Just a forewarning and to hopefully let the owners know that their membership site is not canceling properly. I will still visit the car wash, though!

I've always been to self service car washes where you get a certain amount of minutes for a certain price. So we had no idea how expensive this place would be to wash our car. We followed the directions and did the tire rinse, pre-soak, sponge mop and high pressure rinse. The sprayer stopped at $20 but we still had soap on the car. I had to re-swipe my card to finish rinsing off the soap which was another $3.75. $23.75 for a self service car wash?! What a rip-off! For the same amount of time, my local car wash would have been $10!

They charged me $685 to replace a wiring connector on the camshaft position sensor. I would hate…read moreto think what they would have charged if it were something more involved. Edit: Phil called in response to my review. See the attached invoice. I had already replaced the camshaft position sensor (a ten minute job), which was new. This did not resolve the code, which indicated the connection was intermittent. I had tested the connector with a multimeter, which indicated there was a bad connection at the connector. This was communicated to the service manager when I dropped off the vehicle. The technician stated that there was a broken tab on the camshaft position sensor, and they replaced the brand new part I had just installed. See the attached photo. That the tab could be broken without being filed off is highly suspect. It's a durable part. That the relatively fragile connector was damaged is more credible. In my opinion, as stated to the service manager, it was obviously the part that needed to be replaced. They replaced the connector, which again, I had communicated was the likely issue. They claim to have paid $110 for this part that I can purchase at Napa for $26. So in summary, I paid $685 to have them swap out a $26 connector. I can only conclude they're either dishonest or incompetent. Edit 2: Well Phil, now you're just outright lying. You did not show me the new camshaft position sensor you removed and replaced. Your technician did not perform any diagnostics, and ignored the diagnostic information I provided to you in advance. He just started swapping parts, AND overcharging for the time spent. Even if the sensor needed to be replaced, a $40 part that takes ten minutes to install, to charge me $685 is absurd.

You only get 10 minutes with a credit card and they charged my card $10. $1 per minute is extremely high. Next issue was that no soap came out when the high-pressure soap was selected. Finally, when I pushed the stop button to stop the charges, the timer continued to run. When I went in to ask the attendant, they said the timer was a known issue, but they said the soap looked fine. Maybe they didn't believe me that no soap was coming out of the hose, but they didn't seem too concerned. Just shook their heads and said, "sorry about that." No offer to refund me for not getting what I paid for.
