AZ Air and Conditioning and Heating were really fantastic. I had them come out and install a complete new AC & Heating system for my house. They gave me a good price, using good quality products. I was blown away by the thoroughness of their work, they did a lot of little things that I guarantee others who cut corners would not. Real pros here and that's hard to find today. The workers came on time and were courteous and did a nice job of cleaning up after the job was complete. After the install, Nino (head man) took the time to explain everything and go over how the system works, how to work the thermostat etc. Seriously, these guys were fantastic and have earned my respect and trust, I will recommend them to my friends and family. read more

After 4 years of trying to work with this company, I'm done. Background: $28,000 install! I did not go with the lowest bidder because I THOUGHT CostCo would stand behind their products. From the get-go, this unit had trouble cooling our house. At bidding time, the tech said that additional vents should be added (he also asked me not to tell that to the installer fearing for retribution), but at install time, I was told those would be unnecessary. I repeatedly called the company to address the issue, and they kept making minor vent and airflow adjustments. This unit barely cools. Besides the low performance of the unit, there have been repeated failures. Bewarned, even though there is a part warranty, labor costs are not covered after the 1st year. Failure 1: Error code -- they could have fixed over the phone, but they sent an installer to clear the code and charged me $200 Failure 2: Thermostat failure -- $200 to put a new unit in Failure 3: Blower Motor -- $500 to replace Time spent to coordinate and be present for the repairs: thousands of dollars. Mind you -- this is all under warranty. When trying to work with the company, they try and get you on a $400/year maintenance plan. Avoid at all costs -- previous systems I've had worked for tens' of years with maintenance that I did (filter changes). Shame on Costco for representing this company. read more

I called them out to help with AC Repair. Their diagnostic fee was more expensive than other places but they were able to come out 2 days before schedule and with the heat, it was worth it to me. The problem ended up being with my circuit breaker and they wanted to charge me $550 to replace it (in addition to the $129 diagnostic fee which would not be credited toward parts or labor, which I was unclear on at the time of booking the appointment). I was shocked with this estimate and discontinued my work with them. I had an electrician come out same day and do the job for $125. I was extremely disappointed at this company's attempts to up-charge me so much for simply replacing a circuit breaker. I did appreciate that both techs wore masks and gloves. read more

We had a Lennox split mini air conditioning system installed by AZ Air Conditioning installed in our home last Saturday. We were quickly contacted after calling for an estimate and their representative Mike Mendoza came to see us a few days later. We specifically asked for him because our son was extremely pleased dealing with Mike before when our son had a mini split system installed in his house by AZ . Mike Mendoza looked at our air conditioning needs, looked at our options, made recommendations, and calculated the cost(s) and various discounts. We made a decision to have the system installed just 4 days later. The AZ crew finished the job in one day, cleaned up, gave us a tutorial on using it, and we've been enjoying quiet, cool air since. So we paid the difference to get it fixed and up to code, and things have been a little better. We still occasionally get 'smells' coming through our AC (and only when the AC is on), but it doesn't seem as strong. The technicians they dispatched couldn't find any reason it was happening. So far the unit seems to be running okay, uses a ton of power, but is ok. This is an updated review with updated rating since the AC does work. read more

We bought our unit through Costco back in 2014 - we were promised every 6 month maintenance checks along with amazing customer services. This was not the case! When it came to the first 6 month maintenance check , they kept rescheduling us over and over hell they didn't even show up one if the times. But you bet your butt they they kept charging us for that maintenance package, finally cancelled it since they never came through on their end. Flash forward today, finally had enough of this company hence why my review is so late, they wanted to charge me $129.00 to just come out to see if they could fix the problem. That is just crazy, the unit is only 4 years old, I took my business else where. Heck even the new company we are using were shocked to hear what they wanted to charge. Do yourself a favor, save the headaches, tears and money for things that matter and don't use this company. PS shame on Costco for doing business with such a horrible company. read more

