Ordered my son a smoothie that I received not fully blended and instead of it being filled to the top of the cup it was half way with melted watery whipped cream... every sip he took an ice cube covered the straw that did not allow anything to go through. Update: After sending a 2nd email I have heard from Dutch Bros Corp and they provided a $10 gift card to rectify over charging. Changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. They will also send the case to the local manager for training purposes which is what I was hoping for. Original post: So I drove out of my way and waited in line to use (2) $3 off any drink coupons I had. The girl standing outside taking orders said no problem and I could use them both on 1 order. When I got up to the window, the guy of course made small chit chat. I handed my coupons to the guy and he said great $6 off your total is $3.50. I gave him my credit card. He handed me the tablet which was already at the tip screen. So I didn't see a subtotal. I tipped $1. Low and behold they charged me $10.50. They also didn't give me a receipt (they never do). I was disappointed. I reached out to Dutch Bros. On 12/31 and have received NO REPLY. I would prefer the workers charge me the correct amount vs. just BSing with me asking where I worked and what do I do. More disappointed that I didn't receive a response when I noticed Dutch Bros of the error. Definitely won't go back to spend $10 on coffee drinks. I usually come to this Dutch bros and love it. However today was not a good experience. I had a large order of 4 drinks, when I got to the window the attendant handed me a cup and I knew it was not my coffee. She said shoot, I just gave your coffee to the person in front of you, this is theirs! (My coffee was made with milk and there's was a milk alternative) that's really not good for whoever got my coffee. Meanwhile she just sat there while the others fixed her mistake. I enjoy Dutch Bros. Mostly I really am a fan of the customer service. I usually to the location near my house in Scottsdale and today I went to a location in Tempe because I happen to be working in that part of town. The barista recognized me and was very friendly. =) The group is always upbeat and everyone seems to really enjoy what they are doing. The coffee here isn't very strong in my opinion and is rather smooth. Seldomly do I get a decaf that doesn't taste quite right. The great thing is if anything doesn't taste just as you like it, I have NEVER had an issue letting them know and getting a new drink. One thing is that A LOT of people LOVE DBs so beware the long lines. I will say at times when the wait is crazy, they usually give me a free drink or a bunch of stamps on my frequent buyer stampcard (you can get these at any time with purchase, free coffee after buying 10). Yeah. I'm actually not a coffee drinker, but my wife and daughter are, so I started making trips here for them. It's because of those visits that I found out about their "Rebel" or custom energy drink. Now when people ask me, "What's your poison?", I say "Sugar-free strawberry Rebel." If you're a Dutch Bros fan, you will understand. The lines can sometimes be really long, but everything is usually so efficient that they move fast. The workers are friendly and are so peppy and happy that I swear they take coffee in an IV drip. One taste and you'll know why no other coffee place can compare to Dutch. After ten stamps on your stamp card, you get one free--can't beat that. If you love Dutch Bros as much as my family does, you know that it doesn't take long for that card to fill up! Smooth tasting coffee, with no hint of bitterness. They offer several mixed coffee options with fun names, as well as chai tea, and most drinks can be made iced as well as hot. I had the Cocomo, which had a light flavor of coconut and chocolate. It was good, but I did need to put an extra packet of sugar (Splenda since I got it sugar-free) to bring out the flavor of the coconut and chocolate in the drink. They offer good sugar free options, and they offer soy and coconut milk in addition to regular milk. Service was very cheerful, and the drink was made in record time. It's time to leave your local Starbucks and drive down to a Dutch Bros near you. You should be getting in your car as I read this. This coffee house is great at getting you your drinks fast (if there's a long line in the drive-through, they have employees run out and grab your order), giving you great service (they're upbeat, casual, and ALWAYS ask you what you're up to), and their selection of drinks isn't complicated (every drink is amazing). I love their stamp cards. Look out for nine-stamp days or double/triple-stamp days. Only ten stamps and any drink at any size will be given to you! Something most people fail to mention on here is how they have subtle themes on random days where they might be dressed up as cowboys/girls, in neon-colored clothes, or even in beach wear. When they are, be on the lookout for their deals. They're all having fun making your coffee, and you can't help feeling bad for not partying with them. I have two personal favorites. I love the Kicker freeze, and Passionfruit/Kiwi Italian soda with cream in it. One is creamy and flavorful, and the other is refreshing and hits the spot. Oh yeah, and did I mention their large drinks are the size of a tub and are way cheaper than Starbucks? I'm a sucker for this place. The closest one to me is a couple miles away, but the drive is always worth it. It's a place that I'm surprised most people haven't used as a replacement for their double-soy light, tan, mocha-cocoa yada yada yada latte. read more

No-nonsense caffeine, fast. The service here was very good and efficient. The menu caters mostly to sugary concoctions, but if you don't see what you want, you can ask and should be accommodated if they have the ingredients. (I wanted a caramel macchatio but only saw an item on the menu with both caramel and chocolate...no problem!) I ordered a large for $4.50- very much in line with other places. The drink itself was less sweet than Starbucks (I prefer a less sugary drink, so this is good). The amount of espresso was impressive, I should be good to go for a few hours yet! The wait for my drink was a minute or two less than I expected. One item I haven't ever seen anywhere else- flavor-infused Red Bull! I haven't tried this yet, but I definitely will next time. I realize this is a chain, but it's refreshing to have more options around for coffee on the go. :) I hope to see more of these pop up around the Valley. read more

