I tried CoolSculpting for the first time at DVida salon about two months ago and I am very happy with the results. A lot of places/procedures promise impressive results and fail to deliver but CoolSculpting really works. I had it done with Olga who is always very professional and accommodating. I was a little nervous before the procedure but she described every step of the process, answered all my question and made me feel very comfortable. Having had such a satisfying experience with CoolSculpting, I came back to DVida to try SlimSpec anti-cellulite procedure and laser hair removal and look forward to see the results. Hands down one of the BEST kept secrets in Chicago. I have recently developed a lot of spider veins on my thighs, and since I'm not even 30 yet, I am quite self conscious. I had been told that lasers would not work for me and that sclerotherapy wouldn't work because the veins were too tiny. Then I met Diana at DVida today. I have received laser treatments for rosacea over the last year, at $600 a pop, at another medical spa in downtown Chicago. Even though I didn't get laser treatment for my face this time, I was insanely pleased to find that DVida's prices are a FRACTION of that. I got both of my legs lasered and it cost me $190 (which is what it would have cost to do my face as well). HUGE savings! Most importantly, I saw incredible results while I was still on the table! Diana was one of the sweetest women I've ever met, wildly talented at what she does, and was fantastic at keeping me comfortable while educating me on what she was doing every step of the way. I was super nervous it was going to hurt quite badly (as it does when I get my face lasered), and she had to tell me when she started doing it, because I literally couldn't feel it! I can not recommend Diana and DVida enough and will be visiting them time and time again for all my lasering needs, and will be referring them to all of my friends. I am finally so excited to show of my legs this summer thanks to her! :) Also, side note, Diana was running a tiny bit late today and this business is so wonderful that one of their employees, Olga, offered me a complimentary laser facial treatment while I waited! Update: After leaving a poor review I received a message and voicemail from the spa clarifying and educating me on some of their processes. I learned that the acetone was spa grade and not the same as would be used to remove nail polish. I also learned that the nose is often too oily to be treated properly. I also received an apology for the size of the room. I'm very impressed with the quality of customer care post Yelp review and appreciate the spa's concern for customer satisfaction. Original: I tried derma-planing/blading here because of a Groupon and did not have a good experience. Before the treatment my esthetician wipe acetone on my face to "remove all the oil." She assured me it was a normal practice but I asked several friends after...not normal! I trusted her expertise but I should have known she shouldn't be wiping nail polish remover in my face. She also didn't do my nose which was disappointing. Friends assured me she should have done my nose. Lastly, we were stuffed in a small room about the size of a walk-in closet. Not relaxing. I had an amazing experience here. I have been getting facials from dermatology clinics all over Texas before, both good and bad, but this was the best place I've gone to. I got dermaplaning done by Luda and she was sooo wonderful. She took the time to look at my skin and tlak to me about what I could be doing differently in my skin care routine to help with my acne and she even checked my products to make sure they're right for my skin. I left with such a better understanding of my skin type and the type of products I should be shopping for. Not to mention my skin looks great after the dermaplaning! DVida Spa is a favorite of mine. The staff is always so personable and friendly, everyone always has a smiling face. The services are phenomenal as well - I frequently visit for a wax but have had the pleasure of having a facial and a massage here as well. I have a mild case of spider veins and have been looking for a place to get sclerotherapy done. I was previously getting the procedure done at a center that has unfortunately been bought out and replaced all of the original staff. Their current reviews indicate this is no longer a good place to get this procedure done. After calling a few spas and doctors offices I decided to make an appointment at DVida and by pure luck the Nurse Practitioner I saw was Tina who has done sclerotherapy for me at the place mentioned above. I am so happy I found her! She is fantastic at what she does. She's thorough and patient and is so enthusiastic about her work. I highly recommend seeing her if you are interested in having this procedure done! The other staff at DVIda are awesome too! This place is fantastic. It is sparkling clean with a very friendly and helpful front desk. The massage room was lovely with a very comfortable warm table with perfect linens. I had an amazing massage from Nina - so relaxing with enough pressure to undue some knots. She used hot stones, warm supports and eye mask. It was probably the most relaxing massage ever. I was