I found your explanations of the different systems and suggestions for which units best suited my home to be informative, easy to understand, and explained in a way that made sense to me. I really appreciated your patience as our consultation ran at least an hour or two beyond the expected 90 minutes. When I called you on the Sunday prior to the installation day with a few more questions you were right there to answer, and told me not to worry for calling on your day off. But what probably impressed me the most was when we had different interpretations of the scope of the contract regarding the installation of new ducting, and possible additional charges. Without going into the details I basically benefited by getting all new ducting wherever it was accessible for the crew to change out, which turned out to be just about everything! First off I want to say that each and every one of the eight HVAC and electrical technicians displayed courteous and professional behavior the entire time they were at my house. They were neat in appearance, and went about there work efficiently, and as far as I could see, safely. No clowning around, bad attitudes or abusive language at all. Kevin, the lead HVAC tech, and another Kevin, the lead electrician both displayed the same professionalism in that they always kept me informed with the progress of their work and any details that needed some decision making. They kept me in the loop. Also, the prep work they did to ensure that the dust or debris created from their installs was mitigated was beyond satisfactory; it was exemplary. Drop cloths everywhere, plastic draped over anything close to the work area, shoe covers etc., they took care of it all. Again, professional. Seriously, I can't say enough about the satisfaction I have with the whole process, Jonathan. I also want to thank you for being accessible throughout the installation-showing up to check on everything during the thick of it, and showing up again at the very end to make sure everything was complete and that I was happy and understood how to use the system, especially the smart thermostat and its basic functions. I got referred to AZ from Costco last year and I'm glad I did. AZ installed my new Lennox unit ear and did a terrific job, it works great. When AZ returned for a periodic inspection this year, Marco from AZ found that my dryer appliance air-vent on the side of my house was blowing lint into the air conditioner grille, causing blockage and build up. Marco cleaned the lint build-up and installed a hard elbow and a duct extender on the dryer vent so the lint would be expelled away from the unit. But a day later I realized I needed the extender pipe needed to point in the opposite direction so I called and asked AZ if it could be modified. Marco returned and did the modification perfectly. The good thing about working with AZ air conditioning and heating is that they partner with Costco and Lennox. We installed a variable speed furnace in our home this past October. Everything went great until we tried to turn it on and it just wasn't heating. I called the office and this girl, I think her name was Gabby or Gabriela, arranged a technician to come out and take a look at it that same day. Turned out there was a malfunctioning part by no fault of AZ and they replace it right away. The technician Felipe was very helpful and hope that next time we do a maintenance, that he will be the one to come do it. So far everything has been working properly and we are enjoying the furnace. Initial quote and install very quick and efficient. However, follow through with closing permit and inspection horrible. My last house they never got the permit closed and my current house has been over a year of inspections and still not closed. They don't know what inspections need to be done so each time the inspector comes out to sign something off, the inspector says we need a different type and additional inspection. AZ forgets to schedule and follow up on remaining inspections and repairs/corrections needed. I have had to call them on two different occasions the day of to find out they canceled my long awaited inspection the day before. They state their log shows they left me a voicemail, however I show no record of such. So, twice now I have changed my schedule and plans to accommodate them and now I have to once again. It seems once they get paid, the ball gets dropped. The equipment seems to be great, which it should for the cost. I feel like I have to guide them down the inspection process to get my city permit closed. read more

Hired them through Costco for my Lennox AC and heating replacement. The crew was amazing. They literally worked 12 hours to get it done in one day. It was over 100 degrees out and they were in the attic. Never a complaint. They got the job done well and took the time at the end to teach how to use the digital thermostat. Since they work through Costco, they know any complaint would be fatal to their future work, so they take care of biz. I saw complaints about their "service" contracts but after experiencing their quality installation, I would give them the benefit of the doubt. By the way, they had to replace all my attic ducts with the allergy free / non mold ducts and they did a clean installation. The AC system works very well so far and we are happy. read more

Our ancient floor furnace quit in early Nov 2018. We contracted AZ air conditioning and Heating Inc. to bid and install a Lennox Furngas/90BTU/4T CA Only at our attic on 11/27/2018. Likes: * The bid was competitive with a Costco warranty and reward, and factory rebate. The lead time to install was timely for us. * Sales representative Mr. Ivan Balcazar, the lead of install team Mr. Luis Herrera and his crew, and customer service personnel were all quite professional courteous, and helpful. * The installation team protected the house well. They verified the location of the vent and thermostat before cutting the wall. * The crew member who removed the old floor heater and set up framing and support did a wonderful job. I am unable to judge what was going on in the attic. * Mr. Balcazar visited during the installation to make sure all was well. * Soon after installation, we did run into a problem with a faulty/erratic Lennox M30 thermostat. We called customer service. Service technicians were promptly deployed and the thermostat replaced in a timely manner. Challenges: * It took three inspections and two correction teams (also professional) to pass Culver City's inspection. Maybe AZ is not familiar with Culver City's requirements. Recommendations; * The installation team will request to use one bathroom. Though they protected the house, they did not protect the bathroom on the 1st day. It'd be a good idea also to protect the bathroom. * Do ask the owner before touching the switches in case that there were long running programs and/or sensitive electronic equipment that were turned on. All in all, we were happy with AZ Air conditioning and heating Inc.'s service. I wish I could give AZ a 4.5 star but I'll be generous and give it a 5 star. read more