Every time I have come here there has been a problem. I waited in the drive through for 20 minutes and when I get up to the window they tell me their espresso machine isn't working and I don't get my latte.. But I can get a freeze? Noooo, I want my latte. And I should have been told about it sooner so I could have left through the side and wouldn't be almost late WITHOUT my coffee. Garbage service. Wasted 30 minutes in line while cars were allowed to cut in front of me. The girls who were supposed to be taking orders instead wandered aimlessly and only engaging the cars almost at the window. I am dissapoitnted with the service I received from this location today. I am not from this area but have been to this location before and many of your others in the past. This is why I was excited to come get my coffee today and speak with the normally friendly staff. To my surprise today when I pulled up to the window and I was met with extremely rude staff completely dismissing what I was saying to them about my order. I also did decide to ask for some stickers so my husband and 1 can bring some back to our kids and they were thrown out to me very abruptly. I'm obsessed with Dutch Bros Coffee! I always get the Iced Kicker and I highly recommend. I keep coming back for the friendly service. The cashiers don't simply take your order, they ask about your day and hang out with you until your drink is made. They are very lively and conversational. If the line is long (and it often is, this is a popular place!) they will send out someone to take the orders from the people in line, even if it's 115 degrees outside. I've heard the Dutch Bros business model before from a friend who worked there and it seems to really treat its employees well. I will continue to support this business that believes in hardworking students! I will say, however, if you are looking for a coffee shop with ample seating, this isn't for you (there are only a few outdoor seats). Great coffee, great service. read more

I love Dutch Bros. Every time I go (which is almost every day), I am greeted by some of thee friendliest baristas EVER. Part of me suspects that they must have an espresso IV drip-they are just so energetic. They love chatting with their customers and are super fast at making drinks. The vibe is really laid back and casual, even with nightclub music constantly blaring. I usually order the same thing every time (coffee with soy & hazelnut) but sometimes I mix it up with a seasonal drink. I love that their coffee is Americano. After going here, I kind of feel like I'm cheating on a lover if I go to Starbucks, and hey! They don't give you a punch card like they do at Dutch..and it's not nearly as delicious. read more

Even local boutique coffee shops don't charge this and for the quality that comes at Dutch Bros' out of the plastic jug chai and just above average coffee- this makes no sense. Great drinks, which I've found to be equally good at pretty much every Dutch Bros location I've been to. Great service at the Southern and Mill location, which is what keeps me coming back! Grabbing a Dutch drink on my way to class is something that I always look forward to. I've only ever had great service at this spot, but two folks in particular always make my day. (And now I'm about to butcher the spelling of their names!) Shayla and Devin are awesome. They always remember my name, what I do, and what I drink. I love this place!! I've never had a unpleasant time getting my caffeine fix here. I've always had a cheerful, upbeat conversation with the employees who just know how to make a customer smile. I love the wide variety of drink they have to offer. Can't beat Dutch Bros. I'm a fan of Starbucks, yah, but the people (both servers and the served) can be a bit stuffy and oh-so-charmingly pretentious. DB is the the anti-Bucks. No matter which windmill I pull up to (I've DB'ed in 3 states and counting) I always get the feeling I'm pulling up alongside a friendly, caffeine-purveying pirate ship. The staff is always affable and generally interested in chatting about anything and everything (that's if you're willing to reciprocate of course, I've gotten my coffee fix hungover and they're just as nice to you, with fewer words, if you're being a d-bag). So I'd recommend any DB to anyone, this location just happens to be the closest to me. If Starbucks is the British Empire, think of Dutch as an enterprise of nicer and harder-working Jack Sparrows. ;) read more

Dutch Bros has become my first choice for coffee since I've moved to Arizona! With each location I visit, I feel better and better about making the decision to go out of my way to find a Dutch Bros location to raid. My favorite drinks would be the Kicker and the Annihilator! The unique part about the Kicker is the incorporation of steamed half and half instead of steamed milk (what you find at basically any other coffee shop). Another recent favorite is the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Loaf, but my original favorite has been their Blueberry Muffin! The last time I went to Dutch Bros, I came with my boyfriend and the staff wrote a sweet message on both of our drinks... Way to personalize and make every customer feel special! This particular Dutch Bros. gets a lot of Tempe residential and ASU traffic, so it is always quite busy, which precipitates an inevitable wait. To their credit, the staff do a decent job of taking customer's orders from outside where the cars are in line. If upon arrival you notice a long line of cars, just park and go up to the window facing Mill Ave. You'll wait less, on average, by doing this, rather than waiting in your car. The only reason I didn't give this particular Dutch Bros. 5 stars is because, and I get it, it happens, on more than one, but not too many occasions, I've had an item I ordered not registered. It's a busy location on a major intersection in Tempe, which explains the potential wait and omission of ordered items; however, on the whole, this Dutch Bros. rocks. The staff is gregarious and sociable and will give you extra stamps if you're a chill person! read more

Just so we're clear I have never, not once tried Dutch Bros. (As I write this review my daughter is arguing the fact that I have)...whatever the case I am not an enthusiast. I can't get my head wrapped around the idea of being wrapped around a building for umpteen minutes for a Dixie cup of cold java. I have nothing against them other than the fact that because of them I am frequently pestered by my daughter to head in Dutch Bros. In addition I'd like to add Dutch Bros locations are few and far between in my humble opinion. Now those kids that work there. They're some of coolest folks you'd ever want to meet.
