It's cold outside. When it's cold outside for me, I want hot drinks like hot coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate. Dutch Bros has HOT CHOCOLATE on lock! I went for the first in Nov 2023 and have been back at least 2 to 3 times a week ever since! Mainly because they have a host of sugar-free syrup options and for me being diabetic, that is key! They have many flavors such as double chocolate, tuxedo (mix of white chocolate and chocolate), German chocolate, golden, etc. All are delicious! Not all have a sugar free options but they have several options which is WAY more than Starbuck's one sugar-free vanilla option which I love. Will I still go to Starbucks and get my sugar-free vanilla latte? Yes because I am hooked. But Dutch Bros SF vanilla latte is a close delicious 2nd and is a few cents cheaper. - Drive through is not as fast and is confusing for first time customers. You order at the window or if they are really busy, they have someone come outside and take orders (think Chick-fil-A). But it's not as efficient and you can end up waiting about 10 mins longer. I give it a 3. - Customer Service is a solid 4. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. Bubbly in fact. Whether really early in the morning or late before closing. Love it, just not the wait. - Cleanliness is a 4. When I peak in at the window, there is a lot going on. But I do see someone always coming behind the broistas and wiping up, which shows they are cognizant. - Hot Chocolate (I have had several types now) - a delicious and comforting 5. The cups have a top on them that remind you of an adult sippy cup! - Latte - a 4.5 So overall I give Dutch Bros a respectable 4! If you want some comfort on a cold day, RUN not walk to Dutch Bros. I enjoy Dutch Bros and their products, but I absolutely hate waiting for them for so long. The past three times I have gone to Dutch Bros location has been around 9pm. I always order ahead of time too. Usually the app says it'll take a little less than 10 minutes. I get there, it's not ready. I'm still waiting at the windows for an additional amount of time, especially when I account for the time waiting in Drive-Thru. I think I waited 30 minutes at some point. Me and my boyfriend decided to come try it out on our day off together. I downloaded the app for the rewards system, which is a plus. If you decide to walk up be careful where you choose to park because the drive thru line will block you in. If you choose drive thru be prepared to be stuck or pop a curb. When I tell you that this place is going to be my new coffee shop, especially over (if you know you know) Now don't get my wrong, Dutch Bros is not any cheaper than my once favorite coffee shop, however the app and the rewards system are AMAZING. I've gone 3 times and I already very close to claiming my first reward. It's insane yummy the Icee Carmelizer is, accompanied by great customer service, you just can't beat it. I've known about Dutch for years and every Dutch Bros I've been to (which is quite a few all over the PNW and a few here in Texas) and was so excited to finally have one that's closer then a 45 minute away drive. But this is by far the SLOWEST Dutch I've ever been to! The people are nice but spend a lot of time chatting with each other verses making drinks. They make the drinks correct every time but plan on waiting anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes before getting your drink and that's for the walk up and drive through. When they first opened I gave them credit cause they were learning and finding a flow but here we are and nothings changed about the speed of service. Stopped by the walk up window today, got there at 3:18 and didn't get my drinks till 3:46. Kinda disappointed that they can't seem to figure out how to pick the speed up a little bit when making drinks. read more