May 8, 2019 We just completed the yearly service and maintenance procedures on the Lennox house HVAC unit performed by Felipe Briseno. As a retired mechanical engineer, it was immediately apparent Felipe was very knowledge of the tasks requiring service and maintenance and took the extra time to explain to me the reasons for the tests and their results. In the case where it was not possible for me to access the unit in the attic, Felipe took photos of the blower and the associated inlet and outlet ducts to show they were clean and had no debris. He also noticed there were finger prints on the ceiling access panel from a previous service call and he removed them. He is a truly professional service technician. read more

AZ Air installed our entire HVAC system last year (referred by Costco) and every six months we have had it serviced by them. The most recent service was about a month ago and they said all was fine but last week our practically new furnace stopped working. AZ was quick to send out a tech who discovered our furnace contained a part with a known manufacturers defect and said they'd need to order this new part (which has since been improved). I have called service and customer relations numerous times and NOBODY has called me back once to give us an update on the new part nor have they even checked on us. We have had no heat for over a week now and AZ doesn't seem to care one bit. If they are unable to get the part they should replace our furnace with a new one that does not have a manufacturers defect. We have had to borrow space heaters from neighbors just to get by. AZ never offered anything to us. We spent over $20,000 for this brand new system about a year ago and can't use it. I have left numerous messages for Monique and even spoke to her once and she promised to call back within the hour and never did. This company does not know the meaning of customer service! I have informed Costco of these issues to let them know they should not partner with a company who doesn't provide customer service. Still waiting for a resolution and HEAT. read more

Had AZ back out this year to replace my condenser and heat exchanger, they Installed a top of the line Lennox condenser and did an amazing job, the installer jovanni was super knowledgeable and talked to me periodically throughout the entire job. They stayed late and finished even with all the unforeseen problems we had with my install (not azs fault) the guys stayed and finished the job ensuring I would have air conditioning for my family the crew went above and beyond. They cleaned up and even did patch work that wasn't exactly their mess in the beginning its truly hard to find a contractor this good and honest. I highly recommend AZ! The scheduling process was easy, and I received multiple reminder calls to confirm. Everything was COVID-19 appropriate - masks, booties, hand sanitizer. The technician, Kyrone was patient, as I didn't know where all of the heating components were located in the house. He was also informed - he spotted the issues immediately and began troubleshooting. He was clear about the history of our thermostats and provided ideas about how the unit became burned out. Additionally, he discovered larger problems with the construction (new) of the HVAC components helping us to understand why we were having return problems in the first place. He also gave tips on maintenance and talked briefly about packages offered for customers. He was clear and transparent about the pricing of materials and labor. I am writing this email in the situation of having trouble in switch on the AC with 95F hotness in my home and your system completely failed to start the AC (Cooling and Heating system and the controller completed went to non-responsive state). I do have one year old baby and having trouble with the heat after the AC failure with in a year of installation. When your sales team have discussion with me, they have marketed that, myself and my baby have very good time with your AC/Heating system, but in the reality, when we needed cooling in my home, the system(AC) failed to start and I called your service team for immediate attention, but they have appointment around Sep 04, 2019. So I have been struggling for a 5 days. I already try to complain my DISSATISFACTION to your team. Your Sales team has estimated my home heating and cooling requirements wrongly and they have failed in estimating the correct cooling / Heating requirement for my master bedroom where I need the Cooling and Heating. I have called many times your team and emailed on the situation, but never get the solution for that problem. I called AZ Air Conditioning to come and check our A/C units in our house that were not cooling very good. They made it out to our house quickly and replaced two of our units that were older and not efficient. The new units are working excellent, and they also installed two thermostats that we can control from our smart phones. These guys offered us a few choices to choose from and gave us a very good price. We checked around and they were very reasonable. One thing that I have to mention is how clean of a job they did on installing these units. They covered our floors, and used gloves to install the unit. Very professional, and clean!! When the installers came, they were very professional and answered all of my questions as installation was going on. They finished when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. Our family had a great experience with AZ air-conditioning. They had the best price combined with rebate from Costco and the installation team was very professional: on-time, clean, and went over every detail with us. We went with the Lenox top of the line system based on XP25 heat pump, 3 zones, the most efficient air-handler and PureAir S filtration system. Replaced air ducts as well. System sizing and design was top notch. It required some thinking outside of the box because we were replacing a 30 year old system with state of the art equipment, which included complete relocation of the equipment. Now my wife is happy to have a good size pantry room instead of an old gas furnace and the backyard doesn't have an ugly condenser. The system is the efficient and very quiet. Having multiple zones is the best future - everyone in the family can have their own climate. When you go with top of the line system you expect the best and AZ delivered. Post install tuning and support is the best we experienced from any residential service companies. We definitely recommend them to anyone who has any air-conditioning projects and we will use them for any needs in the future. read more

