I got the blended cookie butter drink, 2 cookies & cream blended drinks, one with espresso, and an iced caramel Macchiato. All of them were really good. Decided to go here instead of scooters or Dutch bros today and I am so sad with my decision. SCAM ALERT. I ordered a small blended drink and then used my rewards points in the app for a free pastry. Upon pulling up to the window to pay, the gal said my order was over $10 AFTER removing the price of the pastry. I said "are your small drinks really $10 now? The menu says about $5-$6." She said "yes." At this point, I was just going to pay the almost $11 and never come back, so I paid and she didn't even ask if I wanted my receipt, so I requested it, and then on my receipt was added "smashed avocado" for almost $3. I asked if she could remove that charge since I didn't order that. She got her manager and her manager said the pastry would be "on the house" and she refunded me for the avocado (or so I hope it gets refunded." I thought my points for my pastry would be put back in my app, but they never were, so nothing was on the house. When I arrived to work, the pastry was WRONG and not the one I ordered, but I was too far to drive back. I was shocked at horrible the entire experience went and how long it took. read more

1 star, I made an online order at 6:34am and it showed picked up at 6:43. I went to this location after making my order and they were closed, there was an employee in the parking lot sitting in his car until 7am. Proceeds to go inside and lock the door behind himself. Mind you drive thru says they open at 5:30am and lobby is 6:30. The employee also watched from his car as I proceeded to to walk to the doors to check if anyone was inside. Finally a second employee showed up and he went inside. I get it if you're late your late but don't watch a customer idiotically knock on a door right in front of you, say something to them. Cute purple straws and crushed pellet ice. When I walked in the first thing that caught my eye was the girl cleaning the windows. This shop is clean new and beautiful. Next I noticed the automatic hand sanitizer station which was out of sanitizer I was promptly greeted with a hello and got a very tasty ice coffee with hazelnut just like I used to get years ago when I first started going to coffee bean. These days it's tough to find the bean. Tempe market place is long gone so it's a pleasant surprise to find what appears to be a newish location. Last time I was at the Scottsdale location on miller it felt old and run down and not as vibrant as it used to be. Just moved here from Utah and always like finding local coffee shops to support instead of Starbucks or any other big chain. Dropped the hubby off at work and saw this right off the highway and knew I wanted to check it out. Checked out the reviews while I waited in the line at the drive thru and I am just appalled at the petty reviews giving 1 star. It was clear they were a new business working out the kinks during a pandemic. If I had a bad first experience, I would contact the management myself and return at a later time to see if they had time to work out the kinks and train new staff. And asking me to wear my mask while I pick up my order at the window is not a big deal especially when they are providing a service and enforcing safety protocols for everyone's well being. I had the complete opposite experience today from all the negative reviewers on my first visit here. The young lady taking orders in the drive thru was extremely pleasant and friendly and helped offer options I didn't even think of for my drink order (I always order a London Fog with coconut milk). The drink was perfect. Not too sweet and the latte style she recommended made it nice and frothy. I loved it. I asked about the Black & White cookies to see if they were made in house or packaged store bought stuff and she informed me they are made at a local bakery so of course I had to add one to my order. As a NYer, I'm excited to taste this heavenly treat that I usually only see back east. It hit the spot too taking me back to my hometown as I took a bite. I wanted to eat the whole thing but need to save some for hubby to have later lol. Service was prompt and courteous and she even complimented my beautiful fur babies who were hanging out the window greeting her. Our house is nowhere close to this spot, but I will absolutely go out of my way to come back again and I already made sure the hubby knows about it so he can stop in on his way to work. After attempting to go to Coffee Bean last weekend, we pulled up to the window only to be informed that the hours in the internet were wrong and they closed at 7:00 not 8:00., (it was 7:03) we left disappointed. So we tried again today. We pulled up and asked for Vanilla Ceylon Tea only to be disappointed again when they informed us it was discontinued even though it was in the app still. We asked for Earl Grey with 1/2 and 1/2 instead. We pulled up to the window to and were told they didn't have 1/2 and 1/2. I tasted the Earl Grey with milk and it was water and milk with no tea flavor at all. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I had a terrible experience at this store and I won't be returning to this place. I ordered online and after pulling up to the window and being instructed that I ordered it incorrectly, the manager at the store, Kelly, proceeded to tell me that I'm not allowed to do that and I'm not gonna get away with it, whatever that's supposed to mean? She refused to give me my coffee as she was holding in her hand, and then I just asked for a refund because I was going back-and-forth with her arguing with the store manager over maybe a dollar difference, I just asked for a refund. I didn't even want the coffee anymore and she says it takes 24 hours and slammed the window on me. I'm not sure if this is her first customer service job, but I will not be returning and all of my friends and family in the area are so upset and will not be going to the store. Wow! Starbucks abandoned my skinny hot chocolate drink this week. Perfect timing for this new coffee shop in Ahwatukee! I ordered my sugar free hot chocolate and it was made perfect! It tasted better too. Dh got a cocoa cold brew. He likes it. Drinks are good! What makes it better, are the pastries! Cookies are soft and flavorful. My favorite is the old fashioned donut. I don't know what is actually called, but I was a long term Starbucks customer but this donut, pastry is so good. It was not too sweet, had a great texture outside and moist on the inside. I am really liking this place. It officially opens July 15th, but they had a soft opening today. I am odd, I do not drink coffee nor sugar. This makes getting drinks difficult. However, this place may be the place I have always dreamed of, hahaha. They have a list of caffeine free and sugar free drinks that are NOT coffee. I look forward to enjoying this new establishment more this year. Inside is nice and clean. Employees are wonderful and helpful. I usually go to a place a few times before even writing a review. First impressions aren't always accurate. This has now been my third and last time I will go to this place. I approached the screen and mic and tried to place my order for a flatbread sandwich... sorry, we are out - came a voice from the mic, ok, how about a burrito... again, sorry no bacon, no sausage. I ended up with a sausage patty breakfast biscuit - absolutely disgusting. It was dry, tasted like cardboard and for the money was just an insult. Same goes for the skimpy little protein box - grapes were wilting and the egg was rubbery. I also got a large Mocha.. granted I have had this there before and it was decent. This one failed to make the mark. It was overly sweet (like sugar was added on top of all the other sugars in it) and was extremely thick in texture, similar to a melted milkshake, except warm - yep... gross. They don't make any of the food there, it is shipped in - which explains the result. I don't fault the workers, they are always good (they are the only reason I gave this place any stars). I fault the owner for buying cheap products and selling them at airport pricing. At least airport food is edible. Keep it up and in this economy you will tank. People want what they pay for and this place (maybe just this location) falls way below expectations. read more

