I spoke with (James), my sales representative about the situation and was told that he would have someone reach out to schedule a time to come out to re-level it. What he didn't say was that it would cost $300 . I found that price to be extremely high considering (Tim) the person that reached out to about it , stated " we will probably just use a jack to lift up the low side and put in a couple shims". To me, that was the bare minimum and would probably take less than a 1/2 hr to do the job and should not cost 300 Not please at all, especially after being a customer who bought and referred others to this establishment because I thought they were a company that would do the right thing, when it came to any issues involving their product. I was wrong !!! I guess Sales are always the best part of the deal for Tuff Shed. Outside of that , YOUR ON YOUR OWN , even if they made even more money from your referrals and recommendations based off of how the sales experience went. Gotta do better...

I utilized TW Perry for a deck project, using them for roughly 90% of my materials and they were extremely professional. There were a few snags during the process, but both Santiago and Fernando made them right! It was a lot of materials that were ordered so small hiccups like missing parts (very small ones) and damaged items (most likely in transit) are to be expected. They credited me for the damages and even gave me the missing pieces, without giving me any grief. A++ I highly recommend this location, looking forward to my next project using them and will absolutely be referring people word of mouth style. Thank you Santiago and Fernando, you guys are awesome!

One time to check on the inventory and the second time I came with a truck to haul the wood. All staff encountered were pleasant and pretty helpful. In addition, the price at TW perry was $11 less per sheet than a local competitor. It saved me $50 going here. The parking lot is small, but it's not needed to be any larger since the traffic was minimal both times I visited. It's nice that the entrance is off the main road and it's easier to exit, especially with large trucks that frequent there.

We decided to get a quote from Rhine after they did a good job with tree maintenance/ removal and…read moreafter our neighbors recommended them. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. We paid $900 up front for the design document for a screened in porch and paver patio. Rhine doesn't provide design documents as part of the quote. You need to pay for it. Honestly the design document was nothing special; It was a 2D computer generated drawing, which I doubt could have taken the designer more than a day to develop. Also, we were told that we could use the design document with other contractors, but the document didn't include dimensions or measurements. Ultimately we didn't get a lot of value out of the design document, and we consider it a wasted expense. (Thank goodness we didn't pay the full rate of $1,800 for the design document!) Additionally, it took us several attempts to meet with the designer. He was a no-show for our first meeting (he had a personal emergency, which is understandable), but then it took several emails to land on a new appointment time. He was then late to the rescheduled appointment. We also requested design revisions via email, and we had to follow up several times to get an acknowledgment of our request, with additional follow up needed to actually get the revised version back. Finally, the quoted rate for our project compared to local competition was simply outrageous. The project cost range was about 1.5-3 times more expensive than quotes we got from other vendors. Additionally, other vendors provided 3D design renders at no cost as part of their quote. We asked what was the explanation for such a high quote: did this include all premium materials? We were told that the quote included standard materials, and that if we wanted to choose custom / premium materials, the price would go up from there. My sense was that the scope of the project was too small for them, so they quoted us something outrageous so we wouldn't go with them. But if that's the case, the business owner should have been up front with us that they only take on bigger projects before taking $900 for what wound up being a lackluster design document. Overall, we felt that we got little value from our quote process, compounded by lack of professionalism and lack of respect for our time with regard to our interaction with Rhine. If you own a multimillion dollar home and you have deep pockets then maybe Rhine will be more suited to your purposes. But it seems that Rhine is in a different market than smaller jobs for regular suburban homes in and around Ellicott City.

I can't say enough great things about Allegheny Builders. We used them for a major renovation --…read morewe doubled our square footage and dug out a new basement. To make it more interesting, we live in a historic district. Allegheny made this process as stress free as possible. Eddie Boyko and his team were amazing: reliable, hard-working, and responsive. I would email Eddie at 10:30 on a Sunday night and get a response that evening. Their quality was really excellent. I have had people in the building and construction business comment on the quality of the work that was completed by Allegheny. Of particular note is the tile work by Eddie's team: it is absolutely beautiful and perfectly aligned. I cannot look at asymmetrical tiles anymore! In the months that we have been back in our house, Eddie has continued to be responsive -- checking in and making sure we are happy. Mind you, this is after we have completed our contract with him and no longer pay him for his work. I have unreservedly recommended Allegheny to friends who are renovating, one is currently using him for a complete rear-down and is very happy. I have opened my home to any of his prospective clients so they can see the quality of his work and hear my incredibly positive experience with them. Renovation is a difficult process. Having a builder who is honest with a commitment to quality is imperative to surviving the challenge.

The most relevant is Mr. Boyko's deposition (taken and answered under oath and penalty of perjury) which contradicts many of his excuses and responses to the review. (EDIT: it appears Boyko's response has been deleted.) Many of the photos that were posted were of the master bathroom as ABC left it when they walked off the project. Notice - no sink or tub. What you can't see is that there is no toilet or shower installed either! This is the most expensive part of the entire project...would YOU give someone their final payment if you were left with this?!? (Especially when the contract SPECIFICALLY says final payment is only due when the county issues a final permit?) Additionally, there wasn't one room in the entire house that was finished. And lastly, after demanding that final payment, 14 months later Boyko finally admitted he had made a substantial error (in our favor) of over $80,000. But if we hadn't counter-sued and if we had just paid him what he demanded, he would have no doubt pocketed that money. Boyko suggests that a settlement was reached that all parties agreed to. Correct. We had no choice. According to our attorney, the only way for us to retrieve any of the amount he owed us was to let him come out of bankruptcy and pay us 10 cents on the dollar. We took that amount instead of zero and continued legal fees. He knew exactly what he was doing and when he says he was protecting other customers, the bottom line was that he was only protecting himself. Again, happy to share court documents (including his deposition testimony) and photos. We don't want this to happen to anyone else.