When our 30-year old furnace decided to quit on one of the coldest days in SoCal, I called AZ because they had installed an A/C unit several years ago and I was very impressed with their service. And they did not disappoint this time either! The tech who first came, Jack, was polite, informative and helpful. When we decided to go with AZ, they were able to schedule an installation in 3 days. The installation crew showed up at exactly 8:00 am and under the command of Rodrigo (Nino) went right to work. I can't believe they were able to install a new heater and replace 14 ducts and be finished by 4:00 pm. They actually left the area under the house in better condition than they found it. I am very impressed with the entire company -- from the office to the installers, everyone has been responsive and capable. AZ Inc. Installed AC in our Redondo Beach house. The house was never equipped nor built with any AC accommodation in the attic. There was not enough space in the attic to do such a job. Many other companies told us that it is impossible to do this AC installation job due to the very narrow attic space which could also cause permanent damage. Zack and his team were consulted and they assured us that they can make enough space in the attic to install the entire AC Lennox system without causing any harm to our house. They were efficient, professional, punctual, prompted, and precise. It took them a full day of hard work to get the job nicely completed. Zack's crew worked non stop for at least twelve hours to get the job done and in only one day as they promised. Initially, they covered the rooms, furniture, hardwood floor, and carpet to keep them clean. Finally and after the mission was accomplished, they cleaned and vacuumed the entire covered areas. The crew left the house in a very clean condition and I didn't have to do anything. Next day, Zack returned to double check that the work was done precisely. My faith has been restored by a company that is genuine and forthright. AZ Air Conditioning and Heating has shown me what true customer service is about, and that meeting the customers needs come first. I was so fortunate to have Ilan Bouzaglo as my sales representative (and guardian angel). He has the patience of a saint and literally walked me through a project that I was avoiding at all costs. I had to replace my HVAC system after it was red-tagged, but was overwhelmed and hesitant due to my lack of knowledge and expertise in this area. It was a big investment and purchase, and one that I was reluctant to have to make on my own. I never once felt pressured or over sold. Even after I had made my decision, I continued to call Ilan with last minute questions and/or concerns I had about the system and it's reliability. He continued to "walk me through" the process by answering in great detail what my questions or concerns were about. Always with a sense of humor, sincerity, guidance and wisdom. He put my mind at ease, even when I was second guessing my decision. His ability to translate his technical knowledge of the equipment into layman terms was hugely helpful. I was never made to feel like I was asking anything stupid, or was being a nudge. Ilan even went as far as to rush my installation through and coordinated his anticipated requirements for the day of installation. He was particularly sensitive to my and my daughters needs, which I so appreciated. But I must also mention, so were the Owners of the company by being responsive to getting things done quickly. Covid precautions were adhered to, painstakingly so. The men who came out (Raul, Gabriel, and Honor) were dreams. They were overly careful in protecting all surrounding areas in my place, cleaned up so it never looked like anyone had been there working, were so quiet that I even had to come out of the bedroom to see if anyone was there, and stayed until the job was done right. A small leak had appeared once the system was turned on and they made sure it all was addressed and even hung around to insure there wouldn't be any issues. I was even shown how to install the Ecobee thermostat app on my phone and how to program it; which is a true feat since I am technologically challenged. LOL. I was concerned about how to register and fill out the warranties for all the equipment in a timely fashion, where to locate all the serial and model numbers on the systems, and had several post installation questions that arose after. Their Customer Care Manager, Monique V. was delightful and attentive. She addressed each of my concerns, contacting whomever could best give her the correct answers AND much to my surprise and delight, informed me that they would handle all the warrantee paperwork with Lennox, Ecobee, the outside installation inspectors, and even the final sign off with the City. I was blown away! Imagine what a sigh of relief... AZ's attention to detail and follow through have exceeded my expectations. This is a company that does not stop it's customer service once the salesman writes the order. They even handed me a "MEET the TEAM" sheet which had the contact information for each manager of each of the various departments at their company, in the event anything came up at any time! I feel like a valued customer. I have been treated like a valued customer. I never felt rushed or that I was taking up too much of their time. My AC wasn't blowing cold air. Called AZ because they sold me the system. Very nice, knowledge technician found a small leak. He added a stop leak similar to what you'd use for a flat tire and a little refrigerant to replace the little that had leaked out. The charge was $750.00! I will not be calling AZ again. read more