I love Coffee Bean's coffee but this location is the worst. 3 times, I ordered an iced latte, which is supposed to come with whole milk unless something else is asked for, and 4 times I kept being given something that looked and tasted like espresso and barely white water. I would ask them if this was whole milk and they would swear it was. It got to the point that I had to start ordering "iced latte with whole milk". A couple of baristas even told me "oh you don't have to order it that way, it automatically comes with whole milk" to which I have to say "apparently I do, because someone keeps making it with either non-fat or nut milk". 3 times now, even with ordering a latte with whole milk and I'm still given something that looks and tastes like espresso with white water. I can't see who is getting paid $15 an hour to continually screw this up espresso, milk, and ice as I'm in the drive thru. But 7 times is 5 times too many, will not be returning. read more

I called location and Jackson basically told me they didn't know who was supposed to deliver my drinks maybe try calling DoorDash customer service because they just make the drinks but don't have any communication whatsoever with delivery people. We were excited to hear that this place opened and rushed over to try some drinks before it closed. We arrived to this location 30 min before close and no one would answer the drive thru though we kept asking if they were open. I walked up to the door and saw the employees working. I waved and I was very obviously in eye sight but we were not acknowledged. I understand if it was slow and they closed early but they could have to courtesy to say "sorry, we are closed". HORRIBLE customer service! Watch what you order because they will charge you double and make no apologies for it. I ordered a $3 ice tea and for a full week they charged me double for a specialty drink and charged for a larger size. They didn't inform me what I was ordering was actually just an ice tea they just rang it up, intentionally as the higher priced drink. Their drive thru menu is vague and doesn't have the FULL menu so I had no way of knowing I was ordering wrong. Instead of apologizing or trying to make it right they blamed me and were INCREDIBLY rude and the girl in the drive through and manager on duty were SO SNOTTY! They are dishonest and will rip you off if you don't pay attention or don't know the menu well. It's your responsibilty to train your staff and to inform customers of these things and to insure they are doing things properly and the management obviously doesn't care to do that. It's not my responsibility to tell you how to ring things up or to know the ends and outs of each specific item on your menu. If the way I order changes the drink entirely YOU are supposed to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE by making me aware of that. I have been in management for years and this is the quickest way to lose customers. I recently moved the area and would have been a repeat customer and now I will never go back.