recommended to try the Clear and Brilliant laser to treat my pigmentation issues. So far I have had only one session and I'm absolutely loving the results. I've tried Photo facials, Ipls and chemical peels and nothing seemed to give me the desired results. With Clear and Brilliant After just one treatment I already see my dark spots fading. I love it here! I've been going here for about 6 months and I've seen such a difference in my skin. Kayla is amazing! I started with her doing a hydra facial and I got great results. She educates you on your skin and recommends products that actually work. I didn't really have a skin regimen before coming here and now I know how important it is. I recently tried microneedling, which helps with acne scars and smoothing the texture of your skin. Def recommend going with Kayla, but everyone is super nice so you can't go wrong. I've had skin issues my whole life and I'm 47 now so I have experience and Diana has to be one of the best if not THE best at her profession. I found out about this gem when I bought a Groupon for IPL Photo facial. I bought a series of 3, easily booked my appointment online, and went in for my first appointment today. I had read plenty of reviews and informative articles before deciding on this groupon procedure so I felt pretty comfortable walking in. I had also called in once before booking to the appointment & spoke with Diana, she was polite, informative & answered all of my questions. (I was a little surprised at the lack of information when I was there in person, but like I said, I had called before and had my questions and concerns answered.) The process itself is only mildy uncomfortable & is very bearable. It feels similar to a heated but light rubber snap. Certain areas of your face are a little more sensitive, but that is to be expected. The most uncomfortable thing was the bright light. Immediately after the service Diana asked me about my current skin care routine. She mentioned two products that I could add to my routine but it in no way felt like she was pushing or trying to sell me anything (she was very informative). Which actually made me want to buy one of the products. I live right down the block & after some research I will most likely be going back in to purchase the Retinol that Diane told me about. When I got home and really looked at my skin in the mirror I could definitely see dark spots coming to the surface (especially under my eyes & on my cheeks). I also noticed that the texture of my skin looked really smooth and even. I am excited for the end results & can definitely recommend Dvida for skin care needs & Diana as a great technician. Loving all things and everyone DVida. It's rare to find an establishment that is convenient, doesn't overprice for services, filled to the brim with talent, and has high integrity. I'm a stickler for these last two. What a find! I'm so, extremely happy DVida relocated from the other spot to a place that's more central to me. They just moved in and have plans for renovations and such, but the petite spa area that exists now is very relaxing, clean, calm, etc. I'm a Keely fan (fanatic) because she's soooo extremely talented, and beyond that... I just plain love that girl. I missed not having her in my local vicinity and in following her to this new location on Wells I'm so happy to be introduced to Diana. I received a lovely Oxygen Facial from Diana yesterday. It was very gentle yet surprisingly effective for my tired skin. I just returned from a loooong trip abroad and traveling reeked havoc on my complection, but the oxygen facial definitely did the trick. They said I would walk out with glowing skin--and I did. Just left my appointment for a chemical peel with Olga and I'm very happy with my overall experience. I've never seen an esthetician before and decided to see one for some light acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Olga was so sweet and really told me what I needed to do to help my skin. She really knows what she's talking about and truly wants to see you get the best skin possible. I can't wait to go back and get my next treatment. They have packages that will also save you some money I did the most expensive one just because the treatments I need are included with that one. But you also get 20% off any other services and 1 service a month for $165. It's expensive but I'll pay just about anything so I can have the skin I want. I highly recommend this place and Olga. I absolutely love going to Dvida. I get a prenatal massage with dermaplanning with Olga and she is the absolute best! She is so kind, always making sure I am comfortable and that the pressure is ok. She makes sure she targets the areas that need thr most attention and she will make sure to ask you prior to starting her massage. I use to get botox and regular hydra facials, being pregnant has not allowed me to do my regular facial routine. Olga has been great about recommending one of the few facials acceptable for pregnant women, which is dermaplanning. Dermaplanning has been amazing and I love what my skin feels and looks afterwards. She takes her time to make sure she is doing a thorough job and she will even show you the process while you watch through a mirror. It's amazing and I love it.
