYE with some sort of blonde hilights. Like????? Are y'all serious??? Now we are losing sleep trying to help her find an actual professional salon who can correct her hair without charging $800. Well, it will be $500 to fix now, somewhere else indeed. She has trusted these people and she deserves a full refund after what she's had to put up with. Now, of course I know a refund is not going to actually happen because this seems like the kind of slimy salon that says "too bad" and keeps the money. We fought to get $75 at least. I just want everyone to know that if you plan on going here for a blonde job, be prepared to leave in tears and a credit card to fix the botched job you'll receive. We are so upset at this place. We will make sure she never goes back and I'll sure do my best to spread the word that these people just slap on whatever color they feel like on customers that have been going to them for 3 days or 3 years. Went for a haircut told the guy what I wanted and he gave me layers without asking me. He kept on cutting after I told him I don't want bangs or layers and he proceeded to try and fix his mistake. Someone else had to step to try and fix his mistake and they left me with uneven top layers. read more

Chrissy the stylist fried my hair while doing highlights and they are so spreaded with fine lines to bigger chunks . It will take my hair a very long time to get healthy again. Steven, so far in my life, has been the best barber I've had. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else. He knows exactly how I like my hair cut. Perfect every time. I am posting my review for this place ASAP because Steven really saved my hair! A couple of weeks ago I went to another salon on Highway 6 to get "Ombre" hair for the first time. I was confused at first because it didn't look like what I thought ombre would be. The top half was my natural color and the bottom half was this odd copper color. The color line was very uneven, and all-in-all it looked terrible. I didn't even trust the stylist there to fix it. A friend of mine told me to come here and ask for Steven, and I am very glad I did, he transformed my hair and made it look beautiful! Don't bother asking them where she went and we all know who I'm talking about because not only will they not tell you but they will go to GREAT lengths to block anyone from finding out ! Don't go here! The management people who have taken over here are unscrupulous and very deceiving and have no ethics! Msg. me and I'll be happy to tell you where to go only 3 mins away! Yep! As for the people and management at THIS salon, I will tell you who you are dealing with if you come here. The manager went to great lengths to send unsolicited texts and emails to contact me AND other members of my family through our personal phone numbers and emails to pressure and harass me to take down my HONEST review of this place giving people the real deal! . When I didn't, they continue to send nasty emails to my family members to tell me to do so. I won't get into the details of the text message (which was ignored) They wrote it in Vietnamese. I came here through yelp and previous reviews and that's where I found this gem I've had bad haircuts in the past, so in pretty skeptical of trying new places and people. I hated paying for expensive haircuts and not getting the right result. Nancy executed a perfect haircut and fixed my terrible layers on the top. And I obsess over blowouts and she did a terrific job! The haircut is pretty cheap too including shampoo its $25! Better than $68 I paid for my last haircut! I showed Mimi a picture of how I wanted my hair (medium length with no layers) and this is how she cut it. I don't understand why she would cut anyone's hair like this? I didn't want any layers and it was so obvious in the picture I showed her. I've had my hair cut here before and never had any problems until now. I went to go get it fixed at another salon and even that hair stylist said she doesn't know what Mimi was trying to do. I've been following Nancy B. For the longest throughout her hair career, i've followed her from multiple hair salons and stayed getting my haircuts from her. I get a fade and an edge up by her once every week and she never fails to disappoint. I started to bring my friends here and they all like the way their hair looks. Nancy also did my curl perm for one point in my hair phases and made it look very modern and sleek. I got my haircut here, and it was OK. The woman cutting my hair missed a long piece of hair, and my friends had to tell her to fix it and cut it short like the rest. The layers were initially very choppy and not blended. One of my friends stood behind me and guided her on how to blend my layers. However, I loved the way she styled my hair after fixing it. It looked really good after she blow dryed and straightened it a bit. However, I just wish the cut was as good as the styling. read more

