    Food truck in Mebane

Yesterday Dusty Donuts was parked at Tanger Outlets, so I was very excited to finally try it! The ladies working were both very nice and my friend and I appreciated their recommendations. My friend got the cinnamon roll donuts and I got pumpkin spice donuts. They were delicious!! I think these were the best mini donuts I have had. If you see this truck out and about I definitely recommend stopping!

1/27/19: I had their cinnamon sugar with buttercream donuts today at the food truck rodeo and they are AMAZING!! We came back for seconds. Lol. I would highly recommend that you try them whenever you can. They have peanut butter and chocolate sugar flavors as well. They also sell hot chocolate, coffee, and soft drinks.

Pumpkin spice mini donuts are absolute perfection

Wow. Mind blown. For those who know me, I love donuts and even have a donut hash tag. These rank in my top ten if not top five donuts of my life. I had the pumpkin spice mini donuts at the Bluegrass festival where Dusty Donuts truck was calling my name. My goodness, they were pillowy bites of perfection. The key is the mini donut size which means you don't need super sweet glaze to balance the amount of dough. So in one small donut, you get the perfect ratio of soft pillowy dough, and slightly sweet crunch from the cinnamon and spiced sugar. Now I can't wait until the NC State Fair to have their donuts again.

These guys don't even have a pic on their Yelp account! Well I tried them out at the National Folk Festival in Greensboro on Saturday night. Donuts is their game, miniature in size, served in a paper bag, hot, fresh, and ohhh so good! You can get them dusted with cinnamon sugar, pumpkin spice, powdered sugar, and a bevy of other toppings! These things are so fresh and addictive that you'll go through a bag by yourself!

These donuts are worthy of an awesome review. I was at the Tanger Outlets in Mebane. I had a sugar high from some donuts I had previously ate that morning. When I saw the sign for Dusty Donuts (located near the Off Saks Fifth Ave) I hesitated until my intuition said treat yourself! I quickly perused the menu of the bright yellow truck. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Delight mini donuts! Wow the donut flavor was potent and delicious. I found the glaze not only tantalizing but naturally sweet. The essence of the pumpkin spice donuts were captured and highlighted in this flavor. Sometimes when you have a dish that is seasonal, the actual festive flavors are lost in the sauce. Thankfully the pumpkin spice is not only there but pairs well on the cake donut. You have to try it, the spice just soaks in and envelopes every texture of the donut. The donuts are made to order and come out of the fryer piping hot! You have to enjoy these on the spot. The customer service is friendly and each interaction while I waited and mines received a dose of genuine humor! Treat yourself!

I tried this food truck for the first time at my alma mater's football game yesterday. I got the hot mocha and mini donuts with cinnamon sugar and it was good. The mocha was kind of watery, but not bad. The donuts were perfect! Prices are super reasonable and the donuts are really fresh. I will be getting the chocolate covered ones next time!

Great fresh donuts, we fought over the bag then clawed at the leftover cinnamon sugar.

I tried it and I was so pissed I was ready to go back and argue and fight because it's criminal they charge this and give you the worst food ever. I'm Mexican I have 25 years experience in the kitchen and I'm talking authentic cuisine from Italian to Asian and American but I also have worked with Mexican cuisine and mainly tacos and carnes. The Al pastor tacos aren't marinated right I threw up after one bite and immediately threw it out I realized it was not fully cooked correctly and they used cow skin bits to pass them off as Al pastor tacos which is wrong. The steak tacos are very full of nerves and chewy as heck the chicken is just dry like all the other foods and I don't think they marinate their food or refrigerate it. I seriously em debating whether to report them to health and safety for food they are bad I hope no one goes there anymore and if you do just know if you feel sick or nausea that it's more then likely from them or even food poisoning. I don't even want to give a star. It's so sad taco trucks aren't the same anymore, the Michoacán taco truck down the street next to cliffs meat market if you go just know that their restaurant in Durham failed with flying colors their inspection and dorm refrigerator their food correctly although I admit it's good and taste better and the price ain't bad I do warn you that that truck will charge your card multiple times and steal money I had that issue

I can't even tell you about how awesome their food is without it flashing in front of my eyes. Must. Have. Taco de lengua.... PS: I was just there and got more info: They are at the Fitch Lumber's parking lot Thursday to Sunday, from 6PM to 12AM. They are called Lating something, but they do not have any signs on the cart itself. They could be called whatever they want, they are so good they don't even need a name!!!

There Jim Rivers has been setting up his steel hot dog stand for nearly 14 years now, and is there almost everyday beginning at 11:30 - he misses some days because he also sets up at the North Carolina State Fair each year. He steams his weiners - Red Hots (neon red Southern weiner)for $1,50, Nathans All Beef for $2.00, Jalapeno (with the pepper already in the weiner) for $2.50, and a Sausage dog, also for $2.50. His toppings(whatever you want at no additional charge) include mustard, ketchup (ugh!), chili, onions, slaw, mayo (double ugh!), cheese, sauerraut, red onion (foo foo), and relish (we get visitors from the far north). The Red Hot is your basic Southern Chili dog with a weiner of questionable parentage, chile, onions and/or slaw, on a nice, soft bun. This is a very good hot dog. The chili is not home made since the All Knowing, All Seeing Wake County government has decided that only brick and mortar restaurants can prepare such items in their duly and regularly inspected kitchens - this apparently is true even if the rating is not particularly good. Jim uses Patterson's Grand Slam All Beef Chili, which is available in 5 pound tubs or #10 cans. This is very good commercially prepared chili, right up there with Matinee brand used by Allen & Son in Chapel Hill. The Nathan's All Beef hot dog with chili, mustard, and Jim's slaw is an outstanding slaw dog - one of the best I've tried, and I've tried more than a few. The quality of the weiner reals comes thru, and is very well showcased by the soft bun, tasty chili, and not too sweet mayo based slaw. On my next visit, I'll try the Jalapeno dog and the Sausage dog instead of the All Beef - well, probably in addition too it. Jim is friendly and personable, the service is quick, the pricing reasonable - there is no seating available, but sitting in an airconditioned auto munching several dogs ain't at all bad.
