I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. I have been here a couple times before and had some solid experiences. The process started when I went in for a fitting of the suit. As the outfit was predetermined, all I had to do was give the staff my code. From there, they began the process of obtaining my measurements. After getting my measurements, pieces of clothing were brought out in order for me to try them on. Some trial and error, but thankfully we were able to find the perfect matches. Some final measurements for alterations and they sent me on my way. I returned a couple weeks later after the suit was ready to try everything on. The staff was very patient with process by showing me proper methods and also provided honest feedback. Everything fit very well, so I was sent on my way, suit in hand. All in all, I have had pleasant experiences at the location. The staff is usually pretty quick to give you a helping hand when you enter the store. It's actually pretty big as well which makes for easy parking and leaves feelings of claustrophobia at the door.