I am very disappointed. I have been to Vy many times but this last one I am done. First I was over charged by about 50 bucks. Second the highlight/color came out nowhere near a picture I gave her. When I left Saturday I knew even with the terrible hairstyle it wasnt what I wanted but I did go darker so I wanted to be fair get opinions. 2 days later hate it. Go see Vy again we discuss it she said she can fix it. She added one whole color called Ash which she could not explain to me what that was helping. Once we were done it was a hair dry back still wet and the ask if I like now. I said no I dont but all these chemicals will ruin my hair so there is not much I can do. She was mad the whole time so it was clear she was not interested in making it right. I will say I will totally admit if I didnt explain what I wanted but in this case I did several times and had a picture. Anything beyond just one color dont go to Vy and I also didnt appreciate the staff clearly talking about me in their different language. VERY RUDE read more

As a lady, you know how expensive getting your hair colored, highlighted, or even cut can be... Well Salon 9 is a huge pocket saver. Molee, the owner, does not push spending more and more- but finds ways to cut back on cost. I get my highlights and hair colored and trimmed all for under 80 bucks (not including the tip). Steven does my hair everytime and is there everyday but Monday. They do the job well, and right- and it will not leave me digging for coins at the end of the day. read more

This is the only place I go to for color and a haircut. Vy is the bomb diggity (yes I just said that because I definitely mean it!) and I'll probably never go anywhere else. I trusted her when I decided to chop off my hair to donate to locks of love. 17 inches off later, she understood the style I wanted with her awesome recommendation to color my hair. I've never got it colored before and was hesitant, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Mind you this was a year and a bit ago and I've only gone to her since. salon is not real clean, small & clustered...but, not dirty enough for me to wig out. stylist, tina was really sweet and understood english. she did ok...not the best. i gave her a picture of what i wanted...mid length layers and trim the length no more than 1 inch. she came real close in getting it right, cut 2 inches off length and i had to touch up some un-even layering. my color [they use matrix color product] came out ok, but, pretty much like the loreal/clairol ive been using at home that i buy from grocer. however, when i do my color, i dont leave the color around my hairline to stain my face!! $45 for hair cut and root color --not including tip. **note** they dont let u put the "tip" on ur credit card...so, cash for that. jury is still out on whether i go back. read more

My stylist of choice is Nancy, she has been doing my hair for years and always gets it right. Just this week, I decided to get ombre color for the first time, and I was extremely pleased! Nancy was patient when discussing colors and completed the whole dye job, wash and blowdry in 2 hours. Pros- Very reasonably priced salon. Stylists have great knowledge of hair. If you are looking for good service and a good price this is the place. I have seen this salon for the past 6- 7 years but never really went in there, its 5 mins from my home. I decided to go get my hair colored this time around instead of doing it myself so i went one day after work to make an appointment. I made one with STEVEN for the weekend. I picked RED RED for my haircolor with Matrix products thats what they use and it turned out wonderful burgundy red wine color, not too over the top and not too dull either. I have dark brown original hair color and my main problem has been never been able to get a red enuff color, but this worked amazingly. Steven is a wonderful stylist, he is quiet at first but once you start talking he opens up. He does a very good job of color, haircut and style. He has good experience in helping you pick out a great color for your hair. He is very good at cutting hair especially with multiple layers and does not cut it too short or too little and then uses the thinning scissors to take of the excess under hair. He did the shampoo and condition, color, multiple layers haircut, blowdry and style for 58 bucks which was wonderful!!! He spent a great deal amount of time on me almost 2 hours or more which was great. I got lucky to come on a downtime so he was able to spend a good deal amount of time on my hair which everyone knows when going to a stylist is greatttt. I would pick the first appointment in the morning so they can give you enough time before things get hectic. I dont mind waking up at 9am for a good hair color session that will last me a couple of months. Pros - great wonderful hair color EVERYTHING INCLUDED for 58 bucks! 5 mins from home. Cons-yes i agree with some reviews that said the salon may not look clean, but who is going in for plastic surgery? its just haircolor/ cut / style so for 58 bucks im a ok with it. the end product was amazing! so i dont mind dealing with a little hair here and there on the floor. I have hair till my shoulders.